“Oh, waiter,” the diner said, “my steak is tough.” “Sorry, sir, we’ll get you another in just a moment, or would you prefer something else?”

Just about every sales outlet, in the United States, website, department store, retailer or provider of goods and services has a way to correct mistakes and errors, customer satisfaction being the primary goal.

Yet, the most important choice a citizen can make has no real possibility of correction for a minimum of four years. There’s no return window for a Chief Executive who’s turned out to be nothing  anywhere close to what voters were promised.

And look what they’re stuck with.

According to John McLaughlin and  @newsmax.com in an article: “Joe Biden can’t even wag the dog,” they report: “Normally, at times of crisis the American public rallies to support our President. Currently, this is not the case. After weeks of President Biden wagging the dog against Putin and Russia, he still received only a 41% job approval with 57% disapproval. The same negative job rating as last month.

“Even Joe Biden’s base is not rallying to him. President Biden has high level of disapproval among 2020 Biden voters 22%, Democrats 19%, African Americans 37%, women 55%, Hispanics 57% and independents 64%.

“The reasons for this are obvious. Two thirds, 64%, of all voters say that America is on the wrong track. Only 32% say right direction. As gas and food prices rise the top issue is inflation. The number of voters saying the economy is in recession rose to 57%.

“Two-thirds, 63%, of the voters say the economy is getting worse and only 31% said that it is getting better. This is the worst economic results since the coronavirus pandemic caused the economic shutdown in March and April of 2020.”

As noted here repeatedly, there’s no secret regarding voter dissatisfaction. Unhappiness could be fixed in a heartbeat. Taylor Tepper reported in Forbes on February 20: “The high rate of inflation in January was driven by big gains in food, electricity and shelter, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), putting further pressure on the bottom lines of average Americans.

“Energy prices grew yet again, with total prices jumping 0.9% from December—while the 12-month gains are still an astounding 27%. Gasoline prices dropped 0.8% in the month, but are still 40% higher than a year ago, while fuel oil rose 9.5% in January alone.

“The numbers dovetail with a recent survey by Fidelity’s eMoney Advisor, which found that the high cost of gas prices were the number one concern for Americans, followed by being able to pay bills and inflation overall.”

“There’s definitely a lot of financial anxiety,” said Celeste Revelli, a director of financial planning at eMoney Advisor. “It’s difficult to know how long this inflationary moment will last.”

“Certain items contributed mightily to these historic gains, as any driver can attest. Prices of used vehicles are up nearly 41% compared to 12 months prior, food is 7% higher. Shelter costs have risen by 4.4% during the same period.

“When you strip out volatile food and energy prices—so-called core CPI inflation—the picture, while somewhat brighter, still shows price gains not seen in almost forty years. That figure jibes with the Fed’s preferred inflation gauge–core Personal Consumption Expenditures (PCE)–which gained 6.1% in December compared to the year prior. Both findings are well above the Fed’s 2% target.”

Thus, all that need be done by the administration is to take back policy mandates on fossil fuel and fix them as would any provider interested in customer satisfaction. A reversal of inflation altogether would stem from that. But not these steadfast zealots in office now. To them, personal satisfaction is far more important than anything that could be done for the nation or its citizens.

But just like what happens in the rare instance where retail sellers won’t take back faulty purchases, in nine months the junk will be tossed in the Dumpster. Albeit in this case some of the ineffectual remains will lay around gathering dust in a corner of the White House for another three years or so.

That’s it for today folks.

PS: Losing their lion tamer, Ringling Brothers, Barnum & Bailey Circus advertised for a replacement.

Two candidates arrived for audition at the same time. One in Frank Buck jungle-hunting attire, bearing a chair and a whip, obviously a professional. The other, a bartending Bronx Congresswoman who lion tames in her countless hours of spare time, wears a full-length fur coat, buttoned tightly from head to toe.

Standing next to the huge cage in which acts are performed, the ringmaster says, “Allright, who’ll go first?,” pointing to an enormous full-maned lion, left unfed for two days prior to ensure ferocity, ready to burst into the spotlighted center ring from an adjacent chute.

Being a dignified gentlemanly type, the Frank Buck lookalike says, “I think the lady should go ahead.”

Saying, ”Thank you, sir,” the Congresswoman enters the lion cage through the door held open by an attendant, proceeding to the center of the ring.

When the chute door is opened, the starving, vicious beast leaps out, paws extended ready to pounce on the Congresswoman, his next meal.

With the lion in mid-air, paws out, claws extended, the Congresswoman unbuttons the full-length mink coat, dropping it to the floor, exposing herself as completely nude wearing not a stitch.

