The president and his golf clubs have finally returned from Hawaii, which means he can now get back to his number one priority. Fighting global-warming with his most important compatriot, Secretary of State, John Kerry. However, Jack Frost and Mother Nature have once again thrown a monkey-wrench into the climate-change scenario.

Alex Sosnowski, Expert Senior Meteorologist for accuweather.com, headlined an article this morning: “Brutal Cold to Blast Eastern Half of US, Challenge Records in Midwest.”

Meteorologist Sosnowski reports that, “Temperatures may struggle to get above zero F in Chicago and Minneapolis on Wednesday, where nighttime low temperatures will dip well below zero on multiple nights during the middle and second half of the week.

Furthermore, “According to AccuWeather Chief Meteorologist Elliot Abrams, "Once temperatures drop below freezing in New York City Monday night, they may not get back above freezing until late next weekend.

"In Chicago, it may not be until late next week before temperatures climb back above freezing. Record low temperatures set 70 to nearly 130 years ago will be challenged in parts of the Midwest on Wednesday night.”

And, just to be sure that the president gets the message, because he always claims to be unaware of what goes on in the news, “Highs will only be in the 20s in Washington, D.C., on Thursday despite sunshine.”

Which means that, unless he plans to wear thermal jockey shorts and hand-warmers, he’s going to play some really miserably cold rounds of golf in DC for the next few days at least.

That's it for today folks.

Adios
