Today’s items serve to underscore that if Trump can somehow control the personality traits that continually diminish his image, the upcoming election should fall right into his lap. And that's because the current administration's imploding quite rapidly due to issues of a major concern to the voting public.

To begin, Jeff Cox @cnbc.com reports that, nonfarm payrolls increased only 156,000 for the month according to figures the Bureau of Labor Statistics released on Friday. Economists surveyed by Reuters had expected 176,000 new jobs.

The unemployment rate ticked up to 5 percent, though it was expected to to hold at 4.9 percent.

As reported here quite often in the past, roughly two years ago the administration changed the benchmark reporting criteria to include only those out of work for 30 days or less. Every previous administration reported a broader measure of unemployment that includes those who have stopped looking for jobs as well as those working part-time for economic reasons. That rate was unchanged at 9.7 percent.

In contrast, under George W. Bush, that rate stayed below 10% for the vast majority of his presidency, and didn't go above 12% until the last three months of his second term.

Dissecting the numbers further, Susan Jones @cnsnews.com, reports that: “94,184,000 Americans were not in the labor force in September, 207,000 fewer than in August, and the nation's labor force participation rate, which began its steady downward trend in 2000, showed little change last month, rising a tenth of a point to 62.9 percent compared with August.

“The labor force participation rate started rising in the early 1970s as more women entered the labor force. It reached a record high of 67.3 percent, seasonally adjusted, in the beginning of 2000. And it dropped to a 38-year low of 62.4 percent in September 2015. Since then, it has never gone higher than 63.0 percent.”

As a reminder, in 1978 Jimmy Carter was presiding over one of the worst economy’s in the nation’s history, with his performance being quite similar to the one taking place now.

On another issue favoring Trump, a congressman this morning on the Fox business channel confirmed that 29 states are moving ahead with a lawsuit against the administration and the EPA for overstepping their authority on climate regulation.

Back on February 10th, Bobby Magill @climatecentral.org, wrote: “In January, after a federal appeals court declined to block the plan, 24 states and the coal industry asked the Supreme Court to stop it from taking effect while they challenge it in lower courts. The states, led by North Dakota, West Virginia and Texas, believe the Environmental Protection Agency does not have the authority under the Clean Air Act to regulate emissions from coal-fired power plants.

“The Supreme Court, by a 5-4 majority, issued a one-page order granting the states’ request. It puts  the Clean Power Plan on hold while it is reviewed by the federal appeals court in Washington, D.C.” An appeals court hearing is set for June 2.

That item leads right into an article by Marc Morano @climatedepot.com, who writes that: “Speaking to supporters in Tampa, Hillary Clinton says climate change is “wreaking havoc on communities across America.” Clinton warns that Hurricane Hermine “is not the last one that’s going to hit Florida given what’s happening in the climate.” She says, “When it comes to protecting our country against natural disasters and the threat of climate change, once again, Donald Trump is totally unfit and unqualified”.

Yet, according to statistics compiled by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) Hurricane Research Division, which keeps data on all the hurricanes that have struck the U.S. since 1851, yesterday “marked a record 127 months since a major hurricane has made landfall in the continental United States.”

And then, simply as a matter of clarity, how on Earth, or anywhere else, is Trump supposed to protect our nation against “natural disasters”? However, since the premise is totally ridiculous, the woman needs either new speech writers or remedial English and logic lessons.

Expanding the subject further, @dailycaller.com on October 26, 2015 it was reported that: “Scientists project fewer hurricanes in the future that may be slightly stronger. Research also suggests that even though hurricanes may become slightly stronger, wind patterns will drive them further out to sea, meaning fewer storms hitting Americans.

“I would characterize ‘mainstream’ science on global warming and hurricanes as thinking that there will be a slight decrease in frequency of storms but a slight increase in intensity on a global scale,” climate scientist Chip Knappenberger with the libertarian Cato Institute told The Daily Caller News Foundation Thursday.”

Thus, while scientists predict fewer hurricanes overall, Bill Clinton’s wife believes that Trump has individual power great enough to create them anyway. Which should serve as a major endorsement of him. Because if he can single-handily change the weather here, just imagine what he can do to the nation’s enemies if he gets angry.

Then, lastly on the subject, Alex Newman @thenewamerican.com, titled today’s column: “Global Warming Satellite Data Gets Suspicious Makeover”

“Facing an accelerating implosion of faith in the anthropogenic (man-made) global warming (AGW) theory due in part to satellite data showing more than 18 years of no warming — the great “pause” or “hiatus,” as some put it — one of the satellite data sets has now been adjusted to show a slight increase in temperatures over the last two decades.

“However, experts and scientists warned climate alarmists to cool it — especially because the “adjusted” data is now significantly different than other, unmanipulated temperature data sets. There appear to be big problems with the adjustments, too, experts in satellite temperature data said.”

