While the POTUS focuses in Paris on his number one priority, non-existent global-warming,  FoxNews.com reported on another issue that most Americans feel is far more critical.

According to Fox: “America’s top-ranking military officer found himself at odds Tuesday with the nation’s commander-in-chief over his claim that the Islamic State was “contained” – an assertion President Obama had made before the Paris terror attacks.

Gen. Joseph Dunford, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, gave a dim assessment when asked during a House Armed Services Committee hearing whether that's the case.

“We have not contained ISIL currently,” Dunford told Rep. Randy Forbes, R-Va.

This completely refutes what the POTUS claimed in an ABC News interview on November 12th. When asked then about the status of the anti-ISIS campaign he said: “I don't think they're gaining strength. What is true is that from the start our goal has been first to contain, and we have contained them. They have not gained ground in Iraq. And in Syria, they'll come in, they'll leave, but you don't see this systematic march by ISIL across the terrain.”

The remarks were made a day before the Nov. 13 Paris terror attacks, carried out by ISIS militants. In an effort to save face, after receiving bipartisan criticism, White House Deputy Press Secretary Ben Rhodes “said Obama was referring specifically to the group’s geographic expansion in Iraq and Syria.”

“They had been on the march in both Iraq and Syria for some time but starting a year ago, we were able to halt that expansion,” Rhodes said in an interview.

However, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, one who is certainly far more aware of the truth of the situation, has now exposed the purely political propaganda from the administration as patently false, as usual.

At the same time, FoxNews.com also reports that: “The U.S. is sending more special operations forces to help Iraqi and Kurdish forces battling ISIS, as well as capture or kill senior leaders of the terror network in Iraq and Syria.

Approximately 200 troops would be sent to Iraq within the next few weeks part of a "specialized expeditionary targeting force" announced by Defense Secretary Ash Carter in testimony before the House Armed Services Committee Tuesday.

On the same subject, James George Stavridis, retired 16th Supreme Allied Commander of NATO Europe and former head of the United States Southern Command, appeared on Fox News this morning with Maria Bartiromo.

In the admiral’s view it will take somewhere around 15-20,000 U.S. troops in the region to eradicate ISIS, while the Navy is presently in need of 30 or more ships to return to its former status militarily.

And, while he didn’t say it directly, he blamed the current administration for buckling to what he phrased as war weariness. Further explaining that, although people are certainly happier withdrawing from battles, unfortunately enemies continue their efforts. Which means that withdrawal from the Middle-East in the way it was done was a huge mistake in his highly knowledgeable opinion.

On another topic, a business report yesterday discussed the reasons that the significant drop in the price of oil hasn’t stimulated the economy, via consumer spending on other things. And the reason is, that increases in health care costs are taking far more money out of consumer’s pockets, more than offsetting the savings from gas fill-ups.

Which only goes to further prove that for the general public, Democrats will do whatever they can to insure that as much spending as possible is controlled by the government to support its political interests and goals.

Which brings us to today’s update on Bill Clinton’s wife.

Senator Bob Corker, R-Tenn., who chairs the Foreign Relations Committee, and Sen. Richard Burr, R-N.C., who heads the powerful  Intelligence Committee, have written directly to Secretary of State, John Kerry, and Director of National Intelligence, James Clapper, “about possible leaks from their departments on the review of Hillary Clinton’s emails that left the wrong impression that two “Top Secret” messages were not that sensitive.”

FoxNews.com reports that: “The senators are now asking the State Department and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence for information in 9 categories including the unredacted copies of the Top Secret emails, an explanation of how the review is conducted, as well as any instructions provided to the State Department and FBI about the status of the Top Secret emails and how they should be handled.

“Andrea G. Williams, spokeswoman for the intelligence community inspector general, said there had been no change in the Top Secret emails status. Both were classified Top Secret at the time they were sent and received on Mrs. Clinton's server.”

Thus, aside from all else, the process slowly but surely continues in the background. Each email batch release showing that not only was the law being broken, but specific information was gathered by the then Secretary of State to further her own, personal, objectives.

Therefore, if the FBI director is to be taken at his word that the law of the land will be upheld, serious problems lie ahead for not only Bill's wife, but for Democrats in general in the coming presidential election.

Additionally, Amie Parnes posted an article @thehill.com today, explaining Bill Clinton’s wife’s likability problems, and that despite her continual attempts to improve in that area, nothing seems to help very much. While the piece discloses nothing new, and is actually quite boring, a reader’s comments are well-worth posting, as follows.

Reader Andrew Scriveley wrote: “Hillary is the first Presidential candidate in history to be under active FBI investigation for espionage. What's not to like?”

Which brings up the daily question: Joe Biden, Mayor Bloomberg, Jerry Brown, and Starbuck’s chairman and CEO, Howard Schultz, are you guys reading this?

And, in closing for today, a friend posted the following on FB this morning.

“Well I think the American women need to show their solidarity in the war on terrorism.

Craig Boehme's photo.Craig Boehme's photo.

“As you may already know, it is a sin for a Muslim male to see any woman other than his wife naked and if he does, he must commit suicide.

“So on 25th January Australia day, at 10:00 A.M. Eastern Time, all Australian women are asked to walk out of their house completely naked to help weed out any neighborhood terrorists.

“Circling your block for one hour is recommended for this anti-terrorist effort. All patriotic men are to position themselves in lawn chairs in front of their houses to demonstrate their support for the women and to prove that they are not Muslim terrorist sympathizers.

“Since Islam also does not approve of alcohol, a cold 6-pack at your side is further proof of your patriotism.

“The Australian government appreciates your efforts to root out terrorists and applauds your participation in this anti-terrorist activity.

“P.S.
If you don't share this, you're a terrorist-sympathizer”

That’s it for today folks.

Adios
