BloggeRhythms

With Christmas right around the corner, Republicans received another huge gift from the incumbent yesterday.

In a struggling attempt toward salvaging his disastrous health care tax, the incumbent arranged a meeting that could have helped his program considerably. A group of executives running the nation’s most successful high-tech businesses were invited to the White House, supposedly to provide input, expertise and advice on how to fix the dally glitches plaguing the system.

Instead, what those invitees got was a sales-pitch and self-serving arm-twist seeking their support, but not technical help.

Lauren Ashburn’s Twitter Talk on Fox on-line posted this item; “But, according to the Daily Mail, one exec whose CEO attended the meeting says, “We really didn't care for a PR pitch about how the administration is trying to salvage its internal health care tech nightmare.”

So, once again, the incumbent’s proven that in his perspective the presidency’s all about speeches, promises and any sort of fabrication that’s momentarily fitting. But real expertise, capabilities or management talents aren’t really necessary at all, because he believes doubletalk can solve anything, no matter.

At the same time, another vivid example appeared yesterday showing how much he cares about the nation’s $17 trillion debt and woeful economy.

According to the Hawaii Reporter on-line, reporter Malia Zimmerman of Kailua, Hawaii writes about the incumbent’s upcoming 17 day vacation this way: “The President and his friends pay for the private home accommodations that rent for $25,000 per week, however taxpayers – both federal and county - pick up the majority of the bill for the rest of the trip.

Michael Tasselmyer of the National Taxpayers Union Foundation, estimates the 18-hour roundtrip aboard Air Force One, which he said costs $179,750 per hour for flight and operation, will total $3,235,500 for the roundtrip.

There are reports the President might also stop on the island of Maui, a 30-minute flight from Oahu, which would add additional expense.”

All told, the trip will cost about $4 million to taxpayers, which a reader responded to this way in all caps: "WE HAVE 91 MILLION AMERICANS OUT OF WORK

MORE AMERICANS ON FOOD STAMPS THAN AT ANY TIME IN USA HISTORY

17 TRILLION DOLLARS OF DEBT & 100 TRILLION DOLLARS OF UNFUNDED LIABILITIES

I GUESS IT WOULD BE TOO MUCH TO ASK FOR THE OBAMA FAMILY TO BE FRUGAL & STAY AT HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS, LIKE THE MAJORITY OF AMERICANS.

And another: "Typical Liberal politician...Party like rock stars. They're not spending their money, now are they!"

So, as noted at the start today,  while according to Wikipedia,  “The gift that keeps on giving” was a catchphrase, first known as a marketing slogan for the phonograph since 1924, the Republican’s have received one now. And all they have to do to keep it for years to come, is sit back, keep quiet and watch as their opposition’s leader continues to destroy  his party along with himself.

That’s it for today folks.

Adios