So, in typical fashion for those living on questionable theoretical premises and finding support from gullible politico's, steps have to be taken to evade the reality of verifiable contradiction. And, as so often happens, if the facts don’t support the circumstances then the “facts” have to be  altered accordingly.

The circumstance was put succinctly many years ago by Dean Martin when he said: “If you’re going to hit me with logic, I don’t want to chit-cat.”

Bringing us to today’s update on Bill Clinton’s wife.

Catherine Herridge and Pamela K. Browne @FoxNews.com, write: “Buried in the 189 pages of heavily redacted FBI witness interviews from the Hillary Clinton email investigation are details of yet another mystery -- about two missing “bankers boxes” filled with the former secretary of state’s emails.

“The interviews released earlier this month, known as 302s, also reveal the serious allegation that senior State Department official Patrick Kennedy applied pressure to subordinates to change the classified email codes so they would be shielded from Congress and the public.

“In the documents provided by [the Kendall] law firm, the witness told the FBI they were “unable to locate any of her emails from January-April 2009.” This timeframe is crucial as it covers the start of Clinton’s term as secretary of state and when she set up a private server for all government business, in turn skirting public records laws.

“In the same Aug. 18, 2015, interview, on page 42, the State Department witness also told the FBI there was a deliberate effort to change sensitive Clinton emails bearing the “B(1)” code -- used in the Freedom of Information Act review process to identify classified information -- to the category of “B-5.” That category covers Executive Branch deliberations, “interagency or intra-agency communications including attorney client privileges,” and makes material exempt from public release.

“Over five pages of the single-spaced summary notes, the witness, whose name is redacted, alleges Clinton’s team which included Undersecretary for Management Patrick Kennedy played classification games to confuse and obfuscate the formal FOIA review process.”

Thus, while Bill's wife’s supporters cling to the continuing theme of blaming mounting evidence of criminality as merely typical political smearing by Republican adversaries, the facts indicate culpability. Leading to the question of how and why those supporters willingly let themselves be considered suspect themselves. And that’s truly a shame because, the president of the United States of America should be one who’s far above all that.

Bringing up the ongoing question again: Bernie Sanders, Joe Biden, Jerry Brown, and Starbucks chairman and CEO, Howard Schultz, are you guys are reading this?

Today’s daily results @rasmussenreports.com, show that Trump’s gained another point on his rival, “in the wake of Tuesday night’s vice presidential debate.”

“The latest Rasmussen Reports White House Watch telephone and online survey of Likely U.S. Voters finds Trump with a 43% to 41% lead over Clinton. Yesterday, he was ahead 42% to 41%.”

Considering the polling data, another item, this one from FoxNews.com, illustrates why the Democrat candidate is floundering. And that’s because, she has no agenda of her own, is following a failing POTUS and has absolutely nothing material to talk about.

According to the Fox article this morning: “Supporters for Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and Sen. Harry Reid attacked Donald Trump after the Republican presidential nominee told his supporters about the “correct” way to pronounce Nevada.

“Trump, during a rally Wednesday in Reno, insisted the correct way to pronounce the name of the Silver State was “Neh-VAH-da.” He declared that “nobody says it the other way.”

“Clinton supporters and Reid, a Democrat from Nevada, both used the moment to assail Trump.

“American Bridge immediately put up a video declaring that Trump was “looking like an idiot” for getting the name wrong.

“A statement from Reid declared that Trump’s stop in Reno was “disastrous.”

"If Donald Trump wants to come down from the penthouse his daddy bought him to lecture us on how to say Nevada, he could at least pronounce it correctly,” Reid said in a statement. "Instead, Trump told us we pronounce the name of our state wrong minutes before he refused to take a position on Yucca Mountain.”

Thus, if the campaign on the Democrat side has come down to the spelling of the name of a state, they’ve picked the wrong one to get upset about, as usual. Because, while its true that voters certainly are concerned about a whole agenda of states, and so is Trump, they involve a different application of the word.

What voters want to see changed for the better are the “states” of the economy, employment, border control, immigration, foreign policy, health care, education, and taxation to name a few issues that are presently in the worst “state” they’ve been in since Jimmy Carter was POTUS.

All of which means that, if Trump can put the nation back on the track to recovery, most voters aren’t really going to care a whit about how he pronounces “success,” or anything else.

On another matter, it’s now becoming clearer as to why the POTUS pushed for giving up control of the Internet to an international body last week.

Paul Bedard @washingtonexaminer.com, reports today about a similar issue in an article titled: “FEC war: Dems reject call to protect Internet news, talk radio from regs”

Mr. Bedard writes: “In the latest partisan escalation on the Federal Election Commission, a top Democratic commissioner has ripped a Republican commissioner's bid to protect books, radio and Internet media from regulation as "pitiful."

