BloggeRhythms

Yesterday’s posting touched upon how strategically focused efforts can permit quite small assemblages to attain significant power. Regarding government, a major component found in Saul Alinsky’s “How to Create a Socialist State,” is education – “Take control of what people read and listen to and take control of what children learn in school.”

Well aware of that, Rush would spend significant time on selective subjects each day to “undo” disinformation spread by the major media in their support of particular unsubstantiated leftist efforts. A favorite of those became “global warming,” a fiction which even the media could not sustain, eventually changing the name to “climate change.”

In remembrance of Rush, here’s part of a column yesterday byoldest air in three years coming to parts of the country.” https://www.nbcnews.com/news/weather/coldest-air-three-years-coming-parts-country-rcna11618

"Wind chills as cold as 45 degrees below zero are possible across the northern tier. Meanwhile, New York and Boston are set to see their coldest temperatures since 2019.”

So it looks like this climate change stuff is as fickle as the weather.

While a subject like climate change provides substantial leverage for the left, particularly when supported by a media selectively disseminating information to a poorly educated audience, the underlying elements of that leverage are astounding.

At present, the Congressional Progressive Caucus is composed of 95 members in the U.S. House of Representatives and one U.S. Senator.

Regarded as modern liberals, they generally promote Keynesian economics and social democracy. Keynesian economics is a theory that says the government should increase demand to boost growth. Believing consumer demand is the primary driving force in an economy, the theory supports an expansionary fiscal policy. Its main tools are government spending on infrastructure, unemployment benefits, and education. A drawback being overdoing Keynesian policies increases inflation.

Within the Progressive Caucus itself are six self-described "democratic socialists" as of 2021: Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont and Representatives Danny K. Davis of Illinois, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Jamaal Bowman of New York, Rashida Tlaib of Michigan, and Cori Bush of Missouri.

As far as Democrat leadership is concerned, Chuck Schumer has generally been a lead consensus-builder on difficult issues such as health care, immigration, and financial regulation in the Senate, while Nancy Pelosi’s position is unknown in the House. Neither however are truly democrat socialists in any way, shape or form.

While Biden may or not truly be a “progressive,” perhaps aligning with them to obtain their electoral support, it’s doubtful he’s actually a democratic socialist at heart. Which means the way the last election worked out mathematically, taking a step back and looking purely at the arithmetic, it can be seen that six politicians on the lunatic fringe have gained control of the nation’s agenda thanks to diligent application of Saul Alinsky’s theories  in “How to Create a Socialist State.”

That’s it for today folks.

Adios
