BloggeRhythms

Observing the major trends in governance revealed as the new administration settles in, the advantages gained by the fact that the new POTUS is not a politician becomes more and more apparent.

That's because, while he’s been studying the mechanics of government for quite some time by now, very few politico's on either side of the aisle have the individual skills or acumen required to structure, negotiate and close mega-dollar business deals successfully.

And to a great extent, it certainly seems that the approach the president's taken is to treat each issue he faces as if it was an individual business transaction. By doing his homework, assessing the pro’s and con’s of each side, determining who wins and loses and how much in each situation, step by step the “deals” take shape. While a sense of the proper timing for closure formulates in the background.

His adversaries, however, have clearly illustrated that they have no solutions, no counter-offerings and no positive deal-points to benefit the nation whatsoever, forcing their resorting to personal and professional smears, innuendo’s and accusations of wrongdoing instead of presenting alternative positive ideas.

A confirmation of Democrat hopelessness came from Cody Derespina @FoxNews.com this morning in his article about Michael J. Knowles’ new book titled: “Reasons to Vote for Democrats: A Comprehensive Guide.”

The book contains 266 pages of absolutely nothing but “clean, blank, snow-white pages. And as of Thursday morning, it occupied the No. 4 slot on Amazon.com's "Best Sellers" list.”
Mr. Desparina quotes an excerpt from the author, “the main reason to vote for a Democrat is “          ,” and then goes on to state that: “The above is not a typo.”

“What’s really great about this book, you can go cover-to-cover in about 15, 20 seconds,” Knowles’ told “Fox & Friends” on Thursday.

Billed as “the most exhaustively researched and coherently argued Democrat Party apologia to date,” the spoof book was Knowles' attempt to razz the party for a lack of direction.”

“The project does, curiously, contain an extensive bibliography and a table of contents. But nothing else.

“It took a very long time to research this book,” Knowles said Thursday. “I’ve been observing the Democratic Party for at least 10 years now and when I observed their record and reasons to vote for them – on reasons of economics or foreign policy or homeland security or civil rights and so on – I realized it was probably best to just leave all the pages blank.”

What’s quite interesting, and certainly personally associative, is that for the past six years the same conclusions have been reached here continually. It’s just a shame that the idea never arose to write a non-book about it and make a few bucks in the process myself.

And then, while the left continues its self-destruction, the new POTUS adds more water to their sinking boat with some outstanding economic results.

According to Austin Weinstein @bloomberg.com: ” Americans’ confidence continued to mount last week as the Bloomberg Consumer Comfort Index reached the highest point in a decade on more-upbeat assessments about the economy and buying climate, figures showed Thursday.

Key Points
  • Consumer comfort index rose to 50.6 in the period ended March 5, the highest since March 2007, from 49.8
  • Measure has exceeded 50 just six times since April 2002
  • Gauge of economy advanced to 48.2, the highest since August 2001, from 46.8
  • Buying-climate measure rose to 44.5, the strongest reading since April 2002, from 43.7
  • Index of personal finances was little changed at 58.9 versus 59
“Stock indexes near record highs and persistent strength in the job market have lifted the consumer comfort gauge in five of the last six weeks since the inauguration of President Donald Trump. The report showed respondents view the buying climate as the most favorable in nearly 15 years, indicating household spending may rebound after a slow start to 2017. While sentiment has been particularly strong among those who vote Republican, the data also showed political independents were the most upbeat since July 2001.”

At the same time, FoxNews.com reports that: “The number of people illegally crossing the U.S. southern border has dropped 40 percent in President Trump’s first full month in office, Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly said Wednesday.

“U.S. Customs and Border Patrol reported that the number of illegal border crossings dropped from 31,578 to 18,762 persons. Kelly said border agents usually see a 10 to 20 percent increase in illegal immigrant apprehensions from January to February.

“The drop in apprehensions shows a marked change in trends,” Kelly said. “Since the administration’s implementation of executive orders to enforce immigration laws, apprehensions and inadmissible activity is trending toward the lowest monthly total in at least the last five years.”

Which means that, while leftist objections are raised and states like Hawaii are unconcerned about possibilities of potential threats from illegal entrants, those same illegals are clearly getting the message about Trump's ultimate intentions. That's why many are deciding not to bother coming here as they did in the past.

At a result, although those on the left aided by the MSM continually claim that the new POTUS isn’t delivering what he’d promised while they simultaneously erect every roadblock possible, actual results illustrate something else.

Thus, in the end, it really doesn’t matter what the left and the MSM attempt in efforts to discredit the president. Because the voters who put him in office are getting what they were promised, and that’s all that really counts in U.S. elections and afterward.

That’s it for today folks.

Adios