“Ann Ravel, a former FEC chairwoman, joined other Democrats at a meeting this month to block Republican Lee Goodman's proposal to explicitly expand the "press exemption" from regulations to books, satellite radio and Internet-based news media.

“In pushing his plan aside, Ravel said that she didn't have enough time to consider Goodman's proposal.

“Goodman noted that the proposal has been under consideration for a while.”

At the core of the situation is the reality that, as feared by Republicans: “FEC Democrats are trying to regulate conservative media, especially news outlets and news aggregators like the Drudge Report that are online.”

As a practical reality, however, Republicans are known to be quite creative and resourceful, which is how conservative media and sources like Drudge arose in the first place. So, they’ll likely find another way to inform and educate each other. On the other hand though, most Democrats can’t even read to begin with. So the net gain of the regulation for them will be close to zero.

Bringing us to today’s update on Bill Clinton’s wife.

This one comes from Bill Gertz @freebeacon.com, who disclosed that: “Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton sought to arrange Pentagon and State Department consulting contracts for her daughter’s friend, prompting concerns of federal ethics rules violations.

“Clinton in 2009 arranged meetings between Jacqueline Newmyer Deal, a friend of Chelsea Clinton and head of the defense consulting group Long Term Strategy Group, with Pentagon officials that involved contracting discussions, according to emails from Clinton’s private server made public recently by the State Department. Clinton also tried to help Deal win a contract for consulting work with the State Department’s director of policy planning, according to the emails.

“Deal is a close friend of Chelsea Clinton, who is vice chair of the Clinton Foundation. Emails between the two were included among the thousands recovered from a private email server used by the secretary of state between 2009 and 2013. Chelsea Clinton has described Deal as her best friend. Both Clintons attended Deal’s 2011 wedding.”

So, when items like this one are added to those that have already proven considerable breaches of national security by Bill’s wife, along with abuses of power for personal gain, one has to wonder just how damaging the information was in the other 30,000 intentionally destroyed emails. Along with the dozen or so acid-washed servers also conveniently irrecoverable.

The story contains significant, well-researched detail. Here’s a link: http://freebeacon.com/national-security/clinton-sought-pentagon-state-department-contracts-chelseas-friend/

It also calls for the continuing question to be asked again: Bernie Sanders, Joe Biden, Jerry Brown, and Starbucks chairman and CEO, Howard Schultz, are you guys are reading this?

Having skipped the vice-presidential debate last night, today’s recaps indicate that was a wise choice. What will likely be most remembered, if anything at all, is that “both running mates had their share of interruptions Tuesday night. An analysis by FiveThirtyEight said Kaine logged more than 70 interjections and interruptions, while Pence had more than 40.”

As suggested here yesterday, a subject quickly pounced upon by Mike Pence was Bill Clinton’s recent ObamaCare criticism. According to FoxNews.com: “Pence tried to draw a contrast between former President Clinton’s striking comments about the health care overhaul and his wife’s platform. Saying Kaine and Hillary Clinton want “more of the same.” Adding that: “Even President Bill Clinton calls ObamaCare a crazy plan. But Hillary Clinton and Tim Kaine want to build on ObamaCare.”

As far as the debate itself is concerned, an analysis by FiveThirtyEight said: “The vice presidential debates rarely have a big impact on the race for the White House, and it's unclear whether Tuesday's feisty faceoff will make a dent in the numbers as the candidates at the top of the ticket prepare for their second debate, this Sunday.” Which pretty much sums up the waste of time that took place last night.

As far as the presidential contest itself is concerned, rasmussenreports.com via Drudge, reflects a turnaround for Trump whereas: “The latest Rasmussen Reports White House Watch survey shows Trump with 42% support among Likely U.S. Voters to Hillary Clinton’s 41%. Yesterday, it was the other way around, Clinton 42%, Trump 41%, and the day before Clinton had a 43% to 40% advantage. This is the first time Trump has been ahead since before the first presidential debate last week."

And then, Trump got another major boost today. According to Juliet Eilperin  @washingtonpost.com: “Former vice president Al Gore will start campaigning for Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, according to individuals briefed on the plan, in an effort to mobilize young voters who see climate change as a key issue.

“The decision by Gore to plunge into the campaign during the final weeks shows the extent to which Democrats remain concerned that Clinton has yet to connect with many millennials, some of whom are backing third-party candidates this year. The former vice president, a climate activist, will speak about not just Clinton’s plan to address global warming, but also the idea that voting for an independent presidential candidate could deliver the White House to Republicans in the same way that Ralph Nader’s candidacy helped undermine his presidential bid in 2000.”

