BloggeRhythms 1/3/2013

Maybe it’s just me, but sometimes I get the feeling that perhaps I no longer comprehend what I read, started losing my faculties, or worse, drifted into a twilight zone where nothing at all's as it seems.

Today is especially so regarding other-world-like occurrences. Because according to Joel Gehrke, Commentary Writer for The Washington Examiner via Drudge:President Obama cut a video, distributed by his reelection, to reiterate his belief that the wealthiest Americans still aren’t paying their “fair share” of taxes.”

Then he went on to say, “Obviously, there is still more to do when it comes to reducing our debt. And I’m willing to do more, as long as we do it in a balanced way that doesn’t put all the burden on seniors or students or middle class families, but also asks the wealthiest Americans to contribute and pay their fair share.”

Now, I certainly understand that virtually every word the incumbent utters contains little, if any, truth. He’s the consummate example of Chicago politics, wherein nothing matters except amassing votes, regardless of what it takes to gain them while valid job experience, governing skills, or any semblance of true capability isn’t required whatsoever. However, his comments today are so far from factual, they’re beyond even Chicago’s total disregard for honesty.

While I have no expectation of straightforwardness from the incumbent, whereas he’s proven to me for years now that he’s anything but, what set me off today is his continual attack on the successful and his ceaseless attempts to steal what they've gained for themselves. Because they didn’t cause the financial morass we’re in...he did it all by himself!

However, rather than trying to repair the damage he’s caused and instituting a sensible, affordable, budget, in his plan it seems that government can disrupt, mismanage, and perform without an iota of skill or knowledge, and then when they’ve achieved ruination, those who are the only ones left with any assets are supposed to bail them out. Well, to me that’s not only incomprehensibly stupid, it sounds like outright theft.

And in closing, I’ll simply repeat part of my mantra of late by asking what would happen to the economy if we drilled for our own oil? And how much bigger would businesses grow if not saddled with socialistic causes like universal health care? And how much would the price of U.S. vehicles decrease in the worldwide market if unions were out of the picture? And how much more would young folks earn if they received actual educations instead of worthless pap strewn by protected barely literate members of the UFT? Then if you add the alphabet soup of agencies now hamstringing businesses and preventing economic growth, the list would run on for pages and pages.

So, instead of continually hounding the successful for more money to waste via incompetence, perhaps the real cause of our financial woes can be identified for a small investment of about fifty cents. Because if we buy the incumbent an inexpensive mirror, he can see the economy-killing culprit for himself.

That’s it for today folks.

Adios
