Very slow news day, today. Allowing
time for a story from a couple of days ago on FoxNews.com, tilted: “Fox News:
‘Fair and balanced’ — and very tough on Republican front-runners”
A paragraph midway through the article said: “But during the primary season,
Fox’s conservative reputation is an asset. It’s actually liberating, in a way.
Fox News can charge hard at GOP candidates, and the scrutiny will make the
network appear less biased than many people think. A more liberal
competitor like MSNBC, however, risks looking more biased when it holds
Republican White House hopefuls' feet to the fire.”
In response, reader JonSEAZ, commented: “Screw Fox News, Bill
O’Riley, and the rest of the FOX crew! FOX and its talking heads are shilling
for the establishment GOP and their pet RINO candidates. A couple of years ago I
quit watching all television and my life is better for it. All the news
published or broadcast is available on the Internet for anyone interested in
finding it. One needn't sit captive in front of a screen oozing with mindless
advertising and drenched with agenda-driven drivel. Time wasting, mind numbing,
brain wasting, blather, lies, innuendo interspersed with nearly constant
corporate manipulation of our very souls with one intent and one intent only, to
make us slavish consumers, points of profit. There is much more to life than
willingly being manipulated.”
This well-worth posting is one of the best descriptions of
broadcast news recently published. While 100% accurate, it’s also why not
only broadcast media is shrinking in total, but print media’s almost evaporated
completely. The Internet is far more informative, contains significantly more
sources of news and provides virtually every point of view on the planet.
On another issue, Jeb’s campaign may be close to over, but he finally made a
statement that’s undeniably true.
"I've got to get this off my chest: Donald Trump is a jerk," Bush said,
unprompted, between answering two voters' questions. Then he slammed the
billionaire businessman for insulting women, Hispanics and people with
disabilities during the campaign.
"Who is he kidding?" Bush asked the crowd. "I gave myself therapy there.
Thank you for allowing me to do it," he admitted, half-jokingly.
Then on the other hand, a FB friend posted this today:
“Hillary's New Look, After Seeing Trump's New Polling Numbers!”
Which leads into today’s update on Bill Clinton’s wife.
Catching up on the news this morning, prompted the question that if a debate
is held and nobody watches or cares, is it still called a debate?
In the Democrat farce last night, Bill’s wife said of ISIS, “Mr. Trump has a
great capacity to use bluster and bigotry to inflame people. They are going to
people showing videos of Donald Trump insulting Islam and Muslims in order to
recruit more radical jihadists.”
According to FoxNews.com, “Trump, who normally responds to his
critics with lightning-fast speed on Twitter, has not yet fired back at Clinton
over her ISIS claim.”
And that ties right in to the rumbles regarding Trump’s previous relationship
with, and contributions made to, the Clinton’s in the past. And whether or not
he’s truly Republican in thinking at all, or playing some other kind of scheme
with the Democrats altogether. Certainly something to think about.
On one of the key debate issues, terrorism, Reuters posted the
following poll results. Showing that no Democrat at all is equipped to deal with
the problem in the eyes of the voting public.
On a separate aside, “Hillary Clinton went missing during the Democratic
debate, and it did not go unnoticed.
“After the first commercial break- almost an hour into the third Democratic
debate on Saturday night, ABC returned with two candidates at the podium, Sern.
Bernie Sanders and former Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley. The former secretary of
state was missing.
“Rather than waiting, moderator David Muir moved forward, asking Sanders a
question. Clinton came walking in, and said “sorry” into the microphone.
“The reason why Clinton was late hasn’t been disclosed, but her calm apology
was received with laughter and cheers by the audience.
“In the first Democratic debate in October, Clinton was also late to return
to the stage after a break, and said “You know, it does take me a little
longer,” a comment referencing that it can take women longer to use the
bathroom.”
It’s also been noted in the past, that she missed the Presidential briefing
on Benghazi because she overslept. Which leads to the question that there might
be some kind of serious, undisclosed personal issue involved that should be
researched. Because, whether it’s health related or simply a non-caring
attitude, the public should certainly be made aware.
Bring up the ongoing query: Joe Biden, Mayor Bloomberg, Jerry Brown, and
Starbuck’s chairman and CEO, Howard Schultz, are you guys reading this?
That’s it for today folks.
Adios
