BloggeRhythms 6/1/2011

The last few days I've written about leadership, because of a book review I'd read in which I thought the reviewer completely missed the author's message. However, the most important thing was, between the author and the reviewer there were two completely different viewpoints of the same basic information.

Then today, I caught a brief set of comments from Steve Forbes regarding the current state of the nation. In Forbes short list of what he sees as the nation's ills, he listed unemployment, rock bottom real estate prices still falling, the printing of too many dollars, too costly fuel, disappearance of the public's savings, future health care costs rising out of control and an outdated, unwieldy tax code. In all he saw disaster, and compared the nation's current political status to a Soviet style model that's clearly been proven to fail. Meanwhile, we have an administration that strongly believes they're on the right track for all.

So, I guess what it all really comes down too is perspective, and what one sees when viewing the same information. Because both Rudy and Forbes believe that a free economy and government limitation provide the foundation for economic and personal success, while the current incumbents believe the diametric reverse. And I guess we'll get to see which one of those viewpoints is correct, as we go down the road a little further. Provided, that is, if there's a nation left.

That's it for today folks.

Adios
