BloggeRhythms

As the unusually slow weekend for news continues, several items surfaced regarding lesser-publicized activities taking place behind the scenes. All of them indicating festering problems for the political left.

According to Breitbart Jerusalem @breitbart.com: Politico cites a “sweeping” investigation by Republican leaders of the House oversight committee into “whether the Obama administration, in trying to win support for a nuclear deal and prisoner swap with Tehran last year, undermined an ambitious U.S. counterproliferation effort to thwart Iranian weapons trafficking networks.”

13 Republican senators have also demanded answers about “whether the Obama administration jeopardized U.S. national security as a result of its protracted top-secret negotiations with Tehran, and then misled the American public when disclosing the terms of the two deals in January 2016.”

House and Senate lawmakers contend that the Obama administration “through actions in some cases and inaction in others, significantly hampered a much-touted federal law enforcement effort known as the National Counterproliferation Initiative at a time when it was making unprecedented headway in thwarting Iran’s illicit weapons proliferation activities.”

While the seriousness of the matter is obvious, it was also found that readers still pay close attention to the details, to the extent that 5767 had commented to the present moment. The vast majority sampled holding the Obama administration at fault.

KJinAZ wrote: “Without question the Iran deal was TREASON of the highest order! Iran has been an enemy of the west for many decades, and nothing changed in that equation with the election of Obama. He not only made deals with known terrorist, but he made BAD DEALS for America. He proved himself a traitor to the world, and he should be facing a firing squad for his actions.

“Mr. Sessions I would hope that these charges can be brought within the year. The evidence of his crimes are very public, and there is no denying his guilt, so these trials should be fast and furious. Pun intended.”

SICARIO responded: “To have an investigation over this is just a formality. Freeing up money to a terrorist state like Iran which backed insurgents in Iraq and Afghanistan to murder coalition troops was one of the greatest betrayals in American history.”

And then, as if it were a direct refute of Schumer’s opining yesterday that the new POTUS hadn’t participated very much in the health care repeal and replacement, Michelle Moons writes the following @breitbart.com:

“After describing President Donald Trump’s role in passing the American Health Care Act through the House as “incredibly engaged” this week, Principle Deputy Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said she certainly thinks the President will remain as involved moving the bill through the Senate.

“Breitbart News asked Sanders during a Thursday press gaggle if the President will be as involved getting the health care bill passed in the Senate as he’s been in getting it passed in the House. “I would certainly think so,” she replied.”

Which means that Schumer will likely have to spend considerable time in the near future hiding in closets, under desks and behind garments in the Senate Cloakroom. To be sure not to be seen or photographed with Trump when the new POTUS visits to discuss the bill.

Bringing us to another claim from the left that many find questionable. This one concerning today’s presidential election in France.

James Murray writes @express.co.uk/news via Drudge: “Russian hackers are believed to be behind a bid to derail Emmanuel Macron’s drive to become French president by leaking embarrassing documents on the eve of the country’s election.

“At the end of last month, Macron’s team said it had been the target of attempts to steal email information dating back to January this year, adding that the perpetrators had failed to compromise any campaign data.

“The Kremlin has denied it was behind any such attacks, although Macron’s camp renewed complaints against Russian media and a hackers’ group operating in Ukraine.”

Thus, like children with a new found toy, leftists have come upon something they simply refuse to let go of. And also much like children, they seem unable to grasp the skills, accessibility and massive interfacing required to actually influence a national election. It’s also almost certain that the vast majority of politicians have no programming skills whatsoever, causing them to present irrational arguments they can’t even fathom themselves.

And here again, readers reduce the argument down to basic levels.

G_Cooney wrote: “The Democrats and Socialists are just moronic enough to think we believe their fake Russia-did-it narrative.”

SamDennis observed: “Putin must be a magician. He doesn't have to say or do anything and he seems to automatically be the power behind every idiotic Leftist failure.”

JohnMac79 wrote: “Imagine if instead of Russia getting the blame for everything it was the UK. How would we feel towards the idiots making the claims. This hysteria over blaming Russia everytime something doesnt go thier way is idiotic and dishonest.”

Lineman wrote: “The global political establishment is in total disarray!

rogimoto added depth and food for thought by proposing: “What we learned in the US, apart from the sordid realities of how the left operates, is that they are atrociously incompetent at maintaining cybersecurity.  If they can't keep their dirty secrets, how should we trust them to protect national secrets.”

That’s it for today folks.

Adios
