According to theguardian.com, at the global-warming conference in Paris: “A
historic, legally binding climate deal that aims to hold global temperatures to
a maximum rise of 1.5C above pre-industrial levels, staving off the worst
effects of catastrophic global warming, has been secured.
“The culmination of more than 20 years of fraught UN climate talks has seen
all countries agree to reduce emissions, promise to raise $100bn a year by 2020
to help poor countries adapt their economies, and accept a new goal of zero net
emissions by later this century.”
Almost 200 countries signed the “historic" pledge to hold global temperatures
to a maximum rise of 1.5C above pre-industrial levels, including British prime
minister, David Cameron, French president, François Hollande and, most certainly
the POTUS.
The article then explains that the only previous UN climate agreement, the
Kyoto protocol, required a number of rich countries to cut emissions marginally
and was rejected by the US, however, the Paris deal applies to all nations.
And then further on, almost buried in the text, is the revelation, saying:
“And while there will be no legal obligation for countries to cut
emissions, the agreement includes a five-yearly global stock-take and a review
mechanism to assess each country’s contributions.”
Consequently, this enormous waste of time and taxpayer’s money is as
worthless as the paper it's written on and the politicians who contrived it.
On another issue, Angelina Salcedo and Robert Way @bostonglobe.com, write
that “Kentucky Senator Rand Paul is confident he will be on the primetime
Republican debate stage Tuesday, but if he falls short, he will make an
announcement this week about what comes next.”
In this case, it’s expected that he’ll announce Wednesday he’s suspending or ending his
presidential campaign. Leading to the question, that if he truly does drop out
of the race, who will notice?
In an article by Larry Kudlow @nationalreview.com, he begins by stating: “I know this is not my usual position. But this is a war.
Therefore I have come to believe there should be no immigration or visa waivers
until the U.S. adopts a completely new system to stop radical Islamic terrorists
from entering the country.
"A wartime lockdown. And a big change in my thinking. ISIS and related Islamic
terrorists are already here. More are coming. We must stop them. Until FBI
director James Comey gives us the green light, I say seal the borders.”
Although a conservative later in life, including serving in the Regan administration, Kudlow's
politics are primarily based on the economy, while tending toward liberalism
socially.
Which means that his recent shift to a hard line on immigration is another
indication that, regardless of which Republican candidate survives the 2016
presidential campaign, the odds of wining the presidency keep increasing
significantly.
Which brings us to today’s update on Bill Clinton’s wife.
According to FoxNews.com: A “State Department official told Fox News
on Friday, “The State Department cannot find emails sent by former Secretary of
State Hillary Clinton’s IT staffer Bryan Pagliano who helped setup Clinton’s
private email server.
“The Washington Post reported in September that Pagliano had been subpoenaed
by the Benghazi committee Aug. 11 and committee chairman Rep. Trey Gowdy,
R-S.C., had ordered that he appear for questioning on Sept. 10 had also demanded
that Pagliano provide documents related to all servers or computer systems
controlled or owned by Clinton between 2009 and 2013.”
In response at that time, it was reported that: “Pagliano plans to invoke the
Fifth Amendment to avoid testifying against Clinton, Fox News confirmed in
September. Pagliano was asked to testify about the serve by the House Select
Committee on Benghazi, the Senate Judiciary Committee and the Senate Homeland
Security Committee.”
As the story continues to unfold, it’s still unclear as to whether the
committee can force Pagliano’s compliance. However, regardless of that outcome,
reader's comments following the article indicate clearly that the voting public
has grown almost completely distrustful of Bill’s wife, and is very aware of the
troublesome issues surrounding her.
Reader, NoBS46 wrote: “Well surprise, surprise. Amazing how this
information just disappears with all the redundant and backup systems the
government  has.  Just amazing.”
JWD2344 added: “Is anyone surprised? Bet Iran, China or Russia has
the e-mail and could supply a complete copy file. Unless one believes that
private homegrown server of Hillary's wasn't hackable.”
And then, HollyToo opined: “Millions of people believe telling the
truth will set them free. Hillary believes telling the truth will get her 20 to
life.”
Which again brings up the ongoing question: Joe Biden, Mayor Bloomberg, Jerry
Brown, and Starbuck’s chairman and CEO, Howard Schultz, are you guys reading
this?
That’s it for today folks.
Adios
