Several of today’s items have to be read several times. Whereas they seem so far beyond ridiculous that one has to read them over and over again to be sure of what was written.

 

The Obama administration keeps pursuing a “deal” with Iran that will likely not prevent its development of nuclear weaponry. While this goes on, the story that’s sold to the world is that this is the only way to maintain peace in the Middle-East, and that the agreement will keep Iranian neighbors safe, at least for the next ten years.

 

Yet, while Obama and company sell regional peace as their rationale, Nicole Gaouette and Anthony Capaccio @bloomberg.com write that, “An agreement to curb Iran’s nuclear program could create a bonanza for U.S. defense contractors who already are benefiting as the Obama administration tries to assuage Israeli and Gulf Arab concerns by cutting deals for more than $6 billion in military hardware.

 

“The details of a potential deal being negotiated between Iran and six world powers -- China, France, Germany, Russia, the U.K. and U.S. -- would determine what steps the U.S. takes to help its allies. A nuclear agreement is likely to prompt Mideast partners to seek improved defense systems from American contractors such as Boeing Co., Lockheed Martin Corp. and Raytheon Co. as well as weapons-makers in France and elsewhere.”

 

So, on one hand, the administration is bending over backwards to close a “deal’ that will guarantee nuclear safety from Iran. While on the other they’ll spend $6 billion for defense systems among neighboring countries, knowing full well they’ll be needed against Iranian nuclear aggression. Nothing could be more certifiably moronic than that.   

 

Which brings us to today’s updates on Bill Clinton’s wife, of which there are several.

 

Rush said yesterday that, “They're just going nuts for Bernie.  The biggest fear on the Democrat side is if Biden decides to run, and Dick Morris writes a little bit about this in TheHill.com today.  If Biden decides to get in he basically freezes Hillary.”

 

Rush then delivered his analysis, “Hillary cannot run against Biden without running against Obama.  And she can't run against Obama and pull that off because among the Democrats Obama is loved and adored.  Obama hasn't done anything wrong.  So Hillary is saying she can do better?  She'd have to pull off what JFK pulled off in 1960.  JFK, it was an amazing campaign, by the way, the campaign against Nixon.  The country was roaring in '59, '60, the country was literally roaring. We had the post-war baby boom.  The economy, people were buying houses, all kinds of brand new appliances, people were buying.  It was literally booming.”

 

However, what Rush is forgetting, or somehow doesn’t realize, is that if Biden, or any other serious Democrat enters the race, Bill’s wife is finished by default. Last time around an unknown from Chicago beat her and the Clinton machine because she not only isn’t her husband, any kind of pressure at all causes her self implosion from incompetence. 

 

Adding to her current problems, according to the Associated Press, “House Republicans investigating the 2012 attacks in Benghazi, Libya on Wednesday released a March subpoena issued to Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton, one day after she said in a nationally televised interview that she "never had a subpoena" in the email controversy. 

 

“Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., chairman of the Benghazi panel, said he had "no choice" but to make the subpoena public "in order to correct the inaccuracy" of Clinton's claim. 

 

Clinton told CNN on Monday that she "never had a subpoena," adding: "Everything I did was permitted by law and regulation." 

 

“Gowdy said the committee issued the March 4 subpoena to Clinton personally after learning the full extent of her use of private emails while serving as secretary of state.” 

 

Additionally, “Gowdy has said the missing emails raise "serious questions" about Clinton's decision to erase her personal server, especially before it could be analyzed by an independent third-party arbiter.” 

 

Then, at the same time, according to FoxNews.com, “Senator Rand Paul, R-Ky., said Wednesday that he believes “there’s a very good chance” Hillary Clinton was lying when she said in 2013 that she didn’t know about the alleged U.S.-backed flow of weapons to rebels in Libya and Syria when she was secretary of state.

 

“Recently released emails detail Clinton’s interest in arming Libyan rebels in 2011 and show the 2016 Democratic presidential hopeful appearing to endorse the idea of using private contractors to her then-deputy chief of staff.

 

“A new Fox News report, citing federal court documents, found that the United States supported the secret supply of weapons to Libyan rebels while Clinton was secretary of state.

 

Information uncovered in a 2012 Fox News investigation raised questions about whether the weapons used to arm the Libyan rebels later surfaced in Syria. And, “Former CIA Director Porter Goss told Fox News there was no question some of the weapons that flooded Libya were making their way to Syria -- adding that the U.S. intelligence community must have been aware, given their presence in Benghazi.”

 

So, what’s most important here for Bill’s wife and her supporters is that the presidential campaign still has almost a year and a half left to go. It’s also quite logical that Republican contenders have plenty of additional negative information in their arsenals, but with so much time left, they’re correctly holding it back for a later time. That way, there will be less capability for recovery. 

 

All of which leads to the recurring question: Mayor Bloomberg, and certainly Joe Biden, are either of you reading this?