The vast majority of comments following the article were particularly negative toward Gore, his overblown self-importance and self-serving, self-enriching crusades. Among them, reader, Scooter Woods, summed up Gore’s value to the campaign perfectly by commenting: “Can't he just call the five people who think he matters and tell them to support Hillary?”

Which brings us to today’s update on Bill Clinton’s wife.

Yesterday the Heat Street Staff @heatst.com/politics, noted that: “Gender has emerged as a key question in the 2016 presidential race, as Tim Kaine eschewed gendered language tonight to promise that he will be Hillary Clinton’s “right-hand person,” as opposed to right-hand man.”

The short article then presented a series of reader web-postings offering similar observations regarding the gender topic. One of which included the following photo.

In this case, pictures truly do save a thousand words whereas voters can glimpse for themselves what to expect if Bill’s wife becomes the nation’s commander-in-chief. What particularly comes to mind is the question of whether the same nine assistants will drag her around when she reviews the troops at military ceremonies. Or will she simply try to hobble down the rows of physically fit warriors by herself?

Perhaps that’s a question that can be answered best by Bernie Sanders, Joe Biden, Jerry Brown, and Starbucks chairman and CEO, Howard Schultz, if those guys are reading this.

That's it for today folks.

BloggeRhythms

In an article this morning @FoxNews.com, Trump “dismissed a published copy of an IRS filing that showed he used the U.S. tax code to take a nearly $1 billion operating loss in 1995, saying Monday the news media is “obsessed” with a decades’ old return and that he, in fact, “brilliantly used the law” to salvage his real estate empire.”

Trump's position is clearly within the realm of what any sophisticated business operator would do, whereas grasping current tax code is part of managerial responsibility. And the fact that he applied that code to his advantage is appropriately admirable. However, he should have left it at that.

There’s no need for him to go on to pat himself on the back by adding that he “brilliantly used the law,” because all that’s required to accomplish what he did is an ability to hire an attorney that can read basic English.

As a practical matter, however: “Trump's reported loss was purportedly the result of his Atlantic City hotels suffering amid the resort’s declining casino-gambling industry, a failed airline venture and the purchase of the Plaza Hotel on Central Park in Manhattan.” And that’s where Trump’s real opportunity to help himself really centers.

Because instead of bragging like a ten year old in a school yard, he could simply make a valid, professional, comparison to others. Such as the POTUS, whereas when he took office in January 2009, the total national debt stood at $10.6 trillion. Which means the debt will have very nearly doubled during his eight years in office, and there is much more debt ahead with the abandonment of “sequestration” spending caps enacted in 2011.

And thus, the loss of a billion is a drop in the bucket compared to an administration that threw 10 trillion taxpayer dollars out the proverbial window due to incapability, mismanagement and fiduciary irreponsibility.

In the meantime, all of the back and forth mudslinging doesn't seem to be affecting Trump very much negatively at all in current polls.

As reported @rasmussenreports.com, this morning: “The latest Rasmussen Reports White House Watch national telephone and online survey of Likely U.S. Voters shows Clinton with 42% support and Trump with 41%.

“Eighty-three percent (83%) of voters now say they are certain how they will vote, and Clinton has a statistically insignificant 48% to 47% lead among this group.”

However, while the majority of voters claim they’ve already decided: “Among the voters who still may change their minds, it’s Trump 31%, Clinton 27%, Johnson 32% and Stein 10%.”

Which means that the advantage overall, currently belongs to Trump.

That probability is confirmed once again by the USC Dornsife/LA Times Presidential Election Daybreak Poll today which shows Trump at 46.6% and his rival at 42.7%.

And then, an almost hidden sidebar from yesterday’s backfiring of the New York Times attempt to smear Trump is a truly laughable comeuppance for the continually diminishing leftist news outlet.

According to Wesley Pruden @washingtontimes.com: “There may be a rest of the story. Federal law prohibits publishing an unauthorized tax return, with offenders risking five years in federal prison. Mr. Baquet and his newspaper can seek refuge in the First Amendment, and probably will, but newspapers and the men and women who edit them get no immunity in the Constitution for breaking the law, and the Donald has mean and expensive lawyers, too, and an appetite for litigation.”

And, should that happen, it would surely be the perfect squelch. Whereas, if a suit were lost to Trump, New York Times personnel would be required to pay restitution which could then be used by Trump to help pay off the losses the newspaper was so gleeful about in the first place.

Bringing us to today’s update on Bill Clinton’s wife.

According to her website, the last time Bill’s wife spoke about Obamacare was January 6, 2016. At that time, she confirmed her continual belief in government provided healthcare, including the program currently in place, as follows:

“I've fought for quality, affordable health care my entire career. As president, I'll defend the Affordable Care Act, build on its successes, and go even further to reduce costs. My plan will crack down on drug companies charging excessive prices, slow the growth of out-of-pocket costs, and provide a new credit to those facing high health expenses.

