BloggeRhythms

Yesterday Rachael Blade reported that Lois Lerner, sat down with POLITICO in an exclusive two-hour session, still claiming that, “I didn’t do anything wrong. I’m proud of my career and the job I did for this country.”

In the meantime, since her computer files and emails are still lost,  the job of discovering the truth about IRS abuses of power is still close to impossible, which is now, perhaps, the model for all failed administrative undertakings.

Mark Tapscott, executive editor of the Washington Examiner, writes today that: “Federal health insurance officials can't tell Congress how much the government has spent since 2010 selling Obamacare to a key segment of the market, according to the Government Accountability Office.

The accounting system used by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid, which manages Obamacare, doesn't track "expenditure totals for CCIIO-related polling, focus groups, or advertising and other public relations activities," GAO said in a report made public Monday.

CCIIO, the Center for Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight’s main focus is overseeing implementation of Obamacare provisions that apply to the private health insurance market and the health insurance exchanges created by the program.

GAO said, “The inability of CMS to provide credible data on what CCIIO is doing in a timely fashion means "Congress and other decision makers may not have access to timely and reliable CCIIO-related information that they may need to make resource allocation decisions and assessments of program performance."

So, what this means is that in the year 2014 where technology has become reliable to the extent that the entire nation is automated almost completely, two out-of-control-government agencies, having multi-billion dollar responsibilities are using an updated version of the age-old children’s excuse, “The dog ate my homework,” to cover their tracks.

That’s it for today folks.

Adios
