BloggeRhythms 9/9/2013

KT McFarland, Fox News' National Security Analyst mentioned something this morning regarding Ronald Reagan that I’d forgotten but would make brilliant foreign policy today especially.

She noted that when president, Reagan drove the price of domestic oil so low that none was imported from anywhere else. That strategic move broke the financial back of the Soviet Union, among other enemies, and helped cause their demise as threats to us or anyone else.

After listening to KT and thinking about it, I realized how much damage misguided environmentalists have cost us. Not only via choking off economic growth due to exorbitant cots of fuel, but by enriching our Middle-Eastern enemies to boot. Because without our cash gorging their tills, those enemies couldn’t even feed themselves much less wage wars, fund terrorists, or build nuclear weapons.

So, when you stop to think about it, while bombing Syria with meaningless rockets, costing a couple of million a shot, won’t do a thing to dissuade Assad or anyone else, permitting oil development here will not only boost our economy through the roof, it will start turning enemy nations into vacant lots.

But then again, environmentalists will soon have to start changing their message anyway, because facts are eroding their erroneous position as noted by David Rose of the dailymail.co.uk/news, whose story today is headlined: “And now it's global COOLING! Record return of Arctic ice cap as it grows by 60% in a year.”

Mr. Rose writes that, “The Northwest Passage from the Atlantic to the Pacific has remained blocked by pack-ice all year. More than 20 yachts that had planned to sail it have been left ice-bound and a cruise ship attempting the route was forced to turn back.”

He further reports that, “Some eminent scientists now believe the world is heading for a period of cooling that will not end until the middle of this century – a process that would expose computer forecasts of imminent catastrophic warming as dangerously misleading.”

Its also been reported by many others for quite some time now that “global warming’s” been paused since 1997, which leads to me to try guessing what AlGore will do next. Maybe he can start selling fur coats and space heaters to Al Jazeera, if they have any money left.

That’s it for today folks.

Adios
