BloggeRhythms

Only four days remain until the major shift in the nation’s political philosophy officially takes hold upon PEOTUS-elect Trump’s inauguration. As that day nears, many on the left once again reconfirm their refusal to recognize how times have changed around them. Preferring instead to dwell on the past while employing fear and fabrication in desperate attempts to retain their shrinking flocks.

And that reaction may very well prove to be a horrendous political mistake for themselves, their party and those they represent.

Today, Natalie Andrews and Harriet Torry @wsj.com, report that more Democratic lawmakers now plan to skip Trump’s inauguration ceremony Friday.

Joining Rep. John Lewis (D., Ga.) who says Trump isn’t a “legitimate president,” are at least 20 Democrat  members of the House. “Some are citing the president-elect’s past lewd comments about women and remarks about illegal immigrants; others, such as Mr. Lewis, cite accusations of Russian-backed hacking of political committees during the 2016 election.

As far as the issues cited are concerned, a record number of voters across the nation are either unbothered by Trump’s rhetoric, don’t believe it matters or simply agree with him, as evidenced by his election win. What’s more, while losing almost none in his own party he gained Democrat crossover votes along with his attraction to Political independents.

Statistically, in Gallup's most recent analysis, “42 percent of Americans now identify as independent, compared with 29 percent who say they are Democrats and 26 percent who say they are Republicans.”

Therefore, by dramatically focusing on issues that apparently are viewed quite differently by roughly three-quarters of American voters, obstinate Democrats have purposefully placed themselves in a shrinking electoral minority.

Which means that in addition to not making their point very well with voters, they’ve also cut themselves off from any and all opportunities for any kind of future favorable relationship with the new President of the United States of America. Making it hard to believe that anyone in any endeavor could possibly be more intellectually dense than that.

On a similar matter, FoxNews.com reports that Kentucky Senator Rand Paul suggested on Sunday that the health care tax replacement plan will include more low-cost insurance plans.

On CNN’s “State of the Union," Paul said: “One of the key reforms that we will do is, we're going to legalize the sale of inexpensive insurance. That means getting rid of the ObamaCare mandates on what you can buy.”

While the “plan also will include health saving accounts and tax credits to help customers save money," he also suggested the plan will allow people and small businesses to create their own markets.

"There's no reason why (a business owner) with four employees shouldn't be able to join with hundreds and hundreds of other businesses that are small to become a large entity to get leverage to bring your prices down," he said.

He then acknowledged that rolling back Medicaid expansion as part of the ObamaCare repeal remains a “big question,” whereas many Americans got coverage under Medicare expansion in states.

So, what comes through in this case, is the significantly different philosophical and governing approach taken by the nation’s two leading party’s. Reader, JB2535, commented: “At least we are getting a chance to hear about and read about the health care law.  Obamacare was forced on America in the middle of the night by the Democrats who don't care about anyone except themselves.  And Congress and staff was excluded from Obamacare, since they got a chance to read it before they passed it.”

While other readers attempted to present evidence that there was sufficient discussion and debate before the health care tax was enacted, reader DocDre was far closer to the truth in commenting: “Maybe the Dumbocrats should've read the ACA mandate before passing it into law.  In the words of Nancy Pelosi "we must pass it into law so we know what's in the bill".

And that brings us right back to the theme for today, whereas with constant media and electronic coverage virtually everything said and done is recorded and preserved for eternity. Meaning that there is no longer a way for politicians to escape blame by claiming they were misquoted, taken out of context or deny personal involvement in the future.

Which will eventually come back to haunt those Democrats snubbing the inauguration. Because their actions not only serve no real purpose, they more than likely eliminate the ability to receive anything needed from the administration for at least the next four years. Confirming their absence of mental acuity.

That’s it for today folks.

Adios
