An article today stood out because the subject seemed quite out of character
for the POTUS and his administration. According to reuters.com:
“Immigration officials are planning a fresh round of deportation raids targeting
hundreds of Central American families who entered the U.S. illegally, according
to a published report.
“Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has told field offices
to make a 30-day arrest 'surge' against mothers and children who have already
been told to leave the country. Reuters also reported that the operation would
target those who entered the U.S. as minors and have since turned 18.”
While the actions certainly seemed odd for an administration that does all it
can to attract, and then protect illegal entrants, regardless of laws,
regulations and the Constitution, the next paragraph in the story clarified the
situation.
“The operations are the latest effort to deter illegal immigrants from
flooding the U.S.-Mexico border and straining federal resources, as happened in
the summer of 2014.”
Thus, what appears apparent is that in election years the POTUS seeks to
create headlines suggesting that his administration is actually making great
efforts to deal with the illegal immigration issue. However, in reality, this
“arrest surge” isn’t even a drop in the bucket.
What’s even more more deviously constructed are the arguments made by the
Democrat presidential candidates who took the likely staged situation to confirm
their support for illegal entrants.
“Both Democratic presidential candidates expressed opposition to the planned
raids Tuesday, with front-runner Hillary Clinton saying they are "not productive
and do not reflect who we are as a country."
"Families fleeing violence in Central America must be given a full
opportunity to seek relief," Clinton added. "And we need to take special care of
children."
“Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders issued a statement calling the raids "painful
and inhumane" while asking President Obama to give Central American families
temporary protective status through an executive order.
"Sending these people back into harm’s way is wrong," Sanders said.”
So, here we have a two-sided attempt to demonstrate that the Democrat party
is all things to all people, regardless. While the truth of the matter is that
neither alternative is feasible. Because, deporting a mere handful of illegals
is minuscule compared to the total cost that’s already been accrued.
And, supporting more illegals is not only harmful economically and health-wise,
but fosters national security risks from terrorism as well.
While the arithmetic hasn’t been double-checked, here’s an idea of the costs
as posted by reader bobfronfl.
“As far as healthcare, illegal aliens give birth to about 340,000 children
nation wide each year, imposing tremendous medical costs on hospitals. Several
hospitals, including ones in Stockton, CA and Dallas, TX, report as many as 70%
of their deliveries are to non-residents. Similarly, since the parents of infant
citizens still qualify for welfare in order to protect the child, the Center for
Immigration studies estimates nearly $2 billion dollars goes to illegal aliens
annually, in the form of food stamps and free lunches.”
Add that financial drain to an economy that the Democrats have strangled for
the past nine years, and the Republicans chances in November keep getting better
and better.
On another subject regarding Democrats, Joe Tacopino @nypost.com,
posted a bombshell today that: “Bill Clinton’s foundation doled out $2 million
to a power company partly owned by a wealthy blond divorcée — who some say is
the frequent visitor to his home nicknamed “Energizer.”
The Wall Street Journal reported on Thursday, that the “commitment” to Julie
Tauber McMahon’s firm from the Clinton Global Initiative was placed on its 2010
conference agenda at Clinton’s urging.
“The initiative “commits $2 million to support the work of Energy Pioneer
Solutions, a company founded to deliver energy savings to communities in rural
America,” said a 2010 statement from the charity.
“Clinton even went to bat for the company when it came to lobbying for
federal funds. He helped steer an $812,000 federal grant to it by endorsing the
funds via then-Energy Secretary Steven Chu, the Journal said.”
Descried as a “fit, blond mother of three, who lives just minutes from Bill
and Hillary Clinton’s home in Chappaqua, Westchester,” she’s the daughter of
Joel Tauber, a millionaire donor to the Democratic Party.
She’s also rumored to be the woman dubbed “Energizer” by the Secret Service
at the Clinton home because of her frequent visits, according to RadarOnline.
“Secret Service agents were even given special instructions to abandon usual
protocol when the woman came by, according to journalist Ronald Kessler’s
tell-all book, “The First Family Detail.”
“You don’t stop her, you don’t approach her, you just let her go in,” says
the book, based on agents’ accounts.
Owning 29 percent of Energy Pioneer Solutions, “Energizer” is described in
the book as a charming visitor who sometimes brought cookies to the agents.”
“Other Clinton friends — including former Democratic congressional candidate
Scott Kleeb, Democratic National Committee Treasurer Andrew Tobias and Mark
Weiner — share ownership of Energy Pioneer Solutions.”
The payout to McMahon’s company raises red flags for the Clinton's because,
“under federal law, tax-exempt nonprofits like Clinton’s are not supposed to act
in anyone’s private interest, the Journal reported.”