“What we have to do, I think, is defend the Affordable Care Act and fix it,” Clinton said in a campaign video Tuesday.

Reading about her support for the program led to the thought that, whereas both Clinton’s lead separate private lives, perhaps they don’t always know each others positions on various subjects. Because, in this case, Bill presented a totally different opinion about the ACA than that of his spouse.

According to FoxNews.com yesterday: “Bill Clinton, on the campaign trail for Hillary Clinton, told voters in Michigan on Monday that the legislation has created a “crazy system” where millions more people have health care but those unable to qualify for subsidies are getting “killed.”

“The people … out there busting it, sometimes 60 hours a week, wind up with their premiums doubled and their coverage cut in half,” Clinton said. “It’s the craziest thing in the world.”

“The comments come as Republican and Democratic administrations at the state level all grapple with fresh complications from the law, as insurers threaten to leave the ObamaCare exchanges amid financial concerns and customers face the prospect of rising premiums for the plans available.

“Clinton’s comments in Michigan follow officials in nearby Minnesota recently agreeing to huge price hikes in order to convince insurers to stay. Commerce Commissioner Mike Rothman announced Friday that individual market plans could raise rates as high as 67 percent next year. The jump in cost follows this year’s hike of 14 percent to 49 percent.”

So, here again, Bill’s wife is caught between her public utterings and the truth of a matter, which her own husband finds fault with. Following right on the heels of her attempt to degrade Trump for applying the same Federal tax relief loss applications that she did.

All of which confirms the continual uncertainty of her qualifications to be a leader of anything, much less the greatest nation on Earth. It also brings up the ongoing question again: Bernie Sanders, Joe Biden, Jerry Brown, and Starbucks chairman and CEO, Howard Schultz; are you guys reading this?

That's it for today folks.

In its typical, inimitable fashion, the New York Times has once again significantly mislead the public. This time in regard to Trump’s tax avoidance. However, in this case, they apply the same very procedures whenever needed by themselves.

To set the background, the opening line of the “Tax Preparer Resume Objective,” @livecareer.com’s website says: “Just as taxpayers trust you to ensure they aren’t audited by the IRS and that they pay as few taxes as legally possible, hiring managers trust you to be able to adequately show you’re qualified for a position as a tax preparer.” A confirmation that just about every citizen earning income desires minimization of financial obligations and expenditures as legally possible.

As a statistical matter, according to Catey Hill, Editor @marketwatch.com: “An estimated 45.3% of American households — roughly 77.5 million — will pay no federal individual income tax, according to data for the 2015 tax year from the Tax Policy Center, a nonpartisan Washington-based research group. (Note that this does not necessarily mean they won’t owe their states income tax.)

“Roughly half pay no federal income tax because they have no taxable income, and the other roughly half get enough tax breaks to erase their tax liability, explains Roberton Williams, a senior fellow at the Tax Policy Center.

“On average, those in the bottom 40% of the income spectrum end up getting money from the government.

Therefore, since about 25% of citizens pay no taxes because they get enough tax breaks to erase their tax liability,” Trump’s by no means alone in his desire to maximize whatever he can from his occupational efforts.

As far as the general public’s attitude toward taxes is concerned, assuring lawful compliance has become an enormous enterprise. An article from The Tax Preparation Industry website notes that: “Tax preparation is BIG business – there were 300k people employed at 109k firms in 2012 - generating $9 billion in revenue in 2012. The industry grew over 2% from 2010-2015, and is expected to speed up the pace of growth. Revenues of $11 billion are forecast for 2018. Tax preparation is unusual in that it provides a service to assist with a process that legally every American is required to do: submit an income tax return. Because it is required, tax preparation tends to be recession resistant.”

It’s also a very sure bet that all that hard-earned money wasn't spent by employed Americans to insure that they gave every dollar possible to the IRS.

And then, in an article in which Chris Christie dismissed Trump’s tax status as unimportant, the Trump campaign correctly noted that the issue involves perfectly legal handling of his personal taxes. It then added: “Mr. Trump is a highly-skilled businessman who has a fiduciary responsibility to his business, his family and his employees to pay no more tax than legally required," the statement went on. "That being said, Mr. Trump has paid hundreds of millions of dollars in property taxes, sales and excise taxes, real estate taxes, city taxes, state taxes, employee taxes and federal taxes, along with very substantial charitable contributions."

All of which serves to underline that before selectively picking issues with which to attempt vilifying those it despises, sources such as the New York Times ought to do at least a modicum of homework to avoid self-embarrassment.

