BloggeRhythms 11/11/2012

While the shock of the election results still has many folks reeling, I keep giving the matter more thought and believe I see a clear picture slowly forming. And one of the things that’s most important is how the electorate divided into two almost equal parts.

On one side sits a group that includes those who are the nation’s most successful economically. Business owners, high-earners, investors, entrepreneurs and also payers of almost all of the taxes of all types that keep government’s operating at every level, be it local, state or national.

Then, on the other hand is the half that does nothing but take, and survives on the efforts of those who do. And therefore, if push actually came to shove, the productive  types don’t need the others at all. What’s more, if government's had to depend on only those with their hands out, they’d quickly disappear altogether. Consequently, I think the nation’s political  future rests on who needs who most.

So, although I have no idea what form a revolt will take, I’m rather certain that one will happen between economic winners and losers. Because I firmly believe that this nation isn’t the same as those in Europe, or anywhere else in the world, where government's divide the spoils of winners for redistribution to losers. Our society is built on a totally different premise which prevents success to no one, however it does demand that if you want something, then go out and earn it yourself.

Unfortunately for the incumbent though, the concept of work is one I believe he knows nothing about altogether, so he’s going to have to learn the hard way when taxpayers unite, refusing to let the imbalance go on. And that’s why, although he won the election I don’t think anyone who really counts cares a whit. Because his support group is made up of empty wallets, while those with all the money don’t need him nor care about him at all.

That’s it for today folks.

Adios