Seeing his now naked prey, the lion stops mid-leap, drops to the floor, crawling the rest of the way tongue out to wind up rolling around on the floor of the cage with the bare Congresswoman as if a happy kitten. After the two spend a playful while, the Congresswoman puts her coat back on to exit the cage, the lion continuing to purr, sits quietly inside as she departs.

With that, the ringmaster turns to the Frank Buck lookalike, asking “Can you top that?”

Buck says, “I sure can. If you get that damn lion out of there.”

Whatever one’s feeling toward Donald Trump, his address to the Conservative Political Action Conferences was much like one having crawled across a desert for a prolonged period and suddenly coming across an oasis and fresh water.

Oddly enough, his delivery to CPAC wasn’t particularly political but instead, practicality and the simplest common sense. For example, he lamented “While Russia is facing NATO opposition to its invasion of Ukraine, Biden administration climate czar John Kerry is talking about "global warming," according to Eric Mack @newsmax.com.

His telling the crowd, "We have a world that's ready to blow up and disintegrate over energy, and he's talking about global warming. The oceans may rise over the next 300 years about one-hundredth of an inch,” was like reading one’s own words, posted here on countless occasions over the years.

"He's not thinking about the nuclear warming," Trump added, regarding Kerry. "He's thinking about other types of warming. These people are not living in a world of reality."

And then, in a relatively brief paragraph, the former president summed up the cause, effect and entire rationale for the nation’s current condition. Placing the blame precisely where it belongs regarding strangling inflation and spiraling, uncontrollable financial burdens now borne across the economy.

Denouncing Biden’s destroying energy independence and emboldening Vladimir Putin to invade Ukraine, Trump said: “Unbelievably, Biden is now claiming that you must sacrifice through higher energy prices to foot the cost of his failed foreign policy in Europe. But in reality, the reason we have soaring gas prices is that Biden shut down American Energy, canceled our oil and gas leases, and canceled the Keystone XL Pipeline, while he enriched Putin by approving the Russian pipeline, which I had shut down and blocked."

That too, is factual reality mentioned here frequently while leftist leaders dodge, weave and mislead the public consistently as they avoid addressing the true costs and harm to the economy stemming from socialist philosophy.

Then, still employing the simplest of presentation, Trump summarized world conditions resultant of political policy and its ramifications, saying: “With Biden, you get a war in Europe, and a war on American Energy. With Republicans, you get energy independence, and energy dominance." It’s as fundamental as that.

In closing, he most importantly delivered hope for the future, saying "We will reclaim our status as the No. 1 energy superpower on the face of the earth, something that I had achieved for the first time in 72 years."

Calling for the end of Biden's buying of Russian oil, Trump went on "We should not be buying Russian energy but rather allow the people of our country to start producing like they did just one year ago. This will drive prices down, make war more difficult, and greatly lower the inflation that is ravaging our country."

What struck most vividly here is that when campaigning, Biden pledged to quickly cure Covid, immediately reinvigorate the economy, and reopen schools among myriad other promises. What he actually did upon inauguration was to immediately cancel the Keystone pipeline along with drilling on vast Federal properties while taking opposite positions to any and all things even remotely endorsed by Trump. Regarding Covid, finally admitting failure, he ultimately turned responsibility back to respective state governors.

By comparison, the nation now sees the effects of the weakest administration in its history, taken advantage of by Putin as a result, compared to the proven record of Trump who successfully fulfilled every promise, including energy independence and the world’s strongest economy, along with global peace and security.

Thus, disregarding one’s personal feelings about individuals, but simply considering results of comparative administrative approaches to date, how can Trump’s far superior performance in office be disputed by anyone?

That’s it for today folks.

The bartender, a Bronx Congresswoman who slings beers on weekends for tips, asks Putin: "Where'd you get the filthy, self-serving Communist pig?"

The bartender says: "I was talking to the duck."

Wasn’t planning to post today but, the level of outright childish stubbornness coupled with incapability of this administration must be commented upon.

Opportunities to significantly cripple Russia’s economy will likely never be better than then now. Ukrainian’s are turning out to be far more formidable than Putin expected, Germany can guarantee security of supply even without Russian gas or oil, and the rest of the world will try to avoid dealing with Russia economically at all costs.

Amidst this singular chance to demonstrate aptitude, managerial capability and administrative maturity will Biden and the four lunatic Congress women step up to their responsibility? Absolutely not!

What they will do is not only continue, but likely reinforce their promotion of non-existent “climate-change” because to do otherwise would be admitting that Trump was correct. Properly produced fossil fuels present no real threat to the environment.

On the other hand, were these intellectually limited Progressives to use what mental acuity they do have, they’d realize that by turning the nation’s oil production spigots on they’d not only turn the economy around quite quickly, but get full credit for it and almost certainly assure reelection. But no, these shortsighted zealots prefer to stand firmly against logic and keep building the political gallows they’ll hang themselves from this coming November.

