Fox News.com reports that “The president is still grappling with the surge of illegal immigrant children and families along the border. Earlier in the day, Obama sent a letter to congressional leaders asking for more flexibility on that front, seeking increased powers to send unaccompanied children from Central America back from the U.S. border to the countries they're trying to flee.”

Additionally, he “also asked for increased penalties for people who smuggle immigrants who are vulnerable, such as children. And he is asking Congress for emergency money that would, among other things, help conduct "an aggressive deterrence strategy focused on the removal and repatriation of recent border crossers." Obama's letter to Boehner, House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell says the administration is confronting the influx with a coordinated response on both sides of the border.”

Reading the preceding would lead one to believe that the incumbent’s finally woken up to realize that his obstructionist attitude toward preventing illegal immigration is causing huge problems, is a threat to the nation and, as long last, must be stopped.

However, in another Fox item today, this one from Chris Stirewalt, we learn that “Obama is putting into effect a long-promised threat to use executive action to grant residency to some of the millions in the country illegally. Even as the court’s rebuke on ObamaCare rules was still echoing off the marble steps, Obama stepped out to announce that he and Attorney General Eric Holder will “identify additional actions my administration can take on our own within my existing legal authorities to do what Congress refuses to do and fix as much of our immigration system as we can.”

Consequently, the only rational conclusion to be reached is that the entire immigration issue is nothing more than a political ploy the incumbent uses for personal, and perhaps party, gain. Which means that the problems caused for border states, outrageous costs to taxpayer’s, and huge risks to national security have no meaning whatsoever, because all that counts for the current president is seeking the largest number of votes.

Next on the list is an article from washingtontimes.com today, which clearly confirms conclusions posted here for the past four years regarding Bill Clinton’s wife. And, what’s most interesting is that even some on the left are finally waking up to what’s been obvious about her to anyone with a grain of common sense.

Wesley Pruden writes that: “[She] needs a conscience transplant, and she needs it now. Her book tour is in a shambles, the fate of her $14 million advance from her publisher is marooned somewhere in limbo. She’s under 50 percent approval for the first time in the presidential polling for 2016, and, scariest of all, she’s having to call on Bubba for help. She knows better than to become merely “a wife of,” but 2014 is beginning to smell like 2008, and she’s Miss Inevitability once more. This is deja vu all over again.”

Now, while all of this has been noted here as it happened, Mr. Pruden adds, “Some of the learned pundits, who only yesterday were writing about “the five reasons why [she’s] a lock for the White House,” are writing now about “five reasons why [she] won’t run.” The budding consensus is that (1) she’s just not very good at politics; (2) there’s no “fire in the tummy”; (3) who wants to clean up after Barack Obama, anyway; (4) the country wants real change; and (5) another round of “Clinton, Bush, Clinton” with children of both families waiting in the wings, is thrilling nobody.”

Thus, while using rather lame excuses to justify her potential decision not to run in 2014, nonetheless these “learned pundits” have reached the same conclusion continually reached right here in years of prior entry's: It’s very possible she’s simply not electable.

Then further along in the text, a point was made that’s also been mentioned here over and over, most recently about the outrageous fees charged for a graduation speech at UNLV.

Mr. Pruden notes that “The Clintons, him and her, are revealed as money grubbers, looking for cash in all the easy places, and Hillary imagines nobody will notice the greed if she poses as the selfless philanthropist, Lady Bountiful giving away her $250,000 speaker’s fees to the Clinton family foundation. The public, however, is on to the foundation scam, which looks like a tax dodge. The Clintons control their foundation, and the public suspects that the chief beneficiaries of the foundation “charity” are named Bill, Hillary and Chelsea.”

So, this is one more confirmation of the workings of the foundation scheme whose financial contributors were listed here back on June 24th. What’s more, this is a family that doesn’t take very long to figure out. All you need to do is spend a few minutes of research time on the Web. And then you quickly find that, as always, the answers come to light if you simply follow the money, which for them is always what it’s all about.

That’s it for today folks.

Adios
