BloggeRhythms

Sometimes, things you read have you laughing out loud, sitting there all by yourself. Unfortunately though, as humorous as today’s opening items are, when think of the damage to the public they reveal, they really aren’t very funny at at all.

Yesterday, Katie Pavlich wrote in townhall.com that “Director of National Intelligence James Clapper said in front of a Senate Armed Services Committee today that the terror threat against the United States is expanding and revealed 2014 as the deadliest year on record for attacks around the world.

"When the final accounting is done, 2014 will have been the most lethal year for global terrorism in the 45 years such data has been compiled," Clapper said, detailing thousands of attacks throughout the year.”

At the same time, “Secretary of State John Kerry said in front of the House Foreign Affairs Committee that the world is safer than ever from terror.

"We are actually living in a period of less daily threat to Americans and to people in the world than normally; less deaths, less violent deaths today, than through the last century.”

So, here we have the U.S. Secretary of State refuting facts presented by the individual responsible for tracking and recording terrorism as a full time job. Because the secretary sees his primary responsibility to be endorsing a political agenda, rather than dealing with hard data gathered by experienced, hands-on professionals.

Similarly, as far as factual information’s concerned, many news agencies carried the story that Oklahoma Senator, James Inhofe, tossed a snowball in the Senate chamber Thursday, using the stunt to emphasize his long-held belief that climate change is “the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on the American people.”

Inhofe is the chair of the Senate’s Environment and Public Works Committee. After a blizzard blew through the southern states in recent days, reaching Washington D.C., he took advantage of the snow to make his symbolic point that extreme winter weather disproves global warming.

However, this isn’t the first time he’s done so. After a winter storm in 2010, he and his family built an igloo, naming it after Al Gore.

On another, and repeating matter, it seems that the Republican party may be using Carly Fiorina to front attacks on Bill Clinton’s wife.

National Journal reports that, “Unlike every other Republican presidential hopeful at CPAC, Fiorina is uniquely able to criticize Clinton without having to worry about cries of sexism. ‘This is not leadership,’ she said of Obama. ‘Nor is it leadership when Secretary Clinton asks what difference does it make when our embassy is deliberately attacked by terrorists and four Americans are murdered,’ Fiorina said. ‘It makes all the difference, Mrs. Clinton, and the required response has never come.’ … ‘She tweets about women’s rights in this country and takes money from governments that deny women the most basic human rights. She tweets about equal pay for women, but won’t answer basic questions about her own office’s pay standards’ [Fiorina said] ‘Hillary may like hashtags, but she does not know what leadership means.’”

And, if that wasn’t enough about Bill’s wife yesterday, an article in National Review adds: “From the very first moments of the terrorist attack on the U.S. compound in Benghazi on September 11, 2012, then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and her top aides were advised that the compound was under a terrorist attack. In fact, less than two hours into the attack, they were told that the al-Qaeda affiliate in Libya, Ansar al-Sharia, had claimed responsibility. These revelations and others are disclosed by a trove of e-mails and other documents pried from the State Department by Judicial Watch in a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit.”

Which means that there’s likely a reason for all the cash that the Clinton’s are raising all over the world, from any and all that'll give them a dime. Because the costs involved in buying all the ads and endorsements needed to cover up and smooth over the truth regarding Bill’s wife’s horrendous faults, weaknesses and incapability's are going to be an incredibly expensive proposition.

That’s it for today folks.

Adios