And what’s even far more ridiculous is, if these dingbat women in the House really cared a whit about environmental safety, or knew an iota of what they preach about, they’d realize that our nation produces the highest quality oil and natural gas on the planet. Which means that by forcing use of petroleum from Russia, or any other nations, they are contributing to air quality reduction and pollution worldwide.

But alas, while there’s currently no cure for stupidity, selfishness, professional ineptitude, incapability, or childish stubbornness, what capabilities to administrate the nation’s $24.79 trillion economy could truly be expected from a group most influenced by a bartender from the Bronx?

That’s it for today folks.

It’s difficult to get one’s head around others acceptance of irrational ideas. Particularly concepts so extreme, they cannot possibly stand up to the most basic application of logic. Yet, citizens will soon be paying as much as six, seven or more dollars a gallon for gas because computer models indicated to leftists that the climate is destined to change harmfully in the unidentifiable future. What’s more, fossil fuel prices being the cornerstone, most other costs of living will reflect similar increases, dramatically affecting budgets of the least able to afford them.

Remarkably, with inflation seeming here to stay, Biden and the four female lunatic hard-lefters in Congress still determinedly ignore strains on constituents budgets although it’s doubtful any one of them actually grasps what “climate-change“ is all about. Nonetheless, for them every utterance, conversation or other interchange warns of the coming “climate “change,” as an ingrained part of everyday communication.

Sadly, however, it’s doubtful that climatology is in fact a deep concern for any of the five noted above, nor is the probability high that there is significant knowledge of the subject among them. The ideology is far more likely nothing more than a major plank in their party’s platform.

Therefore, were there true conversations had about the actual subject, one wonders how any of these climate-change zealots could rightfully explain their fanaticism in view of the existence of El Nino, which Wikipedia explains as follows:

SpanishEl Niñolit. 'The Boy' (/ɛl ˈniːn.joʊ/; Spanish: [el ˈniɲo]) is the warm phase of the El Niño–Southern Oscillation (ENSO) and is associated with a band of warm ocean water that develops in the central and east-central equatorial Pacific (approximately between the International Date Line and 120°W), including the area off the Pacific coast of South America. The ENSO is the cycle of warm and cold sea surface temperature (SST) of the tropical central and eastern Pacific Ocean. El Niño is accompanied by high air pressure in the western Pacific and low air pressure in the eastern Pacific. El Niño phases are known to last close to four years; however, records demonstrate that the cycles have lasted between two and seven years. During the development of El Niño, rainfall develops between September–November.[clarification needed][1] The cool phase of ENSO is SpanishLa Niñalit. 'The Girl', with SSTs in the eastern Pacific below average, and air pressure high in the eastern Pacific and low in the western Pacific. The ENSO cycle, including both El Niño and La Niña, causes global changes in temperature and rainfall.

Developing countries that depend on their own agriculture and fishing, particularly those bordering the Pacific Ocean, are usually most affected. In this phase of the Oscillation, the pool of warm water in the Pacific near South America is often at its warmest about Christmas."

And then there’s the “polar vortex,” described as a “low pressure area—a wide expanse of swirling cold air—that is parked in polar regions. During winter, the polar vortex at the North Pole expands, sending cold air southward. This happens fairly regularly and is often associated with outbreaks of cold temperatures in the United States.

“Often when the polar vortex is strong, temperatures are mild in the mid-latitudes across the Eastern US and Northern Eurasia; and when the vortex is weak, temperatures tend to be cold across the Eastern US and northern Europe and Asia.

What's most important to grasp from the preceding is that “The ENSO cycle, including both El Niño and La Niña, causes global changes in temperature and rainfall. And therefore, it is not computer models that determine climate activity in the future, but the proclivities of nature itself. As a result, unpredictable spans of global warming, global cooling along with periods of neutrality will occur in times ahead.

Consequently, considering what is currently at stake regarding the massive negative effects of inflation on everyday citizens, there should be some serious debate regarding the costs incurred from “climate-change,” particularly since Biden and his Congresswomen supporters position rests squarely upon unsupportable supposition.

That’s it for today folks.

BloggeRhythms

Here’s some text from an article @www.theguardian.com/world back on Tuesday June 29, 2010: The hip and friendly young man with the brunette girlfriend in the front seat as he whipped around Washington in a top-end Mercedes-Benz attracted more envy than suspicion.

“A few hundred miles away, in a tree-lined, middle-class New Jersey suburb that is home to one of America's most famous comedians, residents equally saw little to worry about in the unremarkable couple with two young daughters, although they did register the cars cruising by taking pictures.

“And the fiery Latin American newspaper columnist drew more amusement than scrutiny for her repeated praise of Fidel Castro.