Especially because, the Times itself is perfectly happy to legally minimize the amount of money it pays to the government. According to Jeffrey Dorfman @forbes.com: “More recently, for tax year 2014, The New York Times paid no taxes and got an income tax refund of $3.5 million even though they had a pre-tax profit of $29.9 million in 2014. In other words, their post-tax profit was higher than their pre-tax profit. The explanation in their 2014 annual report is, “The effective tax rate for 2014 was favorably affected by approximately $21.1 million for the reversal of reserves for uncertain tax positions due to the lapse of applicable statutes of limitations.” If you don’t think it took fancy accountants and tax lawyers to make that happen, read the statement again.”

Which for Trump, equates to the perfect squelch.

Moving along, a FB friend posted this one today:

Which brings us to today’s update on Bill Clinton’s wife, who apparently agrees wholeheartedly with Trump on taxes, regardless of her public attempts to discredit him.

Tyler Durden @zerohedge.com titled his article today: “Clinton Campaign Admits Hillary Used Same Tax Avoidance "Scheme" As Trump”

Mr. Durden quotes Bill's wife as saying that Trump "apparently got to avoid paying taxes for nearly two decades—while tens of millions of working families paid theirs."

“However, a look back at Hillary Clinton's tax returns from 2015 (here), proudly displayed by the campaign proving she has nothing to hide - shows something awkward on page 17...

“While not on the scale of Trump's business "operating loss", Hillary Clinton - like many 'wealthy' individuals is taking advantage of a legal scheme to use historical losses to avoid paying current taxes.

“As Bloomberg notes, this federal tax break is among the wealthy's most used avoidance schemes...”

What’s also interesting is that while Bill’s wife focuses on “millions of working families” that paid their taxes, how many of those families lost $909 million like Trump? She herself lost a mere $699,540 and wrote it off just like he did.

So, once again we have continuing evidence of misquotes, inaccuracy's and constant double-standards from Bill’s wife and a complicit MSM. Bringing up the ongoing question once more: Bernie Sanders, Joe Biden, Jerry Brown, and Starbucks chairman and CEO, Howard Schultz; are you guys reading this?

Two items in today’s news provide insight into underlying factors that will likely have significant effect on the upcoming presidential election.

James Pheby of AFP @yahoo.com via Drudge, writes about trends in the UK and Europe where voters face significant problems much like those here in the US, and are finally doing something about it.

According to Mr. Pheby, political analysts say that Britain’s venerable Labour Party, founded in 1900, faces electoral oblivion despite Jeremy Corbyn’s victory last week over a centrist MP angry at his part in the shock Brexit vote.

The party’s “dismal standing in the opinion polls is mirrored across Europe.

“As with Labour, Spain's Socialist Party is in the grip of a fratricidal war over the performance of its leader, Pedro Sanchez, at a time of national crisis.

“In Germany, the Social Democratic Party has lost half its members since 1998.

“In France, President Francois Hollande is the most unpopular president in his country's modern history and would be routed if he stands in next year's presidential elections, according to opinion polls.

“Centre-left parties recently lost power in Denmark, a stronghold of social democracy, and registered their worst-ever results in Finland and Poland. In Greece, support for the once dominant Pasok has plunged to just six percent.

"Social democracy is a shadow of itself," German political analyst Albrecht von Lucke said on NDR television channel. "We are dealing with decline of historic proportions."

The major reasons for the huge decline in popularity stems from globalisation and immigration which “has become a lightning rod for anger, with older manual workers blaming an influx of foreign labour for job insecurity and lower wages.

“Put together, these have savaged the credibility of the "third-way" politics championed by Bill Clinton, Tony Blair and other Social Democrats once ruling Europe whose models “embraced capitalism, globalisation and vast public spending programmes to vacuum up votes among both the comfortable middle classes and industrial heartlands during the booming 1990s and early 2000s.”

Mr. Pheby’s next point’s the one that compares almost precisely to the political atmosphere here in the US: “Right across Europe, you've had a trend for new parties to set up with an activist base," said Patrick Dunleavy of the London School of Economics (LSE), citing Podemos in Spain, Italy's Five-Star movement and Syriza in Greece.

"There's been a tendency for parties that were much more digitally organised, and much more aiming at recruiting a mass membership." Which is very much like the approach currently taken by Trump.

One of the best analyses of the situation came from a reader, Neil, who wrote: “The globalist left has become arrogant and pushed too far, they forgot that their real agendas were realized through deceit, manipulation and propaganda.

“You can sell most people on wild fantasies of a utopian future but when decade after decade when their standard of living doesn't rise and neither do the sea levels but their taxes astronomically do, (yes I mean the man made global warming myth) while the elites wealth skyrockets and they look down their uplifted noses at you and sneer, people start to see.

