The POTUS’s ill-timed comments on “Good Morning America” yesterday, that ISIS is being contained, has received considerable blowback, as it should have.

In response, US Officials have deferred to the French investigation into what occurred on Friday night in Paris. One of them saying: “'It means exactly what he said,' the senior official said about Obama's comments. 'Their (ISIS's) momentum in terms of territorial gains in Iraq and Syria has been contained/halted.”

According to dailymail.co.uk, the official said, “This is a French counterterrorism investigation and we are working with French officials to provide any assistance they may need. When they are able to share information and we, in turn, are able to share public details, we will do so.'

This mincing of words and truth avoidance has caused significant numbers of people to react negatively, one of them Michael Goodwin @nypost.com, who wrote today: “So we are back to square one again, facing a stronger and more emboldened enemy. The time has run out for half measures and kicking the can down the road. The enemy must be destroyed on the battlefield before there can be any hope of peace.

“If Obama cannot rise to the challenge of leadership in this historic crisis, then, for the good of humanity, he should resign. Those are the only options and it is his duty to decide.”

Unfortunately for Mr. Goodwin, and the rest of us, is that the POTUS has never seemed to care very much about “the good of humanity.” Unless they're an illegal immigrant or contributor to his political party.

Then, scrolling around on Drudge this morning I came across an article from Mark Steyn’s column, Steyn on Europe @.steynonline.com that summed up the world’s leadership ignorance and  incompetence perfectly, as follows:

“Twenty-four hours ago, I said on the radio apropos the latest campus "safe space" nonsense:

“This is what we're going to be talking about when the mullahs nuke us.

“Almost. When the Allahu Akbar boys opened fire, Paris was talking about the climate-change conference due to start later this month, when the world's leaders will fly in to "solve" a "problem" that doesn't exist rather than to address the one that does. But don't worry: we already have a hashtag (#PrayForParis) and doubtless there'll be another candlelight vigil of weepy tilty-headed wankers. Because as long as we all advertise how sad and sorrowful we are, who needs to do anything?”

No one could present that any better.

Which brings us to today’s update on Bill Clinton’s wife.

Apparently, there was a Democrat debate last night and I certainly don’t know if anyone bothered to watch it. However, Christopher S. Rugaber and Calvin Woodward, summed it for  the Associated Press in an article containing several untruths from Bill’s wife, as usual. With a couple from Sanders too.

The article’s titled, AP FACT CHECK: Clinton on guns; Sanders on wage inequality.

At this point, since neither of these candidates have presidential credentials, both producing unsubstantiated hot air, much of it not even close to factual, it brings up the ongoing question: Joe Biden, Mayor Bloomberg, Jerry Brown, and Starbuck’s chairman and CEO, Howard Schultz, are you reading this?

And lastly, a friend posted this on FB today.

That’s it for today folks.

Adios