“So it was from Virginia to Boston, and from New York to Seattle: married couples with families, young get-ahead professionals, even noisy anti-government agitators – all seemingly unremarkable in the American mix. Even the accents did not raise eyebrows in a country of immigrants.

“But the carefully-crafted American normality, sometimes built over a decade or more, has been shattered with the FBI arresting 10 alleged Russian spies on Sunday in Yonkers, Boston and northern Virginia. Five of the suspects appeared in court yesterday. An 11th suspect remains at large.

"Those charged lived as ordinary suburban "couples working ordinary jobs, chatting to the neighbours about schools and apologising for noisy teenagers," according to the New York Times. Some of the four accused couples, including residents of Montclair, New Jersey, and Yonkers, even had children together to make their cover more realistic, according to the New York Daily News"

Historically speaking, at the top, there’s the infamous Aldrich Ames who performed as a CIA operative for over thirty-one years, but in fact was a KGB mole.

More recently, according to the FBI, on October 13, 2020: “[S]pies were trained in Russia to assimilate into everyday American life by getting married, obtaining jobs and raising families, while also sending encoded messages back home, the FBI agents say. The spies lived double lives.

And now today, information found @www.borderreport.com says: “U.S. authorities stopped another 178,840 unauthorized migrants at the southern border in December, a 2 percent increase over the previous month.

“U.S. Customs and Border Protection figures now show that more than 2 million unauthorized migrants came across the Mexican border in the calendar year and were apprehended or turned themselves in – in addition to those not stopped or detected.

What’s more, when it comes to narcotics seized at the border, “heroin seizures were up 113 percent, cocaine seizures increased 28 percent; methamphetamines and fentanyl seizures were down 59 and 51 percent, respectively.

Thus, as mentioned here often earlier, while the world rightfully focuses on the now begun Russian invasion of Ukraine, probability says there’s a simultaneous infiltration of Russian operatives advantageously using the wide open entryway at the United States southern border. Even without the history of Russia’s secret espionage over decades, Putin’s prior KGB experience makes it difficult to believe he wouldn’t avail of the welcome mat provided by Biden and the four leftist lunatic women in Congress.

So, who knows where Russian secret infiltration will lead. All that’s a virtual certainty at present is that a huge vulnerability exists simply because Biden and those on the far left value themselves, their pocketbooks and their personal opportunities far more than any responsibility to their nation or their constituents.

That’s it for today folks.

Justin Gomez says @abcnews.go.com: ”With fears of a Russian attack on Ukraine remaining a "distinct possibility," President Joe Biden is sending a stark warning to Americans about what he says could be very real economic consequences at home -- especially at the gas pump.

"I will not pretend this will be painless," Biden said Tuesday while preparing Americans to be prepared for higher energy prices in the U.S. if Russian President Vladimir Putin decides to attack Ukraine and the Biden administration in turn puts its "powerful" sanctions in place.”

Biden’s warning again stimulated thought of the enormous effects of political philosophy upon the everyday lives of ordinary citizens.

In that regard, below are a couple of pictures of Mar A Lago, President Trump’s Florida home. He believes every American citizen should have an unbound opportunity to acquire a similar residence, hoping that all have the capabilities to attain their goals. Trump’s own family started from scratch. His Dad, Fred, began a career in home construction and sales.

From Wikipedia: “Their real estate development company was incorporated as E. Trump & Son in 1927 (later called the Fred Trump Organization). It grew to build and manage single-family houses in Queens, barracks and garden apartments for U.S. Navy personnel near major shipyards along the East Coast, and more than 27,000 apartments in New York City.”

Whereas in the United States all citizens have free choice, where and how they each reside is up to them. The Trump family currently lives in this home by themselves.

Residential housing can be quite expensive, along with all of the other costs of living. That’s why Republicans, and certainly Trump, believe taxes should be as low as possible with government making every effort and beyond to help citizens afford their livelihoods. Helping control cost of living is also why Republicans, and Trump in particular, did all they could to maximize domestic production and lower costs of necessities such as fossil fuel, the driving force of the nation's economy

Alternatively, those on the left believe that government is better able to manage citizen’s lives, particularly income. That’s why taxation is maximized, enabling administration’s to accumulate and redistribute to all, employed or not, providing each with necessities of life. Naturally, whereas they’re performing a critical managerial role, before redistribution their skim comes off the top.

For citizen’s comfortable with government providing major necessities, such as rent, no real incentive exists to maintain a landlord’s property, which is a reason why so many leftist controlled cities look like that below. Be it New York, Los Angeles, Detroit, Baltimore and all the rest. Additionally, personal safety is also questionable in those locations, whereas the left believes police are prejudicial, racist and physical threats to individuals.

