Ryan Gajewski of the Hollywood Reporter writes that Brian Williams is stepping away from NBC Nightly News for a number of days.

According to Mr. Gajewski, “The anchor sent a note to the show's staff, announcing that Lester Holt is replacing him for an unspecified amount of time. The news comes as Williams is embroiled in a scandal surrounding his story  about being a passenger in a helicopter that took fire in Iraq in 2003.”

Learning that, evidently, Williams hasn’t resigned, caused me to research his audience size. “NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams” finished first in the ratings for the week of Jan. 26, according to Chris Ariens in the TVNewser column at adweek.com. The number of people tuning in was 9,889,000.

So, what that means is, almost 10 million viewers will be receiving news from an admitted fabricator, which raises the question of how Williams can ever be trusted again when reporting. And, therefore, regardless of audience size or his importance to the network, NBC really has no choice but to terminate his services if they want to retain their viewers confidence.

Speaking of trust and veracity, Drudge posted the following link. PAPER-  'GLOBAL WARMING' BIGGEST SCIENCE SCANDAL EVER

In the article, Christopher Booker writes in telegraph.co.uk, “When future generations look back on the global-warming scare of the past 30 years, nothing will shock them more than the extent to which the official temperature records – on which the entire panic ultimately rested – were systematically “adjusted” to show the Earth as having warmed much more than the actual data justified.”

As of now, there were 5361 reader comments regarding the article. Here are a couple of samples

DILIGAF wrote” “Global warming must be real, Brian Williams said so.”

And DaBigDawg added: “Really? We all know that all 57 states are warmer now.”

While the comments seem to be almost all in the same vein, the article itself is well-worth reading.

That's it for today folks.

Adios
