According to CNBC via Drudge, "CBO estimates that the ACA will reduce the total number of hours worked, on net, by about 1.5 to 2 percent during the period from 2017 to 2024, almost entirely because workers will choose to supply less labor—given the new taxes and other incentives they will face and the financial benefits some will receive.

The reduction in CBO's projections of hours worked represents a decline in the number of full-time-equivalent workers of about 2.0 million in 2017, rising to about 2.5 million in 2024."

Reading about this latest looming disaster wrought by the health care tax, caused me to go back and look up some information, which I found on CNNMoney, as follows:

Last year, ”The share of uninsured people decreased to 15.4%, from 15.7%.”

So, what that means is that, prior to the health care tax, almost 85% of the population already had satisfactory coverage and now, a significant number of them have either seen their plans change for the worse, rise in cost or be canceled altogether.

Furthermore, at the same time, “The share of people relying on the government for health insurance edged up slightly to 32.6%, while the growth in overall Medicaid slowed, however, likely because the poverty rate also remained steady at 15%.”

Consequently, while the uninsured and poverty rate are almost exactly the same, the government which already covers almost a third of the population, has now burdened the economy with a new tax that is hampering growth, raising costs and increasing un and under employment.

Therefore, it’s doubtful that any enemy could devise a plan that could do that much damage to the nation if they tried for a hundred years. But, they don’t even have to try, because the administration’s doing it for them.

That’s it for today folks.

Adios