In summary, freedom of choice is the cornerstone of American philosophy, voters deciding for themselves whatever path to choose. Yet, one would think that with proven results of potential outcomes and probabilities of attaining comfortable lifestyles, there’s a definitive likelihood of some sort of derangement syndrome among those comprising the hardcore left wishing to remove all chance of success for themselves and others.

That’s it for today folks.

BloggeRhythms

Following up on yesterday’s post, it seems Putin’s now begun moving troops into rebel-held areas in eastern Ukraine, perhaps meaning he’s decided to proceed with efforts to reclaim the nation for the Kremlin. That, however, does not necessarily mean that any type of infiltration into the U.S. has been abandoned because another alternative’s been chosen. Putin is a well-seasoned, alert, and intelligent leader, fully capable of pursuing both alternatives simultaneously.

And it’s thoughts regarding simultaneous pursuit of multi-objectives that spurred today’s commentary, whereas limited intellectual capacity or plain old incompetence is most likely the greatest self-made hurdle for Progressives. For them, there are never middle-grounds or areas for negotiation . . . it’s always all or nothing. And, practically speaking, in a nation such as America, where free thoughts abound throughout the population, the hard left always paints itself into a corner, because Progressives leave no room to bargain.

Presently, because the hard-left demanded newly-elected Biden to shut the Keystone pipeline, along with other steps to cripple domestic oil production in the U.S. as his very first acts upon taking office, the chain of events began that eventuated into inflations return to above 7%. That in turn, spurred myriad problems including forcing the lowest income earners to choose between purchasing food, fuel or paying rent each month.

Without specifically re-listing here all the well-known problems currently hamstringing the nation, common throughout is the “my-way or the highway stance” taken by Progressives that dooms them from the outset by shooting themselves in the foot. As a practical matter, simple statistics tell them that they as a faction represent a very small portion of the Democrat party. On December 17, 2020, Gallup polling found that 31% of Americans identified as Democrats, 25% identified as Republican, and 41% as Independent. According to Pew Research, 12% of Democrats lean “hard left.” Meaning that in total, a paltry 3.72% of the electorate overall are effectuating governance of the United States.

As it happened, regardless of limited membership, due to Biden’s need for their support, that 3.72% of the electorate wound up influencing national policy virtually completely. Utilizing their power fully from the outset of Biden’s term, hard-left policy-makers have now become the undeniable cause of the nation’s woes. Had there been some kind of gradual reduction of the use of fossil fuel, the U.S. would not have to be groveling now with foreign nations for affordable oil. Had the price of fuel not risen as it has, costs of living would not have accelerated so dramatically across the board. Had costs of living not increased as they have, events in foreign oil-producing nations would not have mattered very much at all. At the same time, Progressives would be free to implement their agenda in an acceptable, timely manner instead of minimizing their opportunity window for nine more months until November 2022 when Republicans will overwhelmingly replace them.

But, orderly transition is not what happened. By way of narrow-minded, non-negotiable thinking, Progressives have now clearly identified themselves as enemies to the republic for no rational reason. By placing their own immediacy on policy reversal, every-day normal activities of life, such as filling one’s car, has branded these intellectual dwarfs as outright villains. Buying a loaf of bread is now stimulus to thinking of why the price has risen so high for ordinary voters. And that will come back to bite.

This once more brings back thoughts of Rush on December 10th, 2021 as quoted by Jeffrey Rodack appearing on Newsmax, as follows: “I actually think that we’re trending toward secession,” he said. “I see more and more people asking what in the world do we have in common with the people who live in, say, New York? What is there that makes us believe that there is enough of us there to even have a chance at winning New York, especially if you’re talking about votes.

“A lot of bloggers have written extensively about how distant and separated and how much more separated our culture is becoming politically and that it can’t go on this way. There cannot be a peaceful coexistence of two completely different theories of life, theories of government, theories of how we manage our affairs. We can’t be in this dire a conflict without something giving somewhere along the way.

“I know that there’s a sizable and growing sentiment for people who believe that that is where we’re headed whether we want to or not. Whether we want to go there or not. I, myself, haven’t made up my mind. I still haven’t given up the idea that we are the majority and that all we have to do is find a way to unite and win.”

But, none of this had to happen. Had Progressives thought like adults, used their new-found power to gradually introduce ideological change, illustrating by example why their philosophy of governance provided significant benefit, who knows how long they could have prevailed? But not them, instead they applied world-class stupidity full-bore immediately, insuring that Putin has considerably more power today in the U.S. and everywhere else than Biden.

That’s it for today folks.

BloggeRhythms

Today’s posting is in no way factual documentation of world events, but simply thoughts of one spending significant time absorbing information from the currently newsworthy. And it is in that vein that the following theoretical circumstance came about.

