BloggeRhythms

If there was ever any doubt that Bill Clinton’s wife was out of touch with just about all of the American population, her presidential candidacy announcement reinforced the point quite clearly.

Making the announcement in a YouTube video, she says: “Everybody needs a champion. And I want to be that champion.”

While the need for a champion may exist for sports fans unable to compete themselves, most others Americans desire to succeed on their own, that’s what the American dream is all about. And if there were some who felt a need for help, it’s doubtful they’d look to an old broken down political hack whose own career resulted from marriage to a political superstar. There’s not a lot of helpful role-modeling in that for most ordinary folks at all.

What really productive people want is minimal outside interference and government completely off their back and out of their lives.

As far as Bill’s wife’s own “career” is concerned, Daniel Harper offered Carly Fiorina’s take on weeklystandard.com via Drudge.

"After the famous reset with Russia, Russia is now a more powerful adversary than it was when she became secretary of state. Our relationship with Israel has deteriorated dramatically. The Middle East is in flames. And of course she has not been transparent. She told us for weeks after the purposeful terrorist attack in Benghazi that this was the result of an American video in a demonstration gone bad, and now we learn that she has used a private email server and a private email system for the most sensitive of communications while she was secretary of state.

"She doesn’t have a track record of leadership or trustworthiness. She’s not the woman for the White House."

Thus, it would seem that getting “help” from someone with those kinds of blunders in her past would be akin to asking for it from either the captain of the Titanic or Edsel Ford.

Another assessment of Bill’s wife’s qualification’s for POTUS cam from a reader of UK’s ft.com’s Edward Luce’s article on “Why women are Hillary’s key.”

Reader peteto1 wrote: “Who wouldn't want a portly (being kind here), sickly, old (69 in 2016) lady with a truckload of baggage to be their nominee? She's so qualified. No other Secretary of State had such a glowingly successful tenure (e.g. - the debacles of Iran, Benghazi, N. Korea, Russia, Egypt, Syria, Pakistan, Libya, China, $6 billion "missing" from State Dept.,etc.). Even Democrats accuse her of being a lapdog of Wall St. "banksters". Throw in the 800 stolen FBI files, Whitewater involvement, philandering husband, and personal ties to Saul Alinsky and I think we have a WINNER, eh??.......”

So, for whatever it’s worth, Bill’s wife’s hat is now in the presidential candidacy ring. And if the preceding stuff is any example of what’s to come, the 2016 campaign may go down as one of the most vile in the nation’s history. But, that’s the consequence of what all talk, no results candidates are all about.

That’s it for today folks.

Adios
