Another interesting day where
underlying story’s indicate significant problems ahead for the Democrat
party in general, and their presidential candidate specifically.
Deb Reichmann of the Associated Press @mcclatchydc.com, via Drudge,
writes that: “CIA Director John Brennan will tell Congress [today] that
Islamic State militants are training and attempting to deploy
operatives for further attacks on the West and will rely more on
guerrilla-style tactics to compensate for their territorial losses.
“In
remarks prepared for the Senate Intelligence Committee, Brennan says IS
has been working to build an apparatus to direct and inspire attacks
against its foreign enemies, as in the recent attacks in Paris and
Brussels — ones the CIA believes were directed by IS leaders.”
"ISIL
has a large cadre of Western fighters who could potentially serve as
operatives for attacks in the West," Brennan said, using another acronym
for the group. He said ISIL probably is working to smuggle them into
countries, perhaps among refugee flows or through legitimate means of
travel.”
Yet,
even though his own CIA Director points out clearly the dangers of open
borders, the POTUS still insists on finding ways to bring still more
illegal immigrants into the nation every day.
Which may be why the next item has so much significance.
Because,
while the content is interesting, it’s even more so because of the
individual involved. Dan Rather, faithful supporter of the left.
Rather, former "CBS Evening News" anchor, said Wednesday that
Republican Donald Trump can win the presidency, and Democratic
supporters of Hillary Clinton should be "very, very afraid."
"I'm
not predicting [Trump] will win, but I will say he's capable of winning
in November. He has a path," Rather told CNBC's "Squawk Box," adding he
does not expect the real estate billionaire to bow to pressure to be
more "presidential."
"Anybody
who thinks Donald Trump is going to moderate himself along the way is
either slightly 'touched' or 'smoking something very expensive.' It's
not going to happen," said Rather, currently host of "The Big Interview"
on AXS TV.
"My
own opinion again," Rather said, "Democrats who want Hillary Clinton to
be president should be afraid. They should be very, very afraid."
Giving
Rather’s opinion even more credibility, Bernie Sanders
certainly seems to agree with him, whereas as reported by Jonathan Easley @thehill.com/blogs:
“Bernie Sanders is staying in the Democratic presidential race after
meeting with rival Hillary Clinton, the party’s presumptive nominee, for
nearly two hours at a Washington, D.C., hotel on Tuesday night.
After
meeting with Bill Clinton’s wife at the Capital Hilton, “Sanders has
given no indication that he intends to drop out before the convention.
“He
will address supporters via video live-stream on Thursday, but
spokesman Michael Briggs said earlier on Tuesday that Sanders will not
drop out "today, or tomorrow, or the next day.”
“He has said that he plans to stay in this through the Democratic convention,” Briggs said, according to Bloomberg News.
“That’s the signal Sanders has given to his closest supporters as well.”
And
perhaps, Sanders reason for not conceding and dropping out is because
of information found in article’s such as one Eric Owens wrote today
about Bill Clinton’s wife @dailycaller.com, which is today’s update regarding her.
Mr.
Owens writes: “Earlier this week, Hillary Clinton harshly criticized
three countries for directly funding terrorists who are actively seeking
to attack the United States and Western Europe. The governments of this
trio of nations have contributed between $16 million and $40 million to
the Clinton Foundation.
“Clinton sharply denounced the three countries — Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar — in a speech in Cleveland on Monday.”
Yet,
in typical Clinton fashion, despite her berating them in speeches: “The Kingdom of
Saudi Arabia has given the Clinton Foundation an unspecified amount
between $10 million and $25 million, according to the nonprofit’s
records.
“The State of Kuwait has donated between $5 million and $10 to the Clinton Foundation.
“The State Of Qatar has given the Clinton Foundation between $1 million and $5 million.”
At
the same time, the Foundation itself explains: “The Clinton
Foundation’s impact would not be possible without the generous support
of our donors and grantors. Their generosity makes our work possible and
we thank them.”
Following the article, a reader, cincinnatius,
applied an old story which is well worth repeating due to its accuracy:
“Clinton personifies the story about Winston Churchill when he asks the
lady: "Madam, would you sleep with me for a million dollars?" Lady:
"Yes." Churchill: Would you sleep with me for 1 dollar." Lady:
"Absolutely not! What do you think I am?" Churchill: Madam, we have
already established what you are, we're now merely negotiating the
price." Clinton established long ago what she is and everyone knows her
price! Why the idiots in this country can't/won't see that she will sell
out their country, future, children for a price is beyond me.”
Thus,
what remains to be seen with five more months to go in the presidential
campaign, is precisely what Trump will do with this kind of ammunition
to aim at Bill’s wife. Along with the still brewing two investigations
the FBI’s conducting. And, as important, if not more so, just how much
risk will the POTUS continue to take by putting this corrupt family in
charge of his “legacy”?
Bringing
up the ongoing question again: Joe Biden, Jerry Brown, and Starbucks
chairman and CEO, Howard Schultz, are you guys reading this?
That’s it for today folks.
Adios