As a practical matter, other than perhaps increasing regional power there really doesn’t seem much to be gained by Russia’s invading Ukraine. What’s more, costs in manpower and resources are enormous compounded by losses to be sustained in international relationships and image. So then, what is the true objective?

And that’s where the lightning bolt hit, because the Putin strategy may not truly be creating an incident between two Eastern European nations at all, but in fact be aimed at the United States. For one as adept at maximizing potential gain from world events as Putin, he may very well be considering taking advantage of a never to be repeated moment in time.

At present the entire civilized world is in weakened status, recovering from the effects of Covid 19. But more specifically, several other damaging factors apply directly to the United States. Due to a full year of constant administration failures, incapability’s, and misjudgments, the nation has sunk to Jimmy Carter-like weakness, creating significant opportunities to hostile others.

Thus, what if Ukraine’s surrounding is an elaborate diversion to occupy mindless Biden types, while any number of  Russian underground elite infiltrate the U.S. across a wide open southern border. Next, combine the possible build-up of Russian assets in the U.S., along with watered-down police presences in major cities, masses of uninformed citizens due to a conspiring  press, Covid shutdowns and shortages of supplies and food. Along with all that, additional help, intended or not, comes from the four Communist congresswomen working against the nation with Sanders who've forced dependence on foreign oil while domestic resources and supply are crippled. Extra enhancement also derives from China’s capture of world medication production and countless stolen intellectual property.

Considering all of the above, it should not prove surprising whatsoever that one astute as Putin sees this unique opportunity to avail of the weakest president and administration in the nation’s history.

Interestingly enough, the current situation is also remindful of one mentioned here in the past regarding Nikita Khrushchev’s address to the UN in his “shoe pounding" prediction message for the US back in 1959: “Your children's children will live under communism," he said, "you Americans are so gullible. No, you won't accept communism outright; but we will keep feeding you small doses of socialism until you will finally wake up and find you already have Communism. We will not have to fight you; We will so weaken your economy, until you will fall like overripe fruit into our hands. The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.”

Here are the objectives of the “small doses” Khrushchev was referring to:

1) Healthcare - Control healthcare and you control the people.

2) Poverty - Increase the poverty level as high as possible, poor people are easier to control and will not fight back if you are providing everything for them.

3) Debt - Increase the debt to an unsustainable level. That way you are able to increase taxes, and this will produce more poverty.

4) Gun Control - Remove the ability to defend themselves from the Government. That way you are able to create a police state.

5) Welfare - Take control of every aspect (food, housing, income) of their lives because that will make them fully dependent on the government.

6) Education - Take control of what people read and listen to and take control of what children learn in school.

7) Religion - Remove the belief in God from the Government and schools because the people need to believe in ONLY the government knowing what is best for the people

8) Class Warfare - Divide the people into the wealthy and the poor. Eliminate the middle class. This will cause more discontent and it will be easier to tax the wealthy with the support of the poor

Thus, from Khrushchev’s perspective the current US condition couldn’t be better for “[falling] like overripe fruit into our hands.”

Of course, whether today’s hypothesis has any merit or not remains to be seen. But it certainly seems the odds are significant that Ukraine and all the rest are specifically planned by Putin who undoubtedly sees unlimited opportunity to capture whatever desired from the inside with not a hint of hostility toward the U.S. Just like magician’s capture children’s attention with shiny objects in one hand as they perform their tricks with the other.

That’s it for today folks.

Just a few quick notes today to be followed up in the future. Got tied up in some other types of personal business.

However, today is more in regard to expected future happenings than it is to specific occurrences for Bill Clinton’s wife.

Rich Lowry reported today @nypost.com that: “The latest from special counsel John Durham is that a tech executive connected to the Hillary Clinton campaign mined internet contacts between Russia and the entities connected to Donald Trump in a search for material to try, as Durham put it in a court filing last week, to “establish ‘an inference’ and ‘narrative’ tying then-candidate Trump to Russia.

Durham’s probe is a righteous effort to get to the bottom of a matter that deranged American politics for two solid years but has been derided or ignored by the mainstream press, with baleful consequences.

“According to Durham, a tech executive named Rodney Joffe engaged in the information operation against Trump and his campaign. He allegedly coordinated with Michael Sussmann, a lawyer for the Clinton campaign, and his highly connected law firm, Perkins Coie, that did work for both the Clinton campaign and the Democratic Party. Durham notes that Joffe also joined up with an investigative firm that Perkins Coie hired on behalf of the Clinton campaign, numerous cyber researchers, employees at various internet companies and researchers at a US-based university. He sought, he said, to please VIPs in both the Clinton campaign and Perkins Coie.

What had the greatest implication of Mr. Durham’s latest release may not be the information itself, but the timing of his announcement. Because after remaining low key for quite some time, we hear from Mr. Durham again very shortly after Clinton’s wife gave indications of another possible run at the presidency.

