During the past few days, and especially right after Tuesday’s debate, I’ve
mentioned this sense of Rush’s distancing himself from Trump and moving toward
Cruz.
Then this morning on Facebook, Rush posted: “I thought Ted Cruz was
outstanding [Tuesday] night. Ted Cruz speaks like a traditional powerful,
well-versed proud -- unabashedly proud -- conservative. He is an articulate
representative of conservatism and the conservative movement, and he is a happy
warrior. He loves doing what he's doing. He loves mixing it up. He loves getting
in there.”
So, I guess it looks like it’s over for Trump, as far as Rush is concerned.
But, Trump was never really a Republican, and certainly not a conservative, to begin
with.
Looks like Vladimir Putin has figured Trump out too, and wants him to be the
next U.S. president. Because, obviously, he knows it’s in his best interests to
have someone at the helm in the U.S. he can con, bamboozle or manipulate.
According to yahoo.com, Putin told journalists after his annual
press conference in Moscow: “[Trump] is a very outstanding man, unquestionably
talented."
"It's not up to us to judge his virtue, that is up to US voters, but he is
the absolute leader of the presidential race," Putin added.
“Putin said Russia is ready to work with the United States no matter who is
elected president next year. We are ready to work with any president chosen by
the American people."
However, as Putin has learned over the past seven years, having an
inexperienced American leader is a major benefit to his cause. That's how
Putin’s expanded interests wherever he’s chosen across the globe, particularly
in Iran, Crimea and Ukraine. While presently, defensive training efforts are
taking place in Poland, Lithuania, Georgia, Estonia and the Baltic Sea in fear
that any, or all, of them may be next.
Which means that Putin’s best chances of reaching his empire-building
goals is a totally unqualified American president, as Trump would be, to follow the
one who’s currently helping him to expand successfully for the very same reason: incapability. Thus, it’s certainly no wonder that he’d love to see Trump
elected.
And then, after all the name-calling, demands for his departure and total
dissatisfaction regarding former House Speaker, John Boehner, by conservatives,
as far as the new budget goes, nothing has changed very much, if at all, with Paul Ryan at the Republican helm in the House.
According to Jim Newell @slate.com: “The agreement Ryan
reached with fellow congressional negotiators also looks much like one Boehner
would have reached: Each side scores some points, but Republican congressional
majorities again will fail to deliver a high-profile, base-pumping, ideological
victory over some nefarious aspect of the “Obama agenda” on which conservatives
had drawn a red line. Will this land Ryan in the same hot water that eventually
cooked Boehner? He’ll get a pass, for now.”
Which means that, when all’s said and done, as far as Congress is concerned
it’s still business as usual.
Which brings us to today’s update on Bill Clinton’s wife.
As mentioned earlier in the week, When Bill’s wife was on her way to Omaha, I
expected Warren Buffet to begin to display his gratitude for
the administration’s protecting his oil transportation by rail from Canada.
Particularly the POTUS’s continual blocking of the Keystone XL pipeline for no
real reason at all. And since that unwavering presidential support gave Buffet the ability to
earn $multi-millions, Bill’s wife is now beginning to get the payback.
Gabriel Debenedetti @politico.com, reported yesterday: “Clinton’s
newest campaign surrogate doesn’t look a lot like the actors or sound a lot like
the governors she has casing Iowa. The 85-year-old isn’t as quick with a joke,
or as practiced in his “Hillary The Fighter” talking points. And the
bespectacled Nebraskan sure isn’t armed with as wide an array of war stories
about his years of traveling the mountains of New Hampshire.
“But that, hopes Team Clinton, is all part of Warren Buffett’s appeal as he
hits the campaign trail for the Democratic front-runner and talks about the
other billionaire on the trail — Donald Trump.
“Joining Clinton for his first public event of 2016 in his frigid hometown on
Wednesday afternoon, the headline-grabbing Buffett quickly warmed to his
unlikely, and slightly uncomfortable, role as attack dog. He likened the
previous night’s Republican debate to Vaudeville, and poked fun at the GOP
poll-leader’s insistence on reminding voters of how smart he is.
“Buffett, the grinning investor seemed to imply, is smarter than Trump. And
he didn’t need to remind the auditorium of 800 that he’s richer, too.”
Thus, for both of them, they really aren’t interested in campaign
banners, posters or flyers. The only signs either cares about, are dollar signs
with lot’s of zero’s after the numbers.
And then, Fox News’ Judge Andrew Napolitano put together a very clear and
informative progress report regarding the FBI investigation into Bill’s
wife’s email scandal. It’s very well worth reading. Here’s a link: http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2015/12/17/hillary-clinton-criminal-investigation-keeps-moving-forward.html
Which leads to the ongoing question: Joe Biden, Mayor Bloomberg, Jerry Brown,
and Starbuck’s chairman and CEO, Howard Schultz, are you guys reading this?
That’s it for today folks.
Adios
