BloggeRhythms

Very late start today, due to major issues with malfunctioning Windows 10. However, after several hours wasted with Microsoft support and re-installation of HP printer updates, things seem to be working correctly again.

As far as news goes, two brief items illustrate how the liberal mindset might sound like the ideal philosophy regarding fair treatment for one and all, regardless. Yet, real world circumstances clearly illustrate that seeing the world through rose-colored glasses is not only misguided, it’s extremely dangerous.

Kellan Howell @washingtontimes.com reports that: “When asked at the annual Texas Border Coalition meeting if any suspected Islamic State terrorists had yet infiltrated the border, Steven McCraw, director of the Texas Department of Public Safety replied, “Individuals that come across the Texas/Mexican border from countries with a known terrorism presence and the answer to that is yes.”

Confirming the probability of terrorist infiltration, Director McCraw added that there are: “individuals that we’ve needed to debrief in Pashto and Urdu,” referring to the languages typically spoken in Afghanistan and Pakistan. According to NBC affiliate 8KGNS News.

Thus, this is a situation that speaks for itself.

The next item concerns a topic often mentioned here as a potentiality, which is now quickly coming to fruition.

As Democrat politicians increase pressure to increase the minimum wage, they seem to ignore the obvious reaction of businesspeople to rising costs. However, the world isn’t standing still to permit fulfillment of political mistakes, as evidenced by the following article.

Arun Kristian Das @fox5ny.com, writes about robots replacing personnel in a Best Buy pilot program in one of its New York City stores.

Mr. Das writes: “No human contact. (Is that good or bad? I don't know. Efficiency ultimately costs people their jobs but at least this way, Best Buy workers can focus on customers who need help with much more complex products and services.)

“The Chelsea location at West 23rd Street and Avenue of the Americas is the first Best Buy store to feature the Chloe robot, according to Carly Charlson, a company spokesperson. She said the robot may come to others stores.”

Additionally, two robotic kiosks are located in the vestibule, which is open 24 hours a day, much like Best Buy vending machines seen in airports and hotels.

Which means that moves to similar automation will soon be seen in many other places, from many other businesses. And therefore, what Democrat politicians have actually done, is to raise minimum wages for some, while speeding up the elimination of jobs altogether for countless numbers of others.

Which brings us to today’s update on Bill Clinton’s wife, that concerns the growing probability of competition from Joe Biden.

Edward-Isaac Dovere writes @politico.com that: “At the end of August, while friends were still worrying aloud that he was in the worst mental state possible to be making this decision, [Joe Biden]invited Elizabeth Warren for an unannounced Saturday lunch at the Naval Observatory.

“According to sources connected with Warren, he raised Clinton’s scheduled appearance at the House Benghazi Committee hearing at the end of October, even hinting that there might be a running-mate opening for the Massachusetts senator.”

However, the most important point made in the article is that while he has kept talking about it with Obama and both remain tight-lipped about those conversations: “They’ve got lunch again Tuesday afternoon at the White House.”

Which means that there may be an official announcement of Biden's running tomorrow, and leads to the ongoing question: Mayor Bloomberg, and Starbuck’s chairman and CEO, Howard Schultz, are you reading this?

That's it for today folks.

Adios
