Recent postings have sarcastically questioned the irrationality of having a bartender in a powerful, decision-making position as she exercises rights granted to a United States Congressperson.
Now today, as the Russian invasion magnifies, the contention
solidifies whereas the claim can in fact be made that the bartender herself is significantly
responsible for the devastation, deaths and destruction taking place in Ukraine.
As reported
back on Thursday, January 13, 2022 by
@https://www.defensenews.com/congress: “A top Pentagon pick for
President Joe Biden has criticized the Obama administration’s response
to Russia’s 2014 annexation of Crimea from Ukraine as “too slow and
too incremental,” at her confirmation hearing Thursday.
“GOP
and Democratic members of the Senate Armed Services Committee
grilled Celeste Wallander, a senior Russia adviser to President Barack
Obama in 2014, on past and future U.S. lethal aid for Ukraine. Wallander,
nominated to be assistant secretary of defense for international security
affairs, said it was the wrong call not to send weapons to Ukraine.
“I
believe that our response in 2014 was too slow and too incremental. And it’s
confirmed by the lessons that I learned, and that I believe others in the
national security community learned, to better address Russia’s ongoing
aggression,” said Wallander, who would oversee U.S. military security
cooperation and foreign military sales.
“Later,
Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark.,
asked whether the Obama administration had made a miscalculation by not sending
Ukraine lethal weapons for fear of provoking a war with Russia. Wallander
agreed.”
While
Russia indeed annexed Crimea with Obama in office, a four year, peaceful, lull followed,
Putin doing nothing whatsoever to antagonize, threaten or anything else held possibly
suspect by a different kind of president, Donald Trump.
Then,
soon after Biden took office, Putin
realizing the new president was victimized by a Congresswoman from the Bronx
and her three cohorts, released his troops to capture Ukraine.
Taking
those events as they happened, a definitive pattern can be seen. From Putin’s
perspective opportunities were like bookends, first sensing Obama’s presidential
weakness, then Trump’s strength, retuning to weakness on Biden’s arrival in the
White House.
While
today’s Chief Executive remains ultimate decision-maker, the decision-making
itself goes far beyond simple circumstance, political considerations
significantly influencing the process. As for the political considerations
themselves, needing support of Progressives, concessions were traded for votes,
the concessions in turn unquestionably empowering the Bronx bartender.
One
element of concession regarding the bartender and her “Greens” prohibits U.S.
production of oil which, had the nation remained the world’s foremost producer,
Russia’s 209,000 barrels per day (bpd) of crude and 500,000 bpd of
other petroleum products would not have been needed. According
to Forbes, “In 2021, Russia accounted for 21% of all U.S. gasoline
imports, with Canada second at 17%. By value, Russian imports increased 71.05%,
which is slightly less than gasoline imports from the world, which increased
80.53%. The Russian total was $12.78 billion.”
Therefore,
since oil is Russia’s only significant export, American billions provided funding
for the invasion into Ukraine. And by holding the president virtually hostage
politically, prohibiting domestic U.S. oil production, that same Congresswoman also
prohibited the taking of appropriate steps to financially curtail Putin’s
Ukrainian invasion. Which means, tracing events from the start, an international
conflict, harming, maiming and killing innumerable innocent beings occurred due to the
irrational blathering's of a barmaid from the Bronx.
That’s
it for today folks
Adios
PS: While moonlighting from Congress, a man is at her bar, drunk. She picks him up off the floor, and offers to take him home. On the way to her car, he falls down three times. When she gets to his house, she helps him out of the car, and on the way to the front door, he falls down four more times. She rings the bell and says, “Here's your husband!” The man's wife says, “Where's his wheelchair?”
