BloggeRhythms

Now that Prime Minister David Cameron’s won reelection with a solid majority confirming they wish to see Britain remain in Conservative hands, information appeared in the press outlining what most voters wish for their nation’s future.

Oliver Wright, Whitehall Editor for independent.co.uk/news, writes that “David Cameron will use the Conservative Party’s first majority in the House of Commons for nearly 20 years to “deliver” on a radical agenda to cut welfare, shrink the size of the state and re-define Britain’s relationship with Europe.

“As well as deep welfare cuts The Independent understands that the Department of Business and the Department of Energy and Climate Change, previously run by the Lib Dems, will be among the biggest casualties in terms of spending reductions.”

Now, obviously, by referring to basic conservative values as “radical,” Mr. Wright has made his political beliefs apparent. However, a reader of the column succinctly summed up what the majority of voters expect from Mr. Cameron.

Walt Creasy responded to Mr. Wright: “Radical agenda??? Reducing welfare which harms rich and poor, shrinking the size of gov't which kills jobs and restricts freedoms, and cutting the deficit which may just destroy Britain's economy. Boy, those REALLY ARE RADICAL! Who wrote this piece, Barack Hussein Obama?”

The vote itself, also portends what may be a growing trend across the globe toward conservative nationalism in general. Because it was just two months ago on March17th, that Jodi Rudoren wrote in the New York Times that, “Netanyahu Soundly Defeats Chief Rival in Israeli Elections.”

And although the preceding news may good be for the Republican party in 2016, on the other side Bill Clinton’s wife may have a viable rival yet.

New York Post columnist Seth Lipsky floats a trial balloon for a Mike Bloomberg presidential run… on the Democratic side. Asking: “Could the billionaire be the one to beat Hillary?”

Mr. Lipsky suggests that: “For Bloomberg to run as a Democrat, though — that’s a whole different story. He supposedly was a Democrat, after all, before he was a Republican and then an independent. So at least in part this would be a “Bloomberg comes home” story.

“And it’s got a good plot. All of us had plenty of gripes about the way Bloomberg ran New York, but the city boomed under his leadership. Building was way up, and crime was way down, and he knew how to defend cops and back Police Commissioner Ray Kelly.”

What’s most interesting is that while his track record is far superior to Bill’s wife, who has none at all, he could outspend her whole campaign right out of his own pocket, if he chose to.

While Bill’s wife is rumored to be planning to outlay as much as $2 billion in her campaign, according to Forbes, Bloomberg ranks #14 on their billionaires list for 2015 at $36.9 billion by himself.

In the meantime, for Bill’s campaign, it’s business as usual.

According to Chris Stirewalt’s “Power Play:” "Hillary Clinton is trying to remake herself in a hurry, shifting her positions to the left to appeal to the Democratic base. Can she do it?“

For those who don’t remember, or weren’t around when Bill was president, he seemed to run his presidential policy according to what the most recent polls had to say. And by pleasing the majority, regardless of personal belief, if he ever had any, he kept most of the people happy most of the time.

So, having seen that strategy work well in the past, his wife appears to be taking the same approach by moving left. Which will have the added effect of neutralizing rival, Elizabeth Warren.

All of which goes to prove that you have a significant advantage when you don’t have any principles to begin with, and the only thing you desire is gaining power that will lead to amassing even more personal wealth.

Thus, it’s really a shame for her that Bloomberg already has more than he’ll ever need, and if he decides to run, has talent to boot. Sounds like perhaps another Obama’s in the woodwork, for Bill’s wife. Which means that, if Bloomberg actually wins, next time around (2024) she’ll be 76 years old.

That’s it for today folks

Adios
