BloggeRhythms 9//10/2012

Changing channels a few minutes ago, looking for headlines, I came across Lou Dobbs talking to Megyn Kelly of America Live on Fox News. The crawler said they were discussing reasons for why the presidential polls are still so close, so I turned the sound up to listen in.

Now, I’ve clicked on to Dobbs own show every once in a while, and he seemed to be quite pro-Conservative to me. In fact, I thought he attempted to set up left-leaning guests, at times becoming quite verbally aggressive in disagreeing with them. However, I find him to be overly talkative, seemingly very impressed with himself and quite overbearing as well, coming across much like a teacher addressing a kindergarten class for slow-learners including using a white board to make the simplest points…which by the way, he doesn’t do very well because he often confuses himself as he tries to write and speak simultaneously. Consequently, I rarely bother to watch.

I’m mentioning him now though, because he said that in his opinion, Mitt Romney hasn't yet distinguished himself from the incumbent and therefore, prospective voters can’t see a clear enough difference between them. Thus, Dobbs went on, until Romney establishes himself more clearly and becomes more definitive in his positions, voters aren’t going to be persuaded that he’ll turn the nation’s economy and sinking world position around.

Now, as for myself, I think that by continually repeating that he’d repeal most of the new health care tax, use the nation’s own resources for it’s oil, lower taxes on businesses and their owners, repair the faltering educational system, rebuild our armed forces, bolster ties with England, Israel, and Poland, get more aggressive against Iran and create12 million new jobs as well, Mitt Romney’s made a relatively good start in explaining some of the things he plans to change for the better.

So, perhaps, if Lou Dobbs stopped yapping for a moment and actually listened to somebody else speak, he might even learn something. Because in hearing him babble to Ms. Kelly this afternoon it occurred to me that while Republicans have always had a problem with the left-leaning media, and will likely never overcome the continuing bias, if the ones who really do want to support them are as dense as Lou Dobbs, they’re dead ducks everywhere else in the press as well.

That’s it for today folks.

Adios