“The final straw is of course the arrogant globalist left's all in push with the rapefugees , you can't flood people's homelands with millions of their natural enemies, let those enemies rob, rape, murder and generally brutalize the natives, while the elites who live in their protected enclaves along with their media/press allies, first ignore, downplay, even attempt to hide the crimes of the invaders from the victims...for long. In the globalist left's arrogance and frustration they call you xenophobes, fascists and for NOT embracing the madness.

“Make no mistake this isn't only about economics, not by a long shot, this is about people's very survival and even most sheep eventually realize they are in the line for the slaughter.

“The only question is it too late for Europe, for the UK, for the US?”

Though a bit long in the writing, Neil captured the subject quite well.

And then, as if to underline Neil’s point, there’s another piece from AFP @yahoo.com via Drudge regarding globalization.

“The US government on Saturday ended its formal oversight role over the internet, handing over management of the online address system to a global non-profit entity.

“The US Commerce Department announced that its contract had expired with the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers, which manages the internet's so-called "root zone."

“That leaves ICANN as a self-regulating organization that will be operated by the internet's "stakeholders" -- engineers, academics, businesses, non-government and government groups.

“The move is part of a decades-old plan by the US to "privatize" the internet, and backers have said it would help maintain its integrity around the world.

“US and ICANN officials have said the contract had given Washington a symbolic role as overseer or the internet's "root zone" where new online domains and addresses are created.

“But critics, including some US lawmakers, argued that this was a "giveaway" by Washington that could allow authoritarian regimes to seize control.”

In this case, while there may be very little real risk of “authoritarian regimes” seizing control of the Internet, there was no pressing need to let US contract lapse. Because, other than the appearance of being magnanimous toward the rest of the world, there was no rational purpose to cede authority to others. However, for this administration, “image” is all that’s ever mattered. Facts and substance very rarely, if ever, enter the picture.

Bringing us to today’s update on Bill Clinton’s wife, this one concerning Bernie Sanders.

Sanders defended Bill’s wife today as “the "superior" candidate for president, despite admitting that he was bothered by newly-leaked audio of her mocking his supporters.”

In an audio recording released Friday, she “could be heard telling donors at a fundraiser in February that Sanders supporters were "children of the Great Recession" who "live in their parents' basement[s]."

Asked during an appearance on CNN's "State of the Union" whether the audio bothered him, Sanders responded: "Well, look, of course it does."

"But we were in the middle of a campaign and … in some of the statements that I made about Hillary Clinton, you can see real differences," he quickly added. "So we have differences. There's nothing to be surprised about. That's what a campaign is all about."

In her defense Sanders said: "There are young people who went deeply into debt, worked very hard to get an education and yet they're getting out of school and can't find decent paying jobs," Sanders said, adding that "they are living in their parents' basement" and it will take a "political revolution" to fix that "major problem."

And then, Sanders issued one of the most inane premises of the entire campaign to date, saying: “This is what the message would be: take a hard look not at Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump," Sanders responded. "Take a hard look at the needs of the American people … and after you take a hard look at their positions on the issues, you will find that Clinton is far and away the superior candidate."

So, here we have Sanders in effect saying that Bill’s wife, who admittedly cannot and will not provide the additional benefits sought by her constituents although she’ll continue to lie about it, is still best for the “American people.” While on the other hand, It's Trump who's offered proven, economically sound, solutions.

And if that doesn’t make Sanders and his candidate of choice two of the biggest frauds that ever ran for the Oval Office, it would be hard to find something else that does. But that’s been the Democrats problem for years whereas their party is composed primarily of self-serving, incompetent hacks.

Which brings us back to the ongoing question. Because, although all these others are weasels themselves, they’re still half a step up from the current front-runner. Joe Biden, Jerry Brown, and Starbucks chairman and CEO, Howard Schultz; are you guys reading this?

That's it for today folks.

BloggeRhythms

On a day in which not much news is breaking, several articles illustrate that to typical Democrats, political victory’s importance is so great, they don’t care a whit about what kind of filth or scum represents them if they think they can win.

They also apparently believe that cheating and dishonesty during campaigning is not only acceptable, but lying when caught is quite admirable too.

In that regard, it was reported that Trump complained about audio issues inside the debate hall on Monday night. His claims were met with denial from the authorities, while his rival mocked his objections.

And now, today, FoxNews.com reports that: “The Commission on Presidential Debates admitted Friday there were indeed issues with Donald Trump’s audio at Monday’s debate – four days after the Republican nominee complained about sound issues inside the venue and was mocked for it by Hillary Clinton.

“Regarding the first debate, there were issues regarding Donald Trump's audio that affected the sound level in the debate hall,” the CPD said in a short statement Friday afternoon.

“Trump said there had been no issue with the microphone before the debate, and suggested a more sinister motive at play.

“I don’t want to believe in conspiracy theories of course, but it was much lower than hers and it was crackling,” he said.

