BloggeRhythms

There’s media speculation all over that today, Sarah Plain will endorse Donald Trump. Which is good news for all the other Republican candidates. Because after helping to sink John McCain’s presidential run, now she can help push Trump out of the race altogether.

On another subject, according to Rasmussen poll results, the POTUS has registered another major failure. This one affecting the most important segment of his base; those whom he vowed to support above all else, minorities. Yet: “Confidence in race relations in America continues to fall, with hopes for the future at their lowest level yet.”

Americans hoped the election of the first black president in 2008 would help heal the racial division that has plagued this country for much of its history, but a plurality (47%) of voters thinks Barack Obama has driven those of different races further apart instead.

“A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 50% of American Adults now think race relations in this country are getting worse, up from 44% a year ago and 30% as recently as January 2014. Only 20% believe race relations are getting better, a new low that compares to 38% five years ago. Twenty-six percent (26%) say race relations are staying about the same.

“Only 18% rate race relations in America today as good or excellent, unchanged from last year at this time but down from 34% two years ago. Thirty-three percent (33%) now consider race relations poor, up from 15% in 2011 and 29% last January.”

At the same time, Josh Gerstein @politico.com, writes: ”The Supreme Court announced Tuesday that it will take up a case challenging the legality of President Barack Obama's executive actions aimed at granting quasi-legal status and work permits to up to five million people who entered the U.S. illegally as children or who have children who are American citizens.

“The high court's widely-expected move gives Obama a chance to revive a key legacy item that has been in limbo for nearly a year, since a federal judge in Texas issued an order halting immigration moves the president announced just after the 2014 midterm elections.”

However, the justices aren't expected to hear arguments on the issue until April, handing down a ruling by the end of June. Meaning that even if the court rules in the POTUS’s favor, his administration will only have a seven-month window to try to roll out the expanded Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program and the new initiative called Deferred Action for Parents of Americans.

As a result, although “advocacy groups are eager to have illegal immigrants apply for the programs, there are questions about how many will do so if they're debuted or expanded so close to the end of Obama's presidency.”

Especially if it looks like a Republican will win the White House in November. Because that would certainly mean the rescinding of the executive action that most working Americans have been against since its inception.

And then, in a move that should be no surprise to any individual capable of rational thought: “The head of Iran’s atomic energy organization announced on Tuesday that the Islamic Republic, with assistance from Russia and China, will move forward on the construction of two new nuclear power plants, according to comments published in Iranian state-controlled media.” As reported by Adam Kredo @freebeacon.com

“Ali Akbar Salehi, who heads the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, told Iranian reporters that construction on these new nuclear plants will begin in the “near future,” according to Fars News Agency.”

In this case, it‘s been clear from almost the very beginning that the POTUS, Kerry and other Iran supporters in the administration, were going to permit Iran to do whatever it wanted regarding nuclear development, so long as it stopped short of actual weaponry at this point in time.

However, after fleecing the U.S. so easily with the administration’s help, you’d think the Iranians would wait at least a couple of days out of common decency. Before showing the world how simple it is to con incapable, eager amateurs.

Moving along, a friend sent this today. It’s something to think about.

"AMERICA NEEDS A CANDIDATE WITH THIS PLATFORM FOR 2016!!

(1) Any use of the phrase: 'Press 1 for English' is immediately banned! English is the official language; speak it or wait outside of our borders until you can.

(2) We will immediately go into a two year isolationist attitude in order to straighten out the greedy big business posture in this country. America will allow NO imports, and we'll do no exports. We will use the 'Wal-Mart 's policy, 'If we ain't got it, you don't need it.' We'll make it here and sell it here!

(3) When imports are allowed, there will be a 100% import tax on what does come here.

(4) All retired military personnel will be required to man one of the many observation towers located on the southern border of the United States (six month tour). They will be under strict orders not to fire on southbound aliens.

(5) Social Security will immediately return to its original state.   "If you didn't put nuttin in, you ain't getting nuttin out." Neither the President nor any other politician will be able to touch it.

(6) Welfare. -- Checks will be handed out on Fridays, at the end of the 40 hour school week, the successful completion of a urinalysis test for drugs, and passing grades.

(7) Professional Athletes -- Steroids? The first time you check positive you're banned from sports ... for life.

(8) Crime -- We will adopt the Turkish method, i.e., the first time you steal, you lose your right hand. There is no more 'life sentences'. If convicted of murder, you will be put to death by the same method you chose for the victim you killed: gun, knife, etc.

(9) One export of ours will be allowed: wheat; because the world needs to eat. However, a bushel of wheat will be the exact price of a barrel of oil.

(10) All foreign aid using American taxpayer money, will immediately cease and what's saved will help to pay off the national debt and, ultimately, lower taxes. When disasters occur around the world, we'll ask the American people if they want to donate to a disaster fund, and each citizen can make the decision as to whether, or not, it's a worthy cause.

(11) The Pledge of Allegiance will be said every day at school and every day in Congress.

(12) The National Anthem will be played at all appropriate ceremonies, sporting events, outings, etc.

"There are four boxes to be used in defense of liberty: Soap, ballot, jury, and ammo. Please use in that order. My apology is offered if I've stepped on anyone's toes....nevertheless...God Bless America!"

Bringing us to today’s update on Bill Clinton’s wife and an article by Pat Buchanan on January12, 2016. Also sent by a friend.

Buchanan wrote: “Between now and November, she will be traversing a minefield, with detonations to be decided upon by FBI investigators who may not cherish Clinton, and might like to appear in the history books.

“Clinton's charge about Donald Trump's alleged "penchant for sexism" brought a counterstrike -- her being the "enabler" of Bill Clinton's long career as a sexual predator -- that rendered her mute.

“But with Hillary Clinton having raised the subject, it is almost certain to be reintroduced in the fall, if she is the nominee.”

And then, Buchanan went on to express his thought that: “Then there is the newly recognized reality that Clinton, who ran a terrific comeback race against Barack Obama in 2008, is not the candidate she was. Nor is Bill the imposing surrogate he once was.

"Both are eight years older, and show it. Low energy "nails it.”

However, Buchanan ought to step back to review his belief that Bill’s wife “ran a terrific comeback race against Barack Obama in 2008.” Because, regardless of how terrific she was, she lost anyway.

Bringing up the ongoing question: Joe Biden, Mayor Bloomberg, Jerry Brown, and Starbuck’s chairman and CEO, Howard Schultz, are you guys reading this?

That’s it for today folks.

Adios