Then some news affecting another favorite subject, the POTUS’s $3 billion pledged for the U.N.
“Green Climate Fund” against global warming.
According to Brian Donegan
@weather.com: “High temperatures will range from 15 to 25 degrees below
average from Minneapolis and Chicago over to Pittsburgh and Philadelphia.
The cool shot of air will cause highs of only the 40s and 50s over the Upper
Midwest Friday and Great Lakes by Saturday. Parts of the UP of Michigan will
likely even get stuck in the 30s Saturday afternoon.
“The cold front will continue its trek eastward into the Northeast Saturday,
bringing showers and thunderstorms to the I-95 corridor and into Upstate New
York and New England.
By Sunday, Washington D.C. up through Boston “will be feeling the chill as
the jet stream continues its southward dip. Highs will be stuck in the 50s to
low 60s across the Northeast Sunday afternoon. While Washington D.C. and
Philadelphia improve to the mid 60s by Monday, that is still 5 to 15 degrees
below average for mid-May.”
“Lows in the 20s and 30s will be common over the Great Lakes region as the
heart of the cold air sets in for Friday and Saturday nights. In fact, portions
of the northern Great Lakes could even see a little bit of snow both nights.
“Lows in the Northeast won't be quite as chilly as the Great Lakes this
weekend. Low temperatures in the 40s are expected across the Northeast on Sunday
and Monday mornings, with a few 30s possible in interior locations. The highest
elevations of Northern New York and Northern New England also have the
possibility of some snow Saturday night and, especially, Sunday night.”
What’s most irritating about the global-warming fraud is that, as often
mentioned here, “having near- or below-freezing temperatures in mid-May are not
all that uncommon. Much of the Upper Midwest, Great Lakes, and New England
typically don't see their last freeze until between April 30 and May 20, which
appears to be on target this year.”
Add to that, the the return of the polar vortex two years ago, a persistent,
large-scale, low pressure zone that rotates counter-clockwise at the North Pole,
and clockwise at the South Pole, which brings extremely cold temperatures every
ten years or so, and we’re looking at much lower average temperatures for the
next eight years at least.
Yet, leftists still insist they know more about “climate change” than Mother
Nature, which may be why 50% of them can’t find employment requiring an iota of
intellect.
And then, a friend posted this one on Facebook today:
For what it’s worth, John Boehner addressed the SALT Conference in Las Vegas
yesterday. And although he was forced to resign his House Speakership due to
pressure from Conservatives, one would have to assume that he’s still an
“insider” with access to information not readily available to the public.
In that regard, he suggested that “Democrats might have to turn to Vice
President Biden to be their 2016 nominee, and that he "would not be surprised at
all" if Clinton "has to withdraw" and Biden "parachutes in."
At the same time, he added: “[A]nyone who thinks Trump can't win the White
House should "just watch. This is going to be a presidential campaign like we've
never seen before."
The former Speaker’s comments suggest that perhaps he also knows about
another item from FoxNews.com, that is the subject of today’s update on
Bill Clinton’s wife, as follows:
“A new set of State Department documents released Thursday by the watchdog
group Judicial Watch reveal then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton made the
choice not to use a secure phone line amid a technical problem and acknowledged
the risk of using a private Blackberry phone.
“The documents contain a Feb. 22, 2009, email exchange between Clinton and
her then-Chief of Staff Cheryl Mills attempting to communicate over a secure
line after Clinton returned from an overseas trip.
“When there were issues setting up a secure communication, Clinton wrote to
Mills, “I called ops and they gave me your ‘secure’ cells… but only got a
high-pitched whining sound.”
“Mills then suggested that Clinton try the secure line again, but the former
secretary wrote back, “I give up. Call me on my home #.”
“Clinton's choice not to use a secure phone line is similar to a previous
June, 17, 2011 email exchange with then-State Department deputy chief of staff
Jake Sullivan, where she directed him to strip the classification markings of
sensitive talking points and send through non-secure fax.
"They say they've had issues sending secure fax. They're working on it,"
Sullivan wrote to Clinton.
"If they can't, turn into nonpaper w no identifying heading and send
nonsecure," Clinton responded.”
So, regardless of any claims to the contrary, or the professing of
unawareness or misunderstanding of regulations, it seems that Bill’s wife knew
exactly what she was doing by her use of an unauthorized, unprotected device.
Which may be why Speaker Boehner made his speculation.
And that certainly brings up the ongoing question again: Joe Biden, Mayor
Bloomberg, Jerry Brown, and Starbuck’s chairman and CEO, Howard Schultz, are you
guys reading this?
That’s it for today folks.
Adios
