BloggeRhythms

There’s a show on CNBC titled, American Greed. Each episode features one or more stories behind some of the biggest corporate and white collar crimes in recent U.S. history. A majority of the crimes seem to be some kind of variation of Ponzi schemes.

Ponzi schemes themselves usually entice new investors by offering higher returns than others, often either abnormally high or unusually consistent. Perpetuation of the high returns requires an ever-increasing flow of money from new investors to sustain the scheme.

These schemes come to mind, because in his own way that’s how the incumbent has consistently operated both politically and in job performance. Making unfulfillable promises, distorting facts or omitting damaging information completely. Then, when non-fulfillment occurs, pointing fingers and blaming others for disastrous results.

A classic example occurred yesterday when he authorized military action to protect U.S. personnel and Iraqi civilians sending U.S. fighter jets in a “targeted” airstrike against Islamic militants in Iraq.

Therefore, after campaigning on troop withdrawal and beginning the process as soon as possible once elected, he ignored the exposure created while wasting the gains achieved by the U.S. since 1991. And now, although denying terrorism’s depth and dangers to please constituents, our nation is back to zero and having to start all over again in Iraq.

Along the same lines, is the incumbent’s belief that terrorism around the world poses very little threat here at home. Therefore he, much like Republican Rand Paul, would have citizens believe there’s nothing to fear from foreign entities, despite September 11, 2001.

However, the very group the incumbent’s attacking in Iraq, is now threatening to strike the American homeland.

According to dailycaller.com/2014, Abu Mosa, a spokesman for the terror group known as the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS), told VICE Media in a video interview posted online Thursday, “I say to America that the Islamic Caliphate has been established. Don’t be cowards and attack us with drones. Instead send your soldiers, the ones we humiliated in Iraq. We will humiliate them everywhere, God willing, and we will raise the flag of Allah in the White House.”

So, after all the incumbent’s rhetoric is endless speeches, it seems that a basic problem occurs quite regularly. Despite the constant gibberish he delivers otherwise, those pesky facts and realities keep getting in his way.

On another issue, Joel Gehrke writes in The Corner column in The Daily Caller that, “The revelation that Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services administrator Marilynn Tavenner did not retain her e-mails means that more than 20 witness in the Obama administration lost or deleted e-mails without notifying Congress, according to the top House investigator.

“The Obama administration has lost or destroyed e-mails for more than 20 witnesses, and in each case, the loss wasn’t disclosed to the National Archives or Congress for months or years, in violation of federal law,” House Oversight and Government Reform Committee chairman Darrell Issa (R., Calif.) said of Tavenner’s lost e-mails.”

Which goes to prove that if you can find something that works reliably, don’t try to fix it. Just keep doing the same thing over and over again Like Lois Lerner, and now administrator, Marilynn Tavenner, of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services and 20 others..

But aside from the refusal or inability to provide information asked for by Congressional committees and other oversight groups, Melissa Quinn of The Daily Signal via Drudge reports that, “More than half of the federal government’s inspectors general have joined to lodge a formal complaint that the Obama administration places “serious limitations” on their ability to uncover waste, fraud, and abuse.”

Ms Quinn writes that, according to Fox News, “To date, a total of 47 of the 73 government watchdogs sent an unprecedented letter to leaders of two congressional committees.”

In the complaint letter, the inspectors general say: “Agency actions that limit, condition, or delay access thus have profoundly negative consequences for our work: they make us less effective, encourage other agencies to take similar actions in the future, and erode the morale of the dedicated professionals that make up our staffs.”

What's’ more, the watchdogs involved are some of the most critical and responsible of all, including, Inspector General’s from the National Security Agency, the Department of Homeland Security, and the Department of Justice.

Congressman Darryl Issa said, “there has never been a letter even with a dozen IGs complaining.” Calling the letter unprecedented, he added, “This is the majority of all inspectors general saying not just in the examples they gave, but government wide, they see a pattern that is making them unable to do their job.”

And in that regard, the watchdogs fit right in with the rest of the current administration. Because, although this group is unable to perform properly due to purposeful efforts to prevent them, the rest of those in this government can’t do so either. But that’s not due to planned obstruction. The cause for them is complete and absolute incompetence.

That’s it for today folks.

Adios
