BloggeRhythms

Whereas a theory of mine has been festering for quite some time now, the time’s come to put it on paper. Although doubtful that readers will find anything particularly brilliant or discover matter not seen elsewhere before, the overall rationale is approached from a slightly different direction.

Regardless of particular political persuasion or personal belief, if the truth be told by anyone with an IQ above single digits the Biden platform is undoubtedly the absolute opposite of anything and everything good for the nation. Some of the particularly ridiculous positions exist because they’re traditional of liberals while inclusion of others occurs simply because they’re in direct opposition to Trump.

One such anti-Trump tenet is Biden’s claim that “while he won’t tear down President Trump's much-touted wall along the United States’ southern border with Mexico, he also won’t continue construction of the barrier if he’s elected president in November.

Then in a June 21 post on Facebook “Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden says American taxpayers are obligated to pay for health care for an estimated 12 million immigrants in the U.S. illegally. Biden: "I think that anyone who is in a situation where they are in need of health care regardless of whether they are documented or undocumented, we have an obligation to see to that they're cared for."

“The immigration plan promises to reform the asylum system, surge humanitarian resources to the border, end Trump’s Muslim ban and review Temporary Protected Status for those who have fled a violent country. It would also end the Trump-declared “national emergency” being used to redirect federal dollars to build the border wall.

He “also pledges to reinstate the DACA program, which would immediately protect and expand opportunities for DREAM'ers — or adults who migrated to the U.S. as young children. He will also search for “all legal options” to protect their parents, a move activists have previously blamed him and Obama for initially causing family separation. Last week on the campaign trail, Biden said he would look to revive the PAPA program even though it was struck down by the court.

“However, it would require legislation to pave a pathway to citizenship for the 11 million undocumented people living in the United States.”

Then, in a much publicized decision it was announced that Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez will co-chair a task force on climate change, adding progressive credentials to the platform. Further fueling Biden support of the climate farce is that John Kerry will be the panel's co-chair, in a group that also includes Varshini Prakash, the executive director of the Sunrise Movement, the youth-led champions of the Green New Deal.

Other task forces will cover health care, the economy, criminal justice and education, include a lineup of progressive leaders and top Biden campaign aides and allies, such as Bernie Sanders who revealed plans to form the advisory panels when he dropped out of the presidential primary.

Then there’s former presidential candidate Beto O’Rourke — “who promised in a September debate to take away legally purchased assault rifles if elected." Biden recently "promised to name the Texan as his point man on gun control.”

To be sure all the bases are covered, Biden also promised on CNN that he will "completely shut down drilling for oil and natural gas on day one of his administration."

“Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden has unveiled a USD 2 trillion proposal to boost investment in clean energy and combat the global warming as he pledged to rejoin the historic Paris agreement on climate change if elected in the November elections.

He'd also focus on the top 1% of earners, those making more than $400,000 a year. Raising taxes on ordinary income above $400,000 by returning the top marginal rate to 39.6%—where it was before the TCJA lowered it to 37%. Other tax rates would stay the same.”

“As for businesses, Biden would raise the corporate tax rate from 21% to 28% and enact a 15% minimum “book tax”—a levy on income, net of expenses, for corporations with income of $100 million or more.”

Employing all of the above as background for today’s premise, it’s more than likely to assume that someone as politically astute as Nancy Pelosi certainly not only grasps the magnitude of harm the progressive agenda will do to her party, but that It’s doubtful any but the hard left would cast a favorable vote at the polls.

However, what if she sees this as a way to clean house? In Biden’s case, he may not truly be really aware of what the platform contains, but AOC, Ilhan Omar of Minnesota, Rashida Tlaib of Michigan and Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts continually press for an extremely progressive agenda, as does Elizabeth Warren.

And now, by allowing the radical left to gain party prominence, feigning ignorance, Pelosi will sit back as the nation’s electorate provides Trump with the hugest landslide in the nation’s history thereby rejecting the hard left altogether.

Which will permit Pelosi when it’s over, using the tremendous loss as proof, to pick up whatever pieces remain of her former party and start all over again employing more centrist traditional positions as the hard core left disintegrates and disappears, just as she expected all along.

That’s it for today folks.

 Adios
