BloggeRhythms 9/3/2012

Over the past few days, I’ve mentioned my realization that perhaps Democrat voters don’t really grasp the aims and goals of Republican ideology. And that a reason for that situation might derive, among other causes, from an inability of many of them to comprehend the complexities of the nation’s financial system in general or how our economy actually works.

I then went on to note that Democrat politicians, fully understanding that their core constituents either don’t know or don’t care that eventually the nation will collapse from the weight of  it’s debt, continue to demonize all those who oppose reversing the trend or attempt to repair the problems.

In the end, I concluded that it was more likely to me that lack of knowledge was the problem’s core, due to the dismal state of education in the nation and the fact that most of todays teachers don’t know very much about anything either.

However, today I tripped over an article on Drudge that indicated to me that perhaps, one or two ardent Dem supporters might actually be waking up.

Noel Sheppard, of Media Research Center’s NewsBusters, says John Cusack, a “perilously liberal actor” according to them, Saturday in an article published by Truthout asked: "Is the President just another Ivy League A--hole shredding civil liberties and due process and sending people to die in some s--thole for purely political reasons?"

They say Cusack’s article then goes on to relate that, “Mr. Obama, the Christian president with the Muslim-sounding name, would heed the admonitions of neither religion's prophets about making war and do what no empire or leader, including Alexander the Great, could do: he would, he assured us "get the job done in Afghanistan." And so we have our democratic president receiving the Nobel Peace Prize as he sends 30,000 more troops to a ten-year-old conflict in a country that's been war-torn for 5,000 years. Why? We'll never fully know. Instead, we got a speech that was stone bullshit and an insult to the very idea of peace.”

So, here we have a crystal clear example of what happens when even the most leftist folks imaginable stop, think, and analyze what the incumbent actually does, instead of simply drinking the Kool-Aid, getting in line, and banging a drum.

As for me, I think Cusack’s article is only a reflection of the tip of an iceberg. Because as I type, the Dem’s running the convention in Charlotte are out renting buses to bring in students from surrounding schools to fill a stadium that would otherwise be closer to empty. And when you add that to the reversal in the presidential polls, it seems that more and more voters like Mr. Cusack have simply had enough of what he calls the BS.

That’s it for today folks.

Adios