And perhaps this is Mr. Durham’s way of telling Clinton’s wife that enough is enough. That his original plan was to take an appropriate amount of time, get his duck’s in precisely the right order before proceeding with his case. But if she keeps insisting on butting in to the electoral process, perhaps he’ll keep dropping indictable charges to those who surround her in the same way as the present one’s. Maybe all the way up to herself, Obama and Biden.

Now, although this posting is just a short suggestion of what the future might hold for the Durham probe and where it might lead, it’s certainly well within reasonable consideration that assuring that Clinton’s wife receives all due penalties and remains out of office is a major Durham objective.

That’s it for today folks.

BloggeRhythms

Today’s one that compounds the frustration of having to deal with the consequences of an administration that puts politics above and beyond the best interests of the nation and its citizens.

According to Thomson/Reuters  @https://www.newsmax.com/finance: “Oil prices rose on Monday, climbing towards their highest levels in more than seven years on fears that a possible invasion of Ukraine by Russia could trigger sanctions from U.S. and Europe and disrupt energy exports from the world's top producer.

“Brent crude futures was at $95.73 a barrel by 0109 GMT, up $1.29, or 1.4%, after earlier hitting an intraday high of $95.91. U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude rose $1.49, or 1.6%, to $94.59 a barrel, hovering near a session-high of $94.92.”

"If ... troop movement happens, Brent crude won't have any trouble rallying above the $100 level," OANDA analyst Edward Moya said in a note.

"Oil prices will remain extremely volatile and sensitive to incremental updates regarding the Ukraine situation."

According to Gavekal Research Ltd., a consultancy: “Fossil fuels -- oil, as well as coal and natural gas -- provide more than 80% of the global economy’s energy. And the cost of a typical basket of them is now up more than 50% from a year ago”

While the effects of dependency on foreign oil production are felt by all throughout the U.S. and discussed continually in the media, the cause is rarely analyzed in any detail. Instead the general heading “Climate-change” is applied and accepted without question. However, Climate-change itself actually evolved from the original “global-warming” prediction that never materialized except in computer models.

As far as reality goes, the best description of the current winter season comes from The Farmer’s Almanac: "Brrr! The 2022 Old Farmer’s Almanac comes with a winter warning: Prepare for a “Season of Shivers.” This winter will be punctuated by positively bone-chilling, below-average temperatures across most of the United States.

“This coming winter could well be one of the longest and coldest that we’ve seen in years,” says Janice Stillman, editor of The Old Farmer’s Almanac. For 230 years, the Almanac has been helping readers to prepare for winter’s worst with its 80 percent–accurate weather forecasts.

“In some places, the super cold of the coming winter will also bring lots of snow. This extreme wintry mix is expected in areas of New England as well as throughout the Ohio Valley, in northern portions of the Deep South, and in southeast New Mexico.

“Above-average snowfall is also in the forecast along a track from eastern Montana southward through the western halves of the Dakotas and into northeastern Colorado. While temperatures in this mid-country strip will be relatively normal, snowfall will be abundant, with several storms predicted throughout the winter.”

And although pretty much exactly what the Almanac forecasted, a frigid winter happened, we citizens are suffering the ramifications of non-refuted political rhetoric employed as a scare tactic from the start. What’s more, it isn’t just gasoline and heating oil prices that are affected by fossil fuel fears, the energy crunch also compounds the ongoing squeeze in global supply chains, which drove up costs, delayed raw materials and shrunk finished goods inventory's.

Here’s what two readers posted following the Thomson/Reuters  article:

MTMountainman commented:If we had a President instead of Chairman Comrade Joe Fraud destroying everything, the world would not have to be worried about oil production or prices. Our energy production could bury Putin, Russia and their allies (the Biden Crime Family).”

FWS wrote: “Don’t just blame the Ukraine situation for the fast rising oil prices when we have an ignorant president who took this country from a net exporter of oil to having us begging the Middle East to increase production. All because Biden shut down oil pipelines and cancelled oil leases et al.”

John posted: “The oil and inflation two step: Step one - Donald Trump restarts the Keystone XL pipeline that had been stopped by Obama; oil prices immediately drop (forward looking markets) and inflation is held under control. Step two - Joe Biden kills the Keystone XL project; oil prices immediately spike, leading to Carter level inflation.

Lastly, the dire predictions of global-warming climate-change are worth repeating, particularly the last sentence. “Increased heat, drought and insect outbreaks, all linked to climate change, have increased wildfires. Declining water supplies, reduced agricultural yields, health impacts in cities due to heat, and flooding and erosion in coastal areas are additional concerns.”

