BloggeRhythms

Congressional representatives are perhaps the least productive individuals on earth, doing nothing but continually emitting hot air. So much so, that it’s doubtful many pay any attention to their babbling at all. Nonetheless, every once in a while, one of them says something interesting to consider.

In that regard, Fox News reported today that, “President Obama and his top Democrats on Capitol Hill appear to have reset their sights on the Republican-controlled House passing comprehensive immigration reform, instead of a step-by-step process.”

The interesting commentary came from Harry Reid, who told the Hill newspaper that, “I think that John Boehner will conference with the Senate. I was very impressed with his saying, as far as I’m concerned, what was long overdue. The government shutdown, it was being driven by these people he criticized.”

From his statement, it seems Reid’s trying to accomplish two goals with one soundbite. The first is to help cajole Speaker Boehner into a meeting most Republicans, and likely the Speaker himself, don’t want to take place. And more importantly, to highlight the government shutdown again as something quite negative.

However, it’s far more likely that as the health care tax continues to unravel while dislike for it accelerates, the government shutdown will be perceived by voters as a significant indication of Republican competence in leadership.

Consequently, what Reid’s done once again is to prove that while Democrats may be the most talkative politicians that ever existed, when it comes to actual job capability, they’re as worthless as all the hot air they continually spew.

That’s it for today folks.

Adios
