BloggeRhythms

Following the blueprint set in Saul Alinsky 101, confusing issues to his advantage, the president went after Staples yesterday. Two major points made obvious were, Staples knows precisely how the US economy works, while the president either knows less then nothing about the US economy, or simply chooses to ignore the damage his policies are doing to it.

While the details are interesting, because they reveal so much about how the president despises a free economy, he particularly lashed out against CEO’s and business leaders who have cut hours in response to costly Affordable Care Act mandates which would force them to provide insurance for employees working more than 30 hours a week.

But in using Staples specifically as his target it seems he made significant error, because the company instituted its employee policy more than 10 years ago, before the health tax existed, and hasn’t changed their polices since.

In that regard, Rush presented a detailed overview :

Item two covers another story involving money and one of its hungriest stalkers, Bill Clinton’s wife.

According to theguardian.com/us, “The charitable foundation run by Hillary Clinton and her family has received as much as $81m from wealthy international donors who were clients of HSBC’s controversial Swiss bank.”

Revealed identities of seven donors to the Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton Foundation with accounts in Geneva include several high-profile business magnates, including Frank Giustra, a Canadian mining magnate and one of the foundation’s biggest financial backers, and Richard Caring, the British retail magnate who, the bank’s internal records show, used his tax-free Geneva account to transfer $1m into the New York-based foundation.

The issue has caused the Guardian to note that, “Hillary Clinton has expressed concern over growing economic inequality in the US and is expected to make the issue a cornerstone of her widely anticipated presidential campaign in 2016. However, political observers are increasingly asking whether the former secretary of state’s focus on wealth inequality sits uncomfortably with the close relationships she and her husband have nurtured with some of the world’s richest individuals.”

So, like always, if you can’t find Bill's wife but need her, just follow the money and she’ll be there.

That's it for today folks.

Adios
