BloggeRhythms

Today’s one of those that underscores the veracity of the premise that timing is everything.

In that regard, Charlie Spiering writes @breitbart.com about the POTUS when campaigning in Miami saying that “Trump didn’t come out of nowhere now. For years, Republican politicians and far-right media outlets had just been pumping out all kinds of toxic, crazy stuff.”

Employing a “straw man” attack against conservative media, he accused them of starting “the whole birther thing” and calling climate change a “Chinese hoax.”

“According to them,” he said incredulously, “I’m powerful enough to cause these hurricanes, and I’m about to steal everybody’s guns in the middle of the night and declare martial law, but somehow I still need a teleprompter to finish a sentence.”

And then, on the very same day that the POTUS took conservative media to task in a tirade, particularly mentioning their skepticism about “climate change,” another story appeared on Drudge.

This one by Sean Martin @express.co.uk is titled: “Earth faces another ICE AGE within 15 YEARS as Russian scientists discover Sun 'cooling”

Using a new model, experts can now predict solar activity with more accuracy than ever before. It’s not been seen as low as it now is since the mini-ice age that took place between 1645 and 1715 – a period known as the Maunder Minimum where the entire Thames froze over.

A new model suggests that magnetic activity will fall by 60 per cent between 2030 and 2040 by looking at “the Sun’s ’11-year heartbeat’ – the period it takes for magnetic activity to fluctuate. This cycle was first discovered some 173 years ago.”

The more up-to-date model, established by a mathematician, can now forecast what the solar cycles will look like based upon dynamo effects in two layers of the Sun.

“Dynamo effects are a geophysical theory that dictate how the movement of the Earth’s outer core conducts materials like liquid iron across the magnetic field to create an electric current – this also influences fluid motion beneath Earth’s surface to create two magnetic fields along the axis of the Earth’s rotation.

“Valentina Zharkova from Northumbria University applied this theory to the Sun, and was able to predict the affects of solar cycles with 97 per cent accuracy.

Ms Zharkova said at the National Astronomy Meeting: “We found magnetic wave components appearing in pairs, originating in two different layers in the Sun's interior.

“They both have a frequency of approximately 11 years, although this frequency is slightly different, and they are offset in time.

“Combining both waves together and comparing to real data for the current solar cycle, we found that our predictions showed an accuracy of 97 per cent.”

“Ms Zharkova says the next cycle is set to peak in 2022, and the cycle after, known as Cycle 26, will herald a new ice age.

“During the Maunder minimum, temperatures dropped globally by 1.3 degrees celsius.

“Although it seems insignificant, it led to shorter seasons and ultimately food shortages.

“The Maunder Minimum is also known as the "prolonged sunspot minimum" and is the name used for the period starting in about 1645 and continuing to about 1715

“During this 70 year period sunspots became exceedingly rare.

“The phenomenon was only properly researched in 1976 when  John Eddy published a scientific paper.”

Thus, if nothing else, what this new climate predictor establishes is that “global-warming” may very well be a total farce, as many in the conservative media believe to be true. On the other hand, the POTUS may prove to be correct in the end. However, no one will really know the truth until the future actually arrives, making all the speculation from the conservative media absolutely legitimate and certainly reasonable.

Bringing us to today’s update on Bill Clinton’s wife.

According to FoxNews.com today: “Despite conducting her own government business through a personal “homebrew” server while secretary of state, Hillary Clinton is seen in a newly obtained video lecturing her staff of their “special duty” to recognize the importance of cybersecurity.

“The real key to cybersecurity rests with you,” Clinton says in the 2010 video, which was obtained by FoxNews.com. “Complying with department computing policies and being alert to potential threats will help protect all of us.”

Underscoring the important work the State Department Bureau of Diplomatic Security and IT department were doing to guard against cyber-attacks, she warns that “hackers try to “exploit” vulnerabilities and penetrate department systems. She then urges staffers to log onto the internal cybersecurity awareness website or subscribe to their “cybersecurity awareness newsletter.”

“Together we can do our part to improve the security of the State Department and of our nation,” Clinton says.

House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Jason Chaffetz told Foxnews.com: “Hillary Clinton needs only to look into the mirror to find the biggest cyber security risk."

Proving Chaffetz’s point: “In 2010, the same year as the video, some State Department officials were voicing concerns about Clinton’s own email and computer setup. A department report found that two Information Resource Management officials had discussed worries about the system and were told it was approved by the legal department staff.”

In contradiction: “The inspector general report said it “found no evidence that staff in the Office of the Legal Adviser reviewed or approved Secretary Clinton’s personal system.”

“Further, the same report detailed a January 2011 incident where an adviser who provided tech support for the Clinton email system notified a Hillary Clinton aide that “he had to shut down the server because he believed ‘someone was trying to hack us and while they did not get in i didnt [sic] want to let them have the chance to.’”

In response, a typical evasion came from Clinton spokesman Brian Fallon who said: “This is not new. It has been widely reported that during Clinton's tenure the State Department issued these kinds of warnings about possible cybersecurity to employees. These warnings were more than appropriate given that it was subsequently confirmed that State's email was hacked."

Yet, nowhere does Fallon address his boss’s total disregard for the very same concerns she displayed for others. Further compounded when, despite first-hand knowledge that her own department had been hacked, she continued to utilize her own equipment for job-related email activity.

All of which questions her fitness for the office she now seeks, which brings up the ongoing question again: Bernie Sanders, Joe Biden, Jerry Brown, and Starbucks chairman and CEO, Howard Schultz, are you guys are reading this?

That's it for today folks.

Adios