“Clinton mocked the complaints at the time.

“Anybody who complains about the microphone is not having a good night,” she told reporters Tuesday”

Reading Bill Clinton’s wife’s comments demeaning Trump raises the thought as to whether or not she happens to be of the type that doesn’t ever learn from her own mistakes. Because in this case, once again she was not only quickly proven to be wrong, but brought her own lacking of good judgment back into play again.

And that was remindful of Marcus Tullius Cicero who said: 'Any man can make mistakes, but only an idiot persists in his error.”

Along the same lines of Bill’s wife consistently being caught red-handed as a liar, two other items form today’s update on her.

The first comes from Tyler Durden @zerohedge via Drudge and is titled: “In Hacked Fundraiser Recording, Hillary Mocks Bernie Supporters "Living In Their Parents’ Basement"

Mr. Durden begins: “The reason why the Trump campaign has been so eager to find transcripts and recordings of the private speeches Hillary Clinton has delivered during her extensive, lucrative speaking career, is because it is there that she reveals that rare glimpse into what she truly thinks, or at least what $250,000 per hour will get her to believe. One such example is a recently hacked recording of Hillary Clinton, where in a private conversation with campaign donors in February, Clinton distanced herself from progressive goals like “free college, free healthcare” and described her place on the political spectrum as spanning from the center-left to the center-right.

“But the punchline was what Hillary, who has been scrambling to secure the much-needed Millennial vote in recent weeks, truly thought about about the millions of young people whose vote she is trying to win: a diatribe of mockery, in which she describes the concept of a political revolution as a "false promise" which has attracted all these disillusioned and disheartened young people "living in their parents' basement." Does Hillary have anything to offer them? No, but she desperately needs their vote, even if behind the scenes at generously paid private functions, she mocks them in front of all those present.
“We should all be really understanding of that and should try to do the best we can not to be, you know, a wet blanket on idealism. We want people to be idealistic. We want them to set big goals... But those of us who understand this, who've worked in it know that it's a false promise. But I don't think you tell idealistic people, particularly young people that they've bought into a false promise.”
So, here we have a presidential candidate openly admitting that in the pursuit of votes, false promises are an integral part of her campaign. And, obviously, rather that telling those misguided younger voters the truth, she’ll simply disappoint them completely if ever elected. Yet, what’s even worse is that in reality she doesn’t care a whit about any of them or their problems, never did, and never will.

Then, on a recurring subject, Catherine Herridge and Pamela Brown @FoxNews.com, write today: “According to files released last Friday evening, [IT specialist Bryan] Pagliano worked to design and build the now-infamous server inside a room once used as part of Clinton’s campaign headquarters. On the street known as Washington’s power corridor, Pagliano even used computer remnants from Clinton’s failed 2008 presidential bid, where he had worked as an IT specialist.”

In a June 24 interview with the FBI, “Pagliano said it was longtime Clinton Foundation aide Justin Cooper who asked him to build the server “in the fall of 2008” and that Pagliano completed the work in early 2009.”

“After the server’s completion in the makeshift lab on K Street, Pagliano stated that he “rented a minivan and drove to Chappaqua New York to install the email server in the Clinton residence.”

“Cooper was interviewed three times -- once in 2015 and twice in 2016 -- and appeared before Congress. Pagliano was one of five people who received limited immunity from the Justice Department, has taken the Fifth and refused to testify before Congress.”

“Strikingly, Cooper also said in his March interview that Hillary Clinton “had Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF’s) in both her New York residence as well as her residence in the District of Columbia (DC).”

“In his last interview with the FBI in June, Cooper suddenly remembered there were also two identical iMac computers inside what were supposed to be tightly secured rooms used to review classified materials. The interview states, “Cooper recalled a personally-owned iMac computer in the Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) of both the Washington, DC and Chappaqua, NY residences of Hillary Clinton.”

“Cooper added he did not have the combination to open the SCIF and admitted: “The SCIF doors at both residences were not always secured.” This on its face is a direct violation of security protocol.”

So, here the consistency continues. In this case, Bill’s wife repeatedly, along with her supporters in the MSM, denies her possessing any knowledge, expertise or having the slightest capabilities in computer technology. Yet, going all the way back to her 2008 bid for the White House she relied on that technology to the extent of hiring an expert to build a private server for her.

All of which confirms once more the opening premise for today. That Democrats, and especially Bill’s wife, “apparently believe that cheating and dishonesty during campaigning is not only acceptable, but lying when caught is quite admirable too.”

And although they’re of the same party, but far less undesirable, the ongoing question is called for again: Bernie Sanders, Joe Biden, Jerry Brown, and Starbucks chairman and CEO, Howard Schultz; are you guys reading this?

That's it for today folks.
