BloggeRhythms

I write often about Bill Clinton’s wife because, frankly, the premise of riding a husband’s coattails for personal gain repulses me entirely. Not only because the concept makes no sense, but I’ve also experienced the same kind of scenario in business. And the assumption that simply because one is wed to a dynamic, seasoned, highly qualified performer is all that’s needed for success is absolutely ridiculous.

When a proven leader's replaced for any reason at all, what’s needed to sustain is an equal, or better performer, not the person the departee slept with occasionally.

However, in Willy’s case, hardly a day goes by where evidence doesn’t arise proving his wife’s vocational incapability. Which means that two years from now, if she’s still in the presidential race, the list of her failures will likely be immeasurable.

Today’s huge miscue comes from The Daily Beast, as follows: “The State Department under Hillary Clinton fought hard against placing the al Qaeda-linked militant group Boko Haram on its official list of foreign terrorist organizations for two years. And now, lawmakers and former U.S. officials are saying that the decision may have hurt the American government’s ability to confront the Nigerian group that shocked the world by abducting hundreds of innocent girls.”

However, in true Clinton fashion, “On Wednesday, Clinton said that the abduction of the girls by Boko Haram was ‘abominable, it’s criminal, it’s an act of terrorism and it really merits the fullest response possible, first and foremost from the government of Nigeria.”

And here’s the clincher: “Clinton said that as Secretary of State she had numerous meetings with Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan and had urged the Nigerian government to do more on counterterrorism. What Clinton didn’t mention was that her own State Department refused to place Boko Haram on the list of foreign terrorist organizations in 2011, after the group bombed the UN headquarters in Abuja. The refusal came despite the urging of the Justice Department, the FBI, the CIA, and over a dozen Senators and Congressmen.”

So, add this one to the totally inept handling of the Benghazi raid and the picture of Bill’s wife’s incompetence develops further. Which makes one wonder even more every day, as to why Dem’s in particular don’t care a whit about their favorite's vocational competence, letting themselves get blindsided by self-serving con artists who never deliver any promises made.

Then, one more quick note from Fox News on-line: “Despite doomsday warnings from the White House and lawmakers on both sides that hundreds of thousands would lose their jobs as a result of the sequester, it turns out the budget cuts have only led to one job being lost among 23 federal agencies.”

Since that item speaks for itself,

That’s it for today folks.

Adios
