As the Trump inauguration draws closer, signs of panic among leftists are
growing immeasurably greater. Whereas their major problem is
their own continual failure across all levels of government, they've nothing left at all to offer. As a result, they’re now forced to resort to deriding,
defaming and decrying the Republicans who’ve beaten them soundly
nationwide.
The traits of incapability, misguided-thinking and incompetence are nothing
new to them, however, as evidenced by their realization ten years or so ago that
to have a real chance at regaining control of Washington, they needed an
aggressive idea factory like the conservative Heritage Foundation.
What was developed was the Center for American Progress (CAP), that became
the most influential independent organization in Obama's Washington. The CAP was
the brainchild of former Clinton White House chief of staff John Podesta, who
worked to create a "think tank on steroids," to help progressive ideas regain
power.
Although the CAP was intended to grow party membership and the voting base of
the left through creative and attractive ideas, current Democrat leadership far more reflects the mantra of activist Saul Alinsky, the
street-organizer who wrote: “Rules for Radicals: A Pragmatic Primer for
Realistic Radicals”
Published in 1971 Alinsky’s goal was to create a guide for future community
organizers to use in uniting low-income communities, or "Have-Nots", “in order
for them to gain social, political, legal, and economic power."
According to Wikipedia, the book's ten chapters contain lessons on how a community
organizer, “can accomplish the goal of
successfully uniting people into an active organization with the power to effect
change on a variety of issues. Though targeted at community organization, these
chapters also touch on other issues that range from ethics, education,
communication, and symbol construction to nonviolence and political philosophy."
The chapters descriptions themselves provide clear indications of the
stratagems still employed by a vacuous leftist leadership that’s been reduced to
fear tactics, mud-slinging and outright fabrications with absolutely nothing positive to offer their shrinking
constituency.
Alinsky, though, provides them a road-map suggesting: 'Whenever possible, go outside the expertise of the enemy.
Look for ways to increase insecurity, anxiety and uncertainty.”
That can be seen in continual barbs from the left about Trump’s lack of
political expertise.
The theme is furthered in Alinsky’s stratagem to: “Pick the target, freeze
it, personalize it, and polarize it. Cut off the support network and isolate the
target from sympathy. Go after people and not institutions; people hurt faster
than institutions.”
Here again, while Republicans gained immeasurably nationwide in wins at every
level, Trump alone remains the leftist target.
Next, is a leftist political specialty, magnified by huge help from a kindred
and complicit MSM: “A good tactic is one your people enjoy. They’ll keep doing
it without urging and come back to do more. They’re doing their thing, and will
even suggest better ones.” Evidenced by the left's constant fabrications about issues such as the
health tax repeal, deportation of illegals and instigation of war with a host of
foreign nations.
And then three more that are currently obvious in the refusal by Georgia
Representative John Lewis to recognize Trump’s election win.
Alinsky says: “Keep the pressure on. Never let up.” Keep trying new things to
keep the opposition off balance. As the opposition masters one approach, hit
them from the flank with something new.
“The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself. Imagination
and ego can dream up many more consequences than any activist.
And particularly in this case, as evidenced by Lewis: “Ridicule is man’s most
potent weapon. There is no defense. It’s irrational. It’s infuriating. It also
works as a key pressure point to force the enemy into concessions.”
All of which lead to the leftist standby that’s become their mantra,
perfected by Obama throughout his political career and needing no further
explanation: “If you push a negative hard enough, it will push through and
become a positive. Violence from the other side can win the public to your side
because the public sympathizes with the underdog.”
Nonetheless, while Alinsky obviously knew without doubt how to promote
oneself while defaming and debasing others, he also understood the
vulnerabilities of having no positive’s of one’s own.
In that regard, he advised: “A tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag.
Don’t become old news.” Which is something Obama already is and Representative
Lewis will quickly become as well.
And most damaging of all for leftists in general was Alinsky’s admonition:
“The price of a successful attack is a constructive alternative. Never let the
enemy score points because you’re caught without a solution to the problem.”
On this point, the ordinarily accurate Alinsky didn’t go quite far enough though.
Because leftists always have solutions to what they perceive and promote as
problems. However, what they can never come up with are viable solutions that
work for anyone, except the Democrat elite and their lackey’s in public
office.
That’s it for today folks.
Adios
