BloggeRhythms

The international climate change conference will take place in Paris, from November 30 to December 11. No pun intended, but the hot topic will be global warming.

In that regard, Mother Nature is showing once more that she has a world class sense of humor to go along with her totally unpredictable weather activities.

As reported @weather.com/storms, “Winter Storm Bella will bring the first, not to mention locally heavy, accumulating snow of the season for some in the Upper Midwest, Corn Belt, and Great Lakes.

“Winter storm warnings continue from much of Iowa into northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin, including the Quad Cities, Madison, Rockford, Milwaukee and Chicago.

“In the much of the Upper Midwest, this means a likelihood for at least 6 inches of snow in 12 hours, or 8 inches of snow in 24 hours.”

So, once again, as often in the past, Nature’s selected the POTUS’s home town to bring her first early blizzard, to underscore the point that the global-warming farce is one of the biggest scams ever foisted on humanity. However, with all those billions being raked in by con men like AlGore and Tom Steyer, the facts don’t have a prayer of reaching the public if the administration can help it. Despite the evidence showing that temperatures haven’t changed at all in the past 18 1/2 years.

In that regard, here’s a link to what some prominent global-warming dissenters have to say on the subject: http://www.climatedepot.com/2015/11/19/scientists-declare-un-climate-summit-goals-irrational-based-on-nonsense-leading-us-down-a-false-path/

On another issue, immigration of Syrian’s sought by the POTUS, who claims there is no risk in granting them entry, Christian Datoc, reporter @dailycaller.com, wrote Thursday: “FBI Director James Corney, “has expressed serious concerns about pending legislation that would require “national security officials to certify whether an approved refugee should be allowed to enter the United States.”

Evan Perez, CNN’s justice reporter, added: “Director Corney “has some really grave concerns that this legislation would allow anyone, any refugees” entry.

Perez further noted that Comey has expressed his concerns to both the Obama administration and Congress that, “this requirement, where he would have to personally sign off on every individual refugee coming from Syria and Iraq is just frankly impossible.”

Thus, there are now two questions yet unanswered. First, why would the POTUS still insist on pursuing his extremely unpopular invitation  to immigrants when practically every other nation is reconsidering their own open-mindedness of the issue, following the terrorist attacks in Paris? And second, why would he refuse to even reconsider his open-door policy when his own FBI director is telling him that certainty safety is “frankly impossible?”

There are several answers to both of these questions, and quite unfortunately, not one of them is good for the United States or its citizens.

And then, a friend posted the following on FB yesterday, as a reminder of what took place tax wise this year.

While there are those who argue with the specific numbers in the chart, the information is generally accurate. And, most importantly, is to remember who in Congress voted for it and why they did it. All Democrats

As far as FB postings go, here is another one from the same friend, which pretty much speaks for itself.

Which brings us to today’s update on Bill Clinton’s wife.

Eric Pianin in The Fiscal Times on Thursday, reported that Bernie Sanders, who he calls a self-described Democratic socialist, isn’t buying Bill’s wife’s claims that she blames Wall Street for most of the country’s economic ills.

Sanders said, “I have never heard a candidate – never – who’s received huge amounts of money from oil, from Wall Street, from the military industrial complex who doesn’t say, ‘Oh, these contributions will not influence me. I’m going to be independent.”

Bill’s wife “testily” complained that Sanders, “Impugned my integrity.” Since announcing for president in April, Clinton has vowed to rein in Wall Street.

Mr. Pianin points out: “More importantly, however is that The Washington Post just handed Sanders and other critics powerful evidence that the Clinton family is in fact in enormous political debt to Wall Street.”

“A new Washington Post database documenting an astounding $3 billion in contributions and fees the Clinton amassed over the past 40 years for their political campaigns, speeches and the charitable work of the global Clinton Foundation shows that Wall Street has been one of the Clintons’ biggest political benefactors.

“The relationship dates back to 1991, when a then young governor Bill Clinton of Arkansas impressed a group of high-powered New York bankers, including then Goldman Sachs co-chairman Robert Rubin, who later became Treasury Secretary during Clinton’s presidency. [Gee whiz. I guess there’s no tie to Wall Street there.]

“Since 2000, Hillary Clinton has raised $29.2 million from PACs and employees of major banks, hedge funds and securities firms for her Senate and presidential campaigns while her husband raised $39.7 million from Wall Street sources throughout his political career – or a total of $68.9 million.

Here is the Post’s breakdown of the millions of dollars that the financial sector has contributed to the Clintons since 1992.

  • 1992  Bill Clinton presidential campaign -- $11.17 million
  • 1996 Bill Clinton presidential campaign -- $28.37 million
  • 2000 Hillary Clinton Senate campaign -- $2.13 million
  • 2006 Hillary Clinton Senate reelection -- $6.02 million
  • 2008 Hillary Clinton presidential campaign -- $14.61 million
  • 2016 Hillary Clinton presidential campaign through Sept. 30 -- $6.42 million.
Reader, Rebel commented: “A testy Clinton complained that Sanders, “Impugned my integrity.” How could that be, you have to have some before it can be impugned.”

Which brings up the ongoing question: Joe Biden, Mayor Bloomberg, Jerry Brown, or Starbuck’s chairman and CEO, Howard Schultz, are you reading this?

That’s it for today folks.

Adios