Nonetheless, it doesn’t seen that the ”flooding and erosion in coastal areas are additional concerns,” for climate activists Barbara Streisand who owns a $100 million Malibu oceanfront property,  Al Gore whose gated ocean-view villa on 1 1/2 acres with a swimming pool, spa and fountains cost $8,875,000, or Obama who has one home on the southeastern tip of Oahu he paid $8.7 million for and another $11.75 million estate on the beach at Martha’s Vineyard.

That’s an awful lot of bucks to spend for folks who put in so much time convincing us that climate-change is the major issue facing our nation. And that preventing it’s looming damage is worth our paying $4 bucks a gallon to fill our vehicles. Meanwhile, they've laid out millions and millions themselves, without a water-front worry in the world.

That’s it for today folks.

BloggeRhythms

Today’s items relate more to trends than to particulars in the news. Both come from newsmax.com and both predicate on polls.

Theodore Bunker writes @newsmax.com:A new poll conducted more than a year after the Capitol attack found that fewer Americans in both parties say former President Donald Trump bears a lot of responsibility for the events on that day compared to polling at the time.”

“Pew Research Center compared the results of a survey taken in January 2022 to one conducted in January 2021 that asked U.S. voters whether Trump bears “a lot” of responsibility, “some” responsibility” or is not “at all” responsible “for the violence and destruction committed by some of his supporters when they broke into the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.”

The poll found:

  • 43% in 2022 said Trump bears “a lot” of responsibility for the attack.
  • 52% in 2021 said Trump bore “a lot” of responsibility for the attack.
  • 24% in 2022 said Trump bears “some” responsibility for the attack.
  • 23% in 2021 said Trump bore “some” responsibility for the attack.
  • 32% in 2022 said Trump bears “none at all” responsibility for the attack.
  • 24% in 2021 said Trump bore “none at all” responsibility for the attack.

Digging deeper into the statistics reveals that, unsurprisingly, individual perception of responsibility for the Capitol attack relates directly to political party affiliation, as follows:

“A majority of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents now believe that Trump bears no responsibility for the attack on the Capitol, according to the poll.

  • 70% of Democrats in 2022 said Trump bears “a lot” of responsibility for the attack.
  • 81% of Democrats in 2021 said Trump bore “a lot” of responsibility for the attack.
  • 17% of Democrats in 2022 said Trump bears “some” responsibility for the attack.
  • 14% of Democrats in 2021 said Trump bore “some” responsibility for the attack.
  • 10% of Republicans in 2022 said Trump bears “a lot” of responsibility for the attack.
  • 18% of Republicans in 2021 said Trump bore “a lot” of responsibility for the attack.
  • 57% of Republicans in 2022 said Trump bears “none at all” responsibility for the attack.
  • 46% of Republicans in 2021 said Trump bore “none at all” responsibility for the attack.

Considering the changes in opinion over the last 12 months regarding Trump’s responsibility, one can only assume that by the time of the next presidential election the event will have no real implication at all.

On the other hand, however, another poll presents considerable consternation for the present chief executive.

According to Luca Cacciatore, also at newsmax.com, “The latest CNN poll conducted by SSRS from Jan. 10 to Feb. 6 showed President Joe Biden's disapproval rating reaching a staggering 58% among U.S. adults, according to results released on Thursday.

“Only 41% of respondents approved of his performance. The same poll had Biden's approval at 49% and disapproval at 51% in December.

“Among independents, 36% approved of Biden's job performance. For Republicans, that number was at 9%. Democratic approval for the president dropped from 94% last summer to 83% in the latest survey.”

While the results themselves are not surprising, the source is. Because these numbers come from CNN, who will certainly do all possible to slant them in Biden’s favor. In fact, it’s also highly probable that CNN did help where they could, thus suggesting that true disapproval is likely even higher.

Within this poll, another statistic provided particular insight as to voter sentiment: “Disapprovers of the president were also asked to name a single thing he has done that they approved of. A shocking 56% said they have nothing positive to say about his term.”

Viewing the poll results brings another thought to mind regarding voter predilections and tendencies. In particular, the fact that progressives tend to be slackers, poorly informed, gullible, and most importantly, stubborn and spoiled. Because if they were to use whatever intelligence they might possess, they’d learn from their mistakes, gather helpful information, and try to negotiate or in some way appease their opponents to some extent.

But not these intellectual dwarfs. For them it’s “my way or the highway,” making every issue, no matter how ridiculous in practicality a toe to toe confrontation. And the more the public sees of their objectives and the results, the more distaste grows.

So, while progressives continually refuse to bend in their administrative approach, the rising prices of fuel and food to the average voter along with removal of the southern border and it’s attendant risks to national security, coupled with forced use of ineffective masks, the cost of fictional climate-change and crime overtaking the nation’s largest cities...the policies themselves will bring an end to the insanity when voters next go to the booths.

That’s it for today folks.
