BloggeRhythms

With the new year just begun, Congressional Democrats have already shown that for them it will be business as usual going forward. And that despite the shellacking they’ve taken at every level of government, they’ve not only learned absolutely nothing, they still refuse to even try to help themselves or their remaining constituents.

Proving the point, the POTUS plans to visit Capitol Hill on Wednesday, to finally seek some help in saving his signature health care tax before departing.

As reported by Joseph Weber @foxnews.com, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said: “Step one is the ObamaCare replacement legislation at the start of the year.”

Senate Minority Leader, Chuck Schumer, responded: “Bring it on." And he’s not alone because, according to Mr. Weber: “Fellow Democrats have given essentially every indication that they also intend to fight GOP efforts to change government-subsidized health care programs and to rally support among Americans for their efforts.”

The Obamacare standoff’s of interest because, aside from the importance of the issue itself, it clearly defines philosophical and tactical differences between the nation’s major political party’s.

Democrat politicians, and leftists in particular, generally take the position that they know what’s best for those they represent, without equivocation. There’s never room for others thoughts, ideas or adjustment. It’s always a full speed ahead and take no prisoners approach to governance.

Republicans, however, most often take a more businesslike approach to legislation. Reasonableness and probability of success play a significant role in decision-making. Both of which contributed greatly to Republic electoral wins across the nation in governorships, Congressional seats and certainly, the White House.

In the presidential campaign itself, meetings were held throughout middle-America. Voters were asked what they needed, wanted and hoped for. From there, solutions were created, presented and discussed with those directly affected, to gauge acceptability.

As a result, while a huge majority of Republicans voted for those on their ticket, the party expanded to add enough independents to insure the White House win. Primarily because what they heard from candidates made sense to those desiring employment,
opportunity, far less restrictive legislation and reduction of government in their daily lives.

And then, from what’s been seen to date, before the president-elect even takes office many businesses have come forward, announcing immediate plans for expansion in the U.S., creating opportunity, jobs and economic growth.

In contrast, Democrats have continually avoided addressing anything regarding business or subjects related to it. Yet, the nation is financially supported by taxpayers whether leftists hate them or not. What’s more, as the economy grows under Republicans, their favorability will increase as well. Then, add to that the continually increasing costs from the health care tax and the Republican desire to rework its structure and decrease costs, which will also greatly  appeal to voters.

And lastly, U.S. population is currently 318.9 million while Obamacare enrollment is 22 million. Meaning that less than 7% of citizens are negatively affecting almost all the rest. Yet, Democrat leadership still says, negotiation's unacceptable, they're right and the other 297 million are not only wrong, but will have to keep paying for the mistakes in the program.

However, there’s now a major flaw in their thinking. Because whether Democrat leadership will admit it or not, voters have already shown them what they prefer. Which is why the Democrat party keeps shrinking.

And the way things seem to be starting off for the incoming Congressional Democrats, if they continue the rigid, non-negotiable stances of Obama and Schumer on the health care tax or anything else, if remembered at all it will be as headstrong idealists who caused their party’s demise by committing political suicide.

Appropriately, a Facebook friend posted this one:

That’s it for today folks.

Adios
