BloggeRhythms

Another morning wasted on computer glitches, which really shouldn’t occur in today's day and age. However, it’s fixed now and today’s entry can be completed late which is far better than never.

As far as the Iranian nuke deal’s concerned, each day’s news discloses that there really isn’t much of a deal at all at present, and probably won’t be in the future. Which fits right into this administration’s typical performance; all noise and no substance.

On another example of leftist hypocrisy and baseless blathering, John Hawkins writes in rightwingnews.com, that, “Last week, I got together with Bruce Carroll from Gay Patriot to write a letter calling on Apple to live up to its publicly stated principles by pulling out of countries that murder their citizens for being gay.”

Mr. Hawkins points out that, “Recently, Apple CEO Tim Cook said,

“Our message, to people around the country and around the world, is this: Apple is open. Open to everyone, regardless of where they come from, what they look like, how they worship or who they love. Regardless of what the law might allow in Indiana or Arkansas, we will never tolerate discrimination.

…This is about how we treat each other as human beings…  Opposing discrimination takes courage. With the lives and dignity of so many people at stake, it’s time for all of us to be courageous.”

However, Mr. Hawkins then goes on to note that, “Tim Cook’s message seems rather ironic in light of the fact that Apple willingly does business with some of the most virulently anti-gay nations on the planet.

“According to their Islamic-based governments, homosexuality is punishable by death in Nigeria, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Iran.  So not only is it willing to “tolerate discrimination” in those countries, Apple is also happy to sell an iPod to the people who are murdering gays so they can listen to some cheery music when they’re done. What these nations are doing to their gay communities is despicable and should be condemned by every decent person. We hope Tim Cook believes that as well.”

Therefore, while “Tim Cook says that, “Opposing discrimination takes courage,” and we agree.  We call on Mr. Cook to live up to our shared principles by pulling Apple out of Nigeria, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Iran until they stop their official government policies of jailing and murdering gays and lesbians.”

Reader, Carl Fales, put the issue in perspective correctly and succinctly, opining that, “The hypocrisy and double standards of liberals knows no bounds.”

On a similar subject, Wilson writes on www.glennbeck.com, that Carly Fiorina joined the radio show Monday to talk about just a few of the liberal policies that are completely destroying the West Coast.”

Ms Fiorina said, “With different policies over the last 20 years, all of this could be avoided. Despite the fact that California has suffered from droughts for millennia, liberal environmentalists have prevented the building of a single new reservoir or a single new water conveyance system over decades during a period in which California’s population has doubled.”

She went on to add, “It is a man-made disaster. We must, absolutely must, get government under control, which means reducing its size and its power and its complexity in really fundamental ways. And that is why I am seriously considering running for president, and will make a final decision over the next month or so.”

Thus, even though she attempted to grasp the issue as part of an impending presidential bid, Ms Fiorina’s absolutely correct. Because just like most other liberal issues, the appearance of “caring” about any particular cause always outweighs reality and damage incurred. Regardless of how many eventually suffer from ill-though out remedies and totally illogical solutions to problems liberals create themselves.

Which brings us to today’s update on Bill Clinton’s wife.

Appearing on Fox’s “The Kelly File” Monday, former director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, Michael Flynn said Bill’s wife’s use of a private e-mail server put national security at risk.

He went to say that, “the likelihood was very high” that Clinton’s server may have been hacked by “China, Russia, Iran, potentially the North Koreans and other countries who may be quote/unquote our allies.”

What matters most regarding Mr. Flynn’s opinion is that, aside from the fact the he’s an expert in the field, the interview confirms that the email issue is not only one that isn’t going to go away soon, but illustrates a self-serving attitude that can’t be tolerated in someone charged with the responsibility for the welfare and safety of the United States and its citizens.

That’s it for today folks.

Adios
