Yesterday Elizabeth Warren said:
“Donald Trump is a loud, nasty, thin-skinned fraud who has never risked
anything for anyone and serves nobody but himself."
It isn’t the first time she’s gone after him, pointedly questioning his business acumen, tactics and success.
The
reason her commentary’s noteworthy is that she’s an unequivocal fraud
herself. Formerly involved in a particularly unsavory aspect of real
estate wheeling and dealing: property-flipping. Making her a monumental
hypocrite to boot.
Back on May 27, 2015, Jillian Kay Melchior and Eliana Johnson @nationalreview.com,
wrote: “Elizabeth Warren, today is a Massachusetts senator who has built a
political career on denouncing the sort of banking titans and financial
sophisticates who make a buck off the little guy. [However,] five months after
purchasing Veo Vessels’ old home, Warren flipped the property, selling
it for $115,000 more than she’d paid, according to Oklahoma County
Property Assessor records."
Rising
to political prominence in the wake of the 2008 financial crisis, she
crusaded against big banks. Dispensing “common-sense economic advice,
she campaigned for the creation of the Consumer Financial Protection
Bureau, intended to shield people from the predations of the mortgage
and credit-card industries, among others. In her 2006 book All Your
Worth, co-authored with her daughter, Amelia, Warren lists as a top myth
the idea that “you can make big money buying houses and flipping them
quickly.” She has made a career out of telling people how to behave in
financially responsible ways, and out of creating laws that will make it
illegal for them to do otherwise.”
But,
here’s the rub: “Warren bought and sold at least five properties
for profit at a different time in her life, before the cratering economy
and a political career made her a star. Her life story has been the
subject of much interest, and her 2014 memoir, A Fighting Chance,
chronicled her rise from humble beginnings in small-town Oklahoma and
her struggle to make ends meet. It didn’t much mention, though, the
early 1990s, years when her children were teenagers and she was once
again happily married. These are years when she wasn’t yet the
multimillionaire she is today, and, she has said, she was voting
Republican.”
From
there, several examples are provided, detailing the transactions and
their makeup, such as the following: “In June 1993, Warren bought
another foreclosed property in Oklahoma City, this one on West Wilshire
Boulevard, for $61,000 from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development. Because properties purchased from HUD are sold as is, and
because foreclosed homes can have damage ranging from simple poor upkeep
to stripped copper, “the only reason you do that is for profit,” says
Steve Stout, residential field supervisor at the Oklahoma County
Assessor’s Office.”
Other “flips” of hers make interesting reading, so here’s a link to the article: http://www.nationalreview.com/article/418907/elizabeth-warren-real-estate-profiteer-jillian-kay-melchior-eliana-johnson
On
another ongoing matter, illegal immigration, pieces of the puzzle are
now coming together to reveal why Democrats are so fixated on bringing
as many as possible illegal’s into the nation as possible.
And naturally, the story begins in the liberal haven of San Francisco.
Joe Schoffstall @freebeacon.com
writes today: “The San Francisco Board of Supervisors is hoping that
residents of the city who fear Donald Trump’s rhetoric and policy
proposals will flock to the polls this November and support giving
voting rights to illegal immigrants.
“Eric
Mar, a supervisor in the city, put forth a proposed charter amendment
on Tuesday that would allow illegal immigrants who have kids that are 18
years or younger in the public school system the right to vote in local
school board elections, Fox News reports.”
While
the present foil blamed for the need to “protect” illegals is Trump,
had he not arrived on the national scene it’s certain some other excuse
would surely have been offered.
Supervisor
Mar put it this way: “With Donald Trump’s racist and anti-immigrant
sentiments, there is a reaction from many of us who are disgusted by
those politics. I think that’s going to ensure there is strong Latino
turnout as well as other immigrant turnout.”
Thus,
the encroachment into voting rights for illegals begins in a relatively
benign way, school board elections. And then, step by step, like water
dripping on a rock, the premise will be extended until illegal entrants
attain acceptance across the board, voting-wise. Which has been the
Democrat goal all along -to grow their numbers.
On the other side of the coin, in May, Matt Drudge received more than a billion page views at 1,187,604,000, while the Fox Entertainment Group recorded 769,983,000. By comparison, The New York Times Company stood at 512,058,000.
Thus,
if web readership is a valid indication of likely voters preferences,
which it almost certainly is, the left is facing seriously shrinking
audiences nationwide.
The information was obtained from “U.S. Media Publishers and Publications – Ranked for May 2016”, posted by Joseph Schwartz at Market Trends on June 9.
Next, a Facebook friend posted this today:
Bringing us to today’s update on Bill Clinton’s wife.
This
one’s another complex example of why the FBI investigation into Bill’s
wife’s email abuses is requiring so much time to complete.
In today’s case, according to Matthew Mosk, Brian Ross and Cho Park @abcnews.go.com,
via Drudge: “Newly released State Department emails help reveal how a
major Clinton Foundation donor was placed on a sensitive government
intelligence advisory board even though he had no obvious experience in
the field, a decision that appeared to baffle the department’s
professional staff.
“The
emails further reveal how, after inquiries from ABC News, the Clinton
staff sought to “protect the name” of the Secretary, “stall” the ABC
News reporter and ultimately accept the resignation of the donor just
two days later.
“Copies
of dozens of internal emails were provided to ABC News by the
conservative political group Citizens United, which obtained them under
the Freedom of Information Act after more the two years of litigation
with the government.
Considerable
research was done to produce the article, much of it involving several
individuals on Bill’s wife’s staff. Therefore, a link’s included to the
well-written piece: http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/clinton-donor-sensitive-intelligence-board/story?id=39710624
And
although it’s getting quite late in the game, the continuing question
still needs asking once more: Jerry Brown, and Starbuck’s chairman and
CEO, Howard Schultz, are you guys reading this?
That’s it for today folks.
Adios
