BloggeRhythms 6/13/2013

One of the most valuable lessons in my sales career, and one of the hardest to sustain, was to remain patient in highly competitive transactions. For most people of any age, and in all walks of life, having to wait for things they desire, need or crave is an extremely difficult endeavor.

Nonetheless, when prospective customers wish to examine various alternatives before making a buying decision, there’s not only little competitors can do to accelerate the matter, pushy seller’s behavior and/or evidences of impatience not only won’t move the buying process any faster, there’s a significant chance it will irritate or perhaps alienate the buyer altogether.

Therefore, even in situations where one is sure that competitors cannot deliver as promised, or have been misleading or untruthful in presenting their offerings, all the talk in the world will do little good until proven facts speak for themselves. In fact, until presented with hard evidence and proof, most prospects assume negativism about competition is something all sellers continually present And that’s why, even when chances of outperforming competition is high, waiting patiently throughout prospect's entire evaluation processes is generally not only the best sales approach, but the most professionally appearing as well.

I bring this subject today, because that’s the position in which Republicans now find themselves. And while many of them are champing at the bit, eager to begin piling onto a wounded adversary, the facts indicate its best to sit back and wait. Because each day brings additional evidence of competitive incompetence, compounded by untruths, evasion of guilt and complete and utter denial of recorded fact.

Consequently, since all the talk and finger-pointing in the world will fall on deaf ears of those still clinging to the fabrications presented to them in the incumbent's endless speeches, Republican mud-slinging and I told you-so’s are a waste of time and breath.

However, the slowly unraveling facts about Benghazi, the IRS, the NSA, PRISM, the EPA, global warming’s non-existence, alternative energy failures and patronage bailout’s are progressively proving how disastrous the administration actually is. And that’s why without lifting a finger, all any viable contender really need do is not much else than sit back and watch as the stubborn, incompetent incumbent and his cadre of close cohorts continue to destroy themselves.

That's it for today folks.

Adios
