BloggeRhythms

Today’s daily results @rasmussenreports.com, show that Trump’s gained another point on his rival, “in the wake of Tuesday night’s vice presidential debate.”

“The latest Rasmussen Reports White House Watch telephone and online survey of Likely U.S. Voters finds Trump with a 43% to 41% lead over Clinton. Yesterday, he was ahead 42% to 41%.”

Considering the polling data, another item, this one from FoxNews.com, illustrates why the Democrat candidate is floundering. And that’s because, she has no agenda of her own, is following a failing POTUS and has absolutely nothing material to talk about.

According to the Fox article this morning: “Supporters for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and Sen. Harry Reid attacked Donald Trump after the Republican presidential nominee told his supporters about the “correct” way to pronounce Nevada.

“Trump, during a rally Wednesday in Reno, insisted the correct way to pronounce the name of the Silver State was “Neh-VAH-da.” He declared that “nobody says it the other way.”

“Clinton supporters and Reid, a Democrat from Nevada, both used the moment to assail Trump.

“American Bridge immediately put up a video declaring that Trump was “looking like an idiot” for getting the name wrong.

“A statement from Reid declared that Trump’s stop in Reno was “disastrous.”

"If Donald Trump wants to come down from the penthouse his daddy bought him to lecture us on how to say Nevada, he could at least pronounce it correctly,” Reid said in a statement. "Instead, Trump told us we pronounce the name of our state wrong minutes before he refused to take a position on Yucca Mountain.”

Thus, if the campaign on the Democrat side has come down to the spelling of the name of a state, they’ve picked the wrong one to get upset about, as usual. Because, while its true that voters certainly are concerned about a whole agenda of states, and so is Trump, they involve a different application of the word.

What voters want to see changed for the better are the “states” of the economy, employment, border control, immigration, foreign policy, health care, education, and taxation to name a few issues that are presently in the worst “state” they’ve been in since Jimmy Carter was POTUS.

All of which means that, if Trump can put the nation back on the track to recovery, most voters aren’t really going to care a whit about how he pronounces “success,” or anything else.

On another matter, it’s now becoming clearer as to why the POTUS pushed for giving up control of the Internet to an international body last week.

Paul Bedard @washingtonexaminer.com, reports today about a similar issue in an article titled: “FEC war: Dems reject call to protect Internet news, talk radio from regs”

Mr. Bedard writes: “In the latest partisan escalation on the Federal Election Commission, a top Democratic commissioner has ripped a Republican commissioner's bid to protect books, radio and Internet media from regulation as "pitiful."

“Ann Ravel, a former FEC chairwoman, joined other Democrats at a meeting this month to block Republican Lee Goodman's proposal to explicitly expand the "press exemption" from regulations to books, satellite radio and Internet-based news media.

“In pushing his plan aside, Ravel said that she didn't have enough time to consider Goodman's proposal.

“Goodman noted that the proposal has been under consideration for a while.”

At the core of the situation is the reality that, as feared by Republicans: “FEC Democrats are trying to regulate conservative media, especially news outlets and news aggregators like the Drudge Report that are online.”

As a practical reality, however, Republicans are known to be quite creative and resourceful, which is how conservative media and sources like Drudge arose in the first place. So, they’ll likely find another way to inform and educate each other. On the other hand though, most Democrats can’t even read to begin with. So the net gain of the regulation for them will be close to zero.

Bringing us to today’s update on Bill Clinton’s wife.

This one comes from Bill Gertz @freebeacon.com, who disclosed that: “Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton sought to arrange Pentagon and State Department consulting contracts for her daughter’s friend, prompting concerns of federal ethics rules violations.

“Clinton in 2009 arranged meetings between Jacqueline Newmyer Deal, a friend of Chelsea Clinton and head of the defense consulting group Long Term Strategy Group, with Pentagon officials that involved contracting discussions, according to emails from Clinton’s private server made public recently by the State Department. Clinton also tried to help Deal win a contract for consulting work with the State Department’s director of policy planning, according to the emails.

“Deal is a close friend of Chelsea Clinton, who is vice chair of the Clinton Foundation. Emails between the two were included among the thousands recovered from a private email server used by the secretary of state between 2009 and 2013. Chelsea Clinton has described Deal as her best friend. Both Clintons attended Deal’s 2011 wedding.”

So, when items like this one are added to those that have already proven considerable breaches of national security by Bill’s wife, along with abuses of power for personal gain, one has to wonder just how damaging the information was in the other 30,000 intentionally destroyed emails. Along with the dozen or so acid-washed servers also conveniently irrecoverable.

The story contains significant, well-researched detail. Here’s a link: http://freebeacon.com/national-security/clinton-sought-pentagon-state-department-contracts-chelseas-friend/

It also calls for the continuing question to be asked again: Bernie Sanders, Joe Biden, Jerry Brown, and Starbucks chairman and CEO, Howard Schultz, are you guys are reading this?

That's it for today folks.

Adios
