BloggeRhythms 9/2/2012

Yesterday, I noted that I thought a significant percentage of Democrats had problems accepting Republican tenets and beliefs because they were simply unable to grasp their value or intent. And after giving the matter some more consideration, I’m now even more convinced that the premise is correct.

As a place to start, in my experience Republican voters tend to be considerably more financially successful than average Dem party members, and are far more likely to either own or manage enterprises than the rank and file. They also tend to strive for personal achievement which leads to anti-union status –or any other forms of group protective association- preferring to compete on their own.

Consequently, whereas Republican goals and ideals are far more difficult to attain, far fewer people are willing to take the risks, attempt to succeed, or buck the tide, choosing instead to simply go along for the ride on somebody else’s dime.

As a result, Democrat leaders -being fully aware of their constituencies tendencies to take the easiest route- promote, endorse and promulgate transference of wealth from those who’ve attained it to those who can’t, or more likely, won’t even make the effort to try.

Over time, Democrat leaders have also made concerted efforts to broaden their party’s base by promoting it as the bastion of tolerance, open-mindedness, and the haven for all those of every persuasion imaginable because of their acceptance of everyone’s plight. And, logic dictates that one must accept their premises as valid because their party receives such constant mass media confirmation and support.

But then, every once in a while, something comes up which puts a slight dent in Democrat armor. Such as yesterday where polls showed that among Republicans and Independents, roughly 90% of each group had no problem with Mitt Romney’s Mormonism, but 26% of Democrats did.  And so, perhaps, a quarter of the touchy-feely, open-minded liberals didn’t get the memo on tolerance.

And speaking of whose ideals, aspirations, objectives and goals prove to produce the best results in the end, I wonder what Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and Reverend's Farrakhan and Wright think of Ms. Condoleezza Rice. Because she’s playing on the same level playing field that this group of anti-everything decent claims doesn’t even exist, yet rose to the top by any kind of measure there is.

So, when you take a step back to eliminate the noise, smoke, mirrors and hype and actually analyze the facts, you begin to realize that positive results take truths and hard work. And while Democrats whine, complain and distort facts to support their claims, Republicans support them all because they’re the one’s who actually go out, work, and pay just about all of the taxes.

That’s it for today folks.

Adios
