BloggeRhythms 9/8/2012

Eventful morning for me today. The incumbent finally said something I agree with wholeheartedly and  completely. According to Judson Berger of FoxNews.com, he presented himself as “a 'tested' leader in his convention speech, saying ‘hope’ is still alive.”

As for myself, I truly believe that both parts of that comment are absolutely true and correct. Because the incumbent has certainly been tested, however, he failed completely. And as far as “hope” goes, there's certainly plenty of that around, except I think most voters are not only employing it towards Mitt Romney, they can’t wait to get out of the fiscal mess of the past three and a half years that the incumbent created himself.

Then the incumbent added “If you turn away now, if you buy into the cynicism that the change we fought for isn’t possible … well, change will not happen.” And then went on, “If you give up on the idea that your voice can make a difference, then other voices will fill the void. ... Only you can make sure that doesn’t happen.”

I must admit that I had to read that last paragraph over several times before I felt sure that I really understood it’s meaning. But, now I think I might. Because what the words say to me is that, for some reason. the incumbent believes that changing the nation for the worst is a good thing. And since that’s what he’s diligently tried to do since taking office, how can he possibly believe anything else?

And if nothing else the incumbent has said is the absolute truth, his last line certainly was. Because all this guy ever does is use his voice to fill any void he can find. He must love the sound of his own words more than lifelong junkies love to shoot up.

When he was a kid, although nobody seems to be able to verify that he ever was one, his parents must have given him a microphone, sent him out in the yard or up to attic, and told him to keep himself occupied by babbling 24/7/365. However, they obviously left out the part about trying to be truthful or coherent in his ramblings.

So, all in all, the Fox article seems to have hit the nail on the head as far as the incumbent’s self-interest’s concerned, however, the outcomes seem to be quite different when you actually analyze what he said. Because, while trying to win votes for reelection, he buried himself with a very accurate but poor choice of words that cause folks to go out and really look at his pitiful record.

That’s it for today folks.

Adios
