BloggeRhythms

Something I neglected to mention was an interview with former Vice President, Dick Cheney, on Fox & Friends a couple of days ago.

In researching the subject, I found the following from www.upi.com, which says pretty much the same thing, as follows:

In a speech at the National Press Club in Washington Tuesday, Mr. Cheney said “the tax on medical devices also demonstrates how "ill-conceived" parts of the Affordable Care Act really are. I think that's one of the dumbest ideas I've heard. I feel very strongly about it. I'm literally walking around proof of how great and how innovative our healthcare system has been. ...

But I just think it's an example of how ill-conceived parts of this program are."

The article notes that, “Cheney has had five heart attacks and has had several procedures to treat heart disease, including a heart transplant in 2012.”

So, here again is additional proof that in this attempt at socializing health care, issue by issue and item by item, the health care tax is rapidly disintegrating the entire system from all ends. Which means continually good news for Republicans who’ll benefit significantly next November at the polls.

Additionally, those same Republicans can further gain by doing nothing at all, and standing by while colossal mistakes are made daily amongst their competition.

Today, Fox News on-line  reported that, “Among the enduring images from Nelson Mandela's massive memorial service in Johannesburg Tuesday will be one of a jovial President Obama taking a cell phone pic with his seat-mates, Denmark's Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt and Britain's David Cameron.

As the three of them smile for the camera, a stern-looking Michelle Obama can be seen staring straight ahead, hands clasped. As if to remind anyone who sees this photo years from now that it was, after all, a memorial service for one of the great human rights leaders.”

So, while his administration implodes, the incumbent acts as if he hasn’t a care in the world. Which is probably pretty accurate. Because if he really did care, he might pay some attention to the incredible damage he’s done to the nation and try to fix it.

But instead he, somehow or other, finds new ways to keep making it worse.

Chris Stirewalt of Fox News online reports that, “Part of the portfolio for new White House adviser John Podesta is trying to achieve one of President Obama’s longest-sought goals: getting the U.S. enrolled in a U.N. treaty on global warming.”

Now, here’s where it gets somewhat complex, because “Facing bipartisan pressure to allow the construction of a pipeline to bring oil from western Canada to Gulf Coast refineries, the Keystone XL, the administration promises that Podesta will not offer any advice about the project, much despised by global warming believers, including the folks at Podesta’s Center for American Progress.”

And the reason this guy Podesta is staying away from the issue is that the Center for American Progress, the“lobbying firm Podesta founded with his brother, Tony, also represents clients who stand to benefit from global-warming regulations and a decision to block the pipeline. White House aides tell Politico that Podesta will recuse himself from any consideration of the Keystone project.”

Now, this situation has got to be one of the most humungous cases of cronyism, nepotism, favoritism and insider abuse ever seen in government. Because there's simply no way on earth that Podesta will stay uninvolved.

However, I might change my mind if Podesta solemnly swears not to become involved. Because if nothing else this administration, from the top on down, absolutely always tells the truth.

That’s it for today folks.

Adios
