As the health care tax continues to fall far short of its goals and heads closer to extinction, Dems are trying valiantly to move on to other issues, stemming their losses as best they can.

 

Unfortunately though, a real world event has once again proven them entirely wrong.

 

In today’s case, global warming advocates lost significant ground as reported by Tomas Jivanda of The Independent via Drudge, who writes that: ”The sun has "flipped upside down", with its north and south poles reversed to reach the midpoint of Solar Cycle 24, NASA has said.”

 

As a result, “Now, the magnetic fields will once again start moving in opposite directions to begin the completion of the 22 year long process which will culminate in the poles switching once again.”

 

The story goes on to note that, “A reversal of the sun's magnetic field is, literally, a big event," said NASA’s Dr. Tony Phillips. "The domain of the sun's magnetic influence (also known as the 'heliosphere') extends billions of kilometers beyond Pluto. Changes to the field's polarity ripple all the way out to the Voyager probes, on the doorstep of interstellar space."

 

Now, not being a scientist and having no real expertise in the subject at all, I searched for a simple explanation and found the following in the comment section of the article itself.

 

A reader, Don Perry, wrote, “The polarity reversal is indicative of having the phase of decline in magnetic activity heading to solar minimum. There is a strong hypothesis that correlates sunspot activity with climate change on earth. Since the sun is entering minimal solar activity that hasn't been seen since the Little Ice Age, if this hypothesis is correct, you will be directly affected with significantly colder temperatures for a very long time that may affect mankind's ability to grow crops in areas such as Canada. Mankind has always done better when the climate is warm and very poorly when the climate is cold. Do a search for Little Ice Age and see what may be coming in your very near future. A new such event will make your current political concerns seem as child's play.”

 

Since the “flipping” of the sun was reported by NASA, and this season’s daily weather reports indicate significantly colder temperatures across the nation, common sense suggests that the cooling trend noted above is most likely true..

 

But then again, I may be proven entirely wrong if the environmentalists ever get their frozen ship thawed out and unstuck in Antarctica and come back with reports that the Dem’s global warming warnings are all  valid.
