BloggeRhythms

It’s doubtful that many people pay much attention when Joe Biden speaks, whereas he rarely makes much sense, often presenting error-filled commentary. However, yesterday he addressed several hundred people, mostly union workers, in Detroit’s old Tiger Stadium. His presentation was quite interesting, if you take some time to consider what was said, whereas he basically buried the administration he sits next to the top of.

According to the myFOXDetroit.com staff, “Biden spoke about the power of the union and how the union really is the reason why many of us have rights. He also stressed the importance of all Americans sticking together and, if we do that, how we will succeed. He believes if the middle class does well, so will everyone else.”

Then came the words that should provide real stimulation. But not to Democrats. Instead its ammunition for their Republican rivals.

Biden said, “The American people have not stopped dreaming. The American people have not walked away from what they believe they are entitled to. Just give them a chance! No hand out - just give them a chance!"

He then “left his supporters with the reassurance that America should not give up and that we are coming back.”

So, now let’s consider what his words really mean. Because for the past seven and a half years the nation and its economy have been in the absolute control of the Democrat party. The last two years of the Bush administration Democrats controlled Congress, while for the past five and a half they’ve had both, the White House and Senate.

In the meantime, bill after bill, or any other legislative ideas for growth presented by Republicans have been quashed by Harry Reid or presidential veto. Additionally, the EPA continues to strangle business growth, the XL pipeline  remains unfinished, corporate taxes are the highest among free-market nations, the health care tax is driving up costs for businesses' and consumers both, minimum wage hikes will cause personnel replacement with automation, major enterprises are seeking to move away from the U.S.A and even the staunchest party supporter, Warren Buffett, has had enough.

Therefore, it's Democrat damage the nation needs to "come back" from.

In the last analysis though, Biden’s words will be treated as simply more hot air from a politician, likely getting very little interest from those that heard them. And that’s really the saddest part of the whole situation.

Because, if those in the audience, and other workers around the nation, especially those currently unemployed, actually understood and digested the cause of the economic problems plaguing them currently, Biden not only would have been booed off the stage, he wouldn’t have been elected in the first place.

That’s it for today folks.

Adios
